S.H.I.E.L.D Headquarters...

Deep inside the control room of S.H.I.E.L.D Headquarters, the large surveillance screens glowed with thermal imaging from the drones circling above the Nagano Prefecture mountain ranges.

Gwen leaned closer to the main monitor.

The zoom stabilized.

Rows of orange heat signatures appeared moving through the forest trails.

Humans. Many of them.

Gwen frowned slightly.

-Frown

"Confirmed visual."

She expanded the feed across the central display.

The image sharpened. Men carrying tranquilizer rifles. Electric capture nets.

Heavy cages strapped to trucks crawling slowly through the mountain road.

Ravi let out a long whistle.

-Whistle!

"Well well… Guess who's back."

Sandeep stepped forward and counted the heat signatures with narrowed eyes.

"…forty… forty-two… …forty-five."

Behind them several massive transport trucks rolled forward.

Metal cages stacked inside. Clearly meant for animals.

Sandeep shook his head.

"Hunters."

Since the inauguration of S.H.I.E.L.D, this had become a recurring issue.

The Nagano Beast Forest was a protected ecological zone.

Many animals inside had developed quirk mutations over generations.

Some possessed strange abilities. Some were harmless. Some extremely dangerous.

But all of them were now government-protected wildlife.

Because of that—Illegal hunters had begun targeting them.

Black market buyers paid huge sums for mutated creatures.

Venom glands. Quirk DNA. Even live beasts.

Because of the growing problem, the government had created a patrol system.

Hero agencies near Nagano rotated supervision of the forest.

Two agencies handled most of the patrol duty currently:

• S.H.I.E.L.D Hero Agency

• Wild, Wild Pussycats

Normally the poachers avoided the area.

But today…

They had returned. With a much larger group.

Ravi grabbed the communicator device. He pressed the channel switch.

"All patrol teams, respond."

Static crackled across the forest frequencies. Then voices began answering.

From Team Ra-One:

"Ra-One here."

The calm voice echoed from the forest.

Ravi replied hearing Rudra reply.

"Boss, we've got hunters."

He sent the drone footage to all field communicators.

"Forty-five members. Multiple trucks. Looks like they're preparing a full capture sweep."

Layla's voice came next.

"…that's not a hunting group."

"That's a raid."

Momo studied the projection on her communicator.

Her expression hardened.

"They're targeting multiple species."

Team Shiva:

Shiva's voice burst through the comms.

"Finally!"

Mina gasped excitedly.

"REAL VILLAINS?!"

Kendo immediately scolded her.

"They're poachers, Mina!"

"Still criminals."

Shiva laughed lightly.

-Haha

"Don't worry kids."

"We'll handle them."

Team Amirtha:

Amirtha's calm voice followed.

"We have several quirk-animals nearby."

"If the hunters move deeper, the ecosystem will panic."

Koda nodded nervously beside her.

-Nod

Birds around him chirped anxiously.

Shiozaki whispered softly.

"The forest senses disturbance."

Team Junoo:

Junoo sounded amused.

"Oh? Field test time."

Jiro sighed hearing Junoo on the very first day of internship they were going to face a large number of hunters.

"…I knew today wouldn't stay peaceful."

A large speech bubble popped over Manga Fukidashi.

"BATTLE ARC!"

Hagakure cheered invisibly.

Back in the forest clearing, Ra-One stood silently while watching the moving signals on his visor display.

Forty-five hunters.

Multiple transport trucks.

Heavy equipment. This wasn't simple poaching.

This was organized. He pressed the communicator calmly.

"All teams."

Instant silence followed.

"...."

"...."

"...."

"We intercept before they reach the inner forest."

His visor glowed slightly brighter.

"Do not engage recklessly. These men carry tranquilizers designed for large quirk beasts."

A pause.

"But they are still criminals."

His voice hardened.

"We stop them."

Back in the command room Ravi cracked his knuckles.

-Crack -Crack

"Alright… Interns' first real field action."

Sandeep smirked hearing Ravi's words.

-Smirk

"Think they're ready?"

Gwen crossed her arms.

"They'll have to be."

She zoomed the screen further.

The trucks were now entering the first protected zone.

Ravi leaned into the mic again.

"Boss… Poachers entering Zone 3."

Ra-One replied instantly.

"Understood."

The forest wind rustled through the towering trees.

The Beast Forest grew quieter the deeper one went.

"....."

"....."

"....."

Wind whispered through ancient cedar trunks.

Moss covered the stones like a green carpet, and somewhere far away an elk called through the valley.

But beneath that calm… Engines rumbled. Metal clanked.

Forty-five armed poachers pushed deeper into the protected zone of Nagano Prefecture.

Large trucks followed slowly behind them, cages rattling as they bounced over the uneven forest trail.

One of the men laughed while adjusting his tranquilizer rifle.

-Haha

"Jackpot today boys. I heard there's a thunder-antler elk around here."

Another kicked one of the empty cages.

"That thing alone could sell for ten million."

None of them noticed the silent figures watching from the trees.

Meanwhile...

Ra-One's Team...

High above on a thick tree branch, Momo Yaoyorozu crouched carefully.

Beside her, Layla – Ivy blended with the shadows, calm and focused.

And ahead of them—Standing directly on the path…

Ra-One stepped out from behind a tree.

He walked calmly into the middle of the trail.

The red visor on his helmet gleamed faintly.

Direct Confrontation The poachers froze.

One of them squinted.

"…who the hell—"

Then someone shouted.

"WAIT! That's him! The hero! RA-ONE!"

Instant panic rippled through the group.

Several rifles were raised immediately.

Ra-One stopped ten meters away from them.

His voice modulation echoed through the quiet forest.

"You are currently inside a protected wildlife reserve."

He gestured slightly toward the trucks.

"Hunting quirk-mutated animals here is illegal."

A pause.

"Leave the forest. Now."

The leader of the group stepped forward.

A large man wearing armored hunting gear. He spat on the ground.

-Spit

"Cute speech."

Then he pointed his rifle.

"Forty-five against one hero."

Several others laughed.

-Hahahaha!!!

"You picked the wrong forest patrol today."

Tranquilizer rifles clicked.

Electric capture nets crackled. The leader smirked.

-Crackle! -Smirk!

"Boys. Take him down."

The moment the first man stepped forward—Ra-One moved.

Not forward. Sideways. Just enough.

A sharp whistle sliced through the air.

-Whistle!

From the treetops—

THWIP!

A tranquilizer dart shot down like lightning.

One poacher collapsed instantly.

Then another. Then another.

Three men fell unconscious before the others even understood what was happening.

"SNIPERS! IN THE TREES!"

Up above, Momo calmly loaded another dart into a compact launcher she had just created.

Her eyes focused. Precise. Professional.

"Targeting armed individuals first."

She fired again.

THWIP.

Another poacher dropped.

At the same moment—Vines burst from the forest floor.

Green whips shot out from the roots of nearby trees.

-SWISH!!! -SWISH!!!

Layla's quirk activated.

Two poachers were instantly pinned against a tree trunk. Their rifles clattered to the ground.

"Movement restricted,"

Layla said calmly.

"Please remain still."

One of them screamed.

"WHAT THE—"

The vines tightened around them.

Now the poachers realized.

This wasn't a solo hero. This was an ambush.

"SHOOT HIM!"

Three rifles fired tranquilizer darts at once.

Ra-One stepped forward.

Tiny red cubes flowed across his arm.

They formed a circular energy shield.

THUD.

The darts bounced harmlessly off.

Then he vanished.

To the poachers—It looked like he teleported.

In reality—He simply moved faster than they expected.

Ra-One appeared beside the nearest hunter.

His hand grabbed the man's collar.

Lift. Slam.

-BAM!!!

The man hit the ground unconscious. Another rushed him with an electric net gun.

Ra-One caught the weapon mid-shot.

Crushed the barrel.

-CRACK!

Then casually elbowed the man's chest.

The poacher folded instantly.

Within thirty seconds—Chaos filled the forest trail.

Some poachers tried retreating. Others fired wildly into the trees.

But every time someone aimed upward—A tranquilizer dart knocked them out.

Above the battlefield, Momo stayed calm.

"Ten targets neutralized."

She fired again.

"Twelve."

Layla's vines dragged two more hunters off their feet.

"Fourteen."

Meanwhile Ra-One walked steadily through the group.

Every movement precise. Every strike controlled.

No lethal force. Just efficient takedowns.

The poacher leader looked around in horror.

Half his men were already unconscious.

"What the hell is this agency?!"

He grabbed a heavy capture rifle and aimed directly at Ra-One.

"DROP!"

Before he could fire—A dart hit his shoulder.

He blinked slowly. Then collapsed face-first into the dirt.

Silence Returns

"...."

"...."

"...."

Within two minutes—The forest path was quiet again.

Dozens of poachers lay unconscious on the ground.

The trucks idled uselessly behind them.

Ra-One dusted off his glove calmly.

Above him, Momo jumped down from the tree.

Layla followed behind.

Momo looked around in awe and excited.

"…that was incredibly efficient."

Layla smiled slightly.

"Good work with the darts."

Ra-One activated his communicator.

"Headquarters."

Ravi's voice answered instantly.

"Yeah boss?"

"Poachers neutralized."

He glanced at the trucks.

"Forty-five suspects detained."

Ravi whistled through the comm.

"…well that was fast."

Just as the team began securing the poachers—The forest suddenly grew quiet again.

Too quiet.

Then—A massive roar echoed from deeper inside Beast Forest.

-ROAR!!!

The ground trembled.

Birds exploded from the treetops.

Momo froze.

"…that didn't sound like a normal animal."

Ra-One slowly turned toward the deeper forest.

His visor scanned the distance.

Layla's expression changed.

"…that's big."

Very big. And it was coming toward them.

The forest suddenly felt… smaller.

Ra-One had already dragged Layla and Momo Yaoyorozu into a thick cluster of bushes when the ground began to tremble.

THUD. THUD.

Each step was heavy enough to shake loose leaves from the branches above.

Birds exploded from the trees.

Somewhere deeper in the forest, animals fled.

Then it appeared.

A massive white tiger stepped out from between the towering cedar trees.

But this was no ordinary tiger.

Its body resembled an ancient saber-tooth, enormous curved fangs extending from its jaws like ivory daggers.

Thick fur shimmered like snow under sunlight.

Across its body—Electric blue arcs snapped and crawled through the air.

Small bolts crackled across its shoulders and tail.

Every few seconds—

CRACK.

Static electricity burst around it. Layla's breath caught.

"…that thing is huge."

Momo's hands trembled slightly as she slowly began forming a tranquilizer cannon from her arm.

"…that's a quirk-mutated apex predator."

The tiger lowered its head. Its nose twitched.

Sniffing. Searching.

-Sniff! -Sniff!

Then slowly—It turned directly toward the bush where they hid.

Its glowing blue eyes narrowed.

A deep rumbling growl rolled from its chest.

Layla instinctively prepared her vines.

Momo whispered nervously.

"…it found us."

The massive tiger stepped closer. Branches cracked beneath its paws.

Electric sparks crawled along the ground.

The growl deepened.

But Ra-One didn't move.

Instead…

He tilted his head slightly.

Listening. Because through his Nature's Son affinity, the sounds were no longer just animal noises.

"...."

They were… words.

Primitive. Instinctual. But understandable.

The tiger's thoughts were simple.

"Hungry. Smell humans. Maybe food. Drop and run..."

Ra-One blinked behind his visor.

"...."

For a moment…

He was completely stunned.

The tiger sniffed again and spoke through a low rumbling growl.

-Sniff

"You three… Smell edible. Mind giving food?"

Ra-One froze. Speechless.

"...."

Layla whispered urgently.

"…why aren't we moving?"

Momo tightened her grip on the tranquilizer launcher.

"We should retreat slowly—"

But Ra-One raised a hand gently.

"Wait."

Both girls stared at him.

'Wait? For what?'

Were there thoughts.

The enormous lightning tiger stepped closer again.

Electric arcs flickered across its fur.

It tilted its head curiously. Then growled again.

-Grr!

"You smell strange. Not prey. Still hungry though. Could it be your are my lost brother. You look like a human though."

Ra-One slowly stood up from the bushes.

"Ra-One! Or you could call me Rudra."

Momo whispered in panic.

But he calmly stepped out into the open.

The tiger's eyes widened slightly seeing the guy approaching him.

"...."

It sniffed again. Then blinked.

"Forest child? But how could forest have child? Who could be the father?"

The tiger tilted its massive head.

Ra-One exhaled slowly. Then spoke quietly. While his eyes twitched hearing the last part

"…you're hungry?"

Layla and Momo stared.

"...."

"...."

The tiger blinked again.

"Yes. Hungry. Humans loud earlier. Scared away food."

Ra-One glanced back briefly.

The poachers. Their trucks. Their noise.

They had disturbed the forest.

Which meant the tiger had been hunting nearby.

Now it had nothing to eat. He sighed softly.

-Sigh

"…that explains it."

Momo whispered behind him.

"…you're talking to it?"

Layla stared in disbelief.

"…and it's… listening?"

The tiger sniffed Ra-One again.

Then sat down like a giant annoyed housecat.

Electric sparks flickered around its whiskers.

"You understand. Good. Bring food."

Ra-One pinched the bridge of his nose under the helmet.

A lightning saber-tooth tiger…

Just politely asked him for lunch.

He muttered quietly.

"…I did not expect this problem today."

Layla crossed her arms.

"So what now?"

The tiger's stomach growled loudly.

It looked slightly embarrassed.

Ra-One sighed again. Then turned toward Momo.

-Sigh

"…Yaoyorozu."

Momo blinked snapping out her stupor.

"Yes?"

"…how quickly can you create ten kilograms of raw meat?"

The tiger's ears perked up immediately.

Its tail started swishing with excitement.

"Good forest child. You bring food. You may live."

Layla burst out laughing.

-Haha

"You just negotiated with a lightning tiger."

Ra-One looked up at the massive beast sitting patiently.

"…apparently."

The tiger wagged its tail like a thundercloud.

The internship had officially become strange.
