Chapter 2 - Such is Society

After Toshiko left I immediately activated the phone.

This is justifiable as I am a curious child and Toshiko seems like he is forgiving towards children.

Immediately after the phone turned on and the screen glowed.

I heard Toshiko's voice through the phone.

"sigh... This is called a phone. The instructions I gave you activate the phone. And the phone lets you talk to me from far away. Do you understand?" Toshiko said with a mix of exasperation and self disappointment.

Perhaps Toshiko expected the mature and thoughtful children often seen in the early canon of the Naruto story. Individuals like Itachi and Kakashi with an early adult mind.

But this was before the age of ninja. This was before endless war made children mature earlier due to natural selection. And when it came to being a transmigrator being early matured.

I was the exception.

"Can I talk to you anytime I want with this!"

"Actually... Yes you can. Just make sure to leave the phone in the sun. It will allow the phone to keep turning on."

"Thank you skyman! uh. I'm going to turn this phon off now. How do I do it?"

"you press the red butto-"

I pressed the red button and ended the phone call. As a child of the royal family of the land of Ancestors I had to hang up as playtime was over and I wanted to avoid suspicion and having the phone taken away.

From that day on I contacted Toshiko every couple of days .

Sometimes I heard the sounds of powerful jutsu and battles over the phone. Sometimes Toshiko didn't respond to my calls.

Maybe he felt obligated to respond to my calls. In his eyes I was just an innocent child who saw a man fall and ascend back to the sky. Why wouldn't I try to talk to him.

Over the years we talked about all sorts of things.

"Toshiko! I just became the Daimyo!"

"Congratulations on becoming the leader of the land of Ancestors." I heard Toshiko barely wheeze as a response. "Really, You're doing great." I heard him cough over the phone.

"Hey... Are you doing alright?"

"Yeah I'm fine kid. You don't have to worry. I just had a tiny scuffle with some of my peers." I heard him cough again, "anyways I'm a little busy right now I'll call you later."

beep

Toshiko was in fact not alright. He never responded to my calls again after that...

After that I became the greatest daimyo to ever exist in the history of daimyos. I lived my years in ever increasing technological luxury.

I used the sub-personalities created with my inspired inventor to surpass all other nations in the world. Politically, technologically, and economically I dominated.

My genius only grew greater as [Political Science] always gave me incredible ideas and [terraforming] and [agriculture] suggested many inventions that allowed me to use the land with greater efficiency.

I decided to learn from the story and try to immortalize my name to prevent the next generations from forgetting my ideals. I thought Inspired Inventor would give me the path to immortality through science, but despite my knowledge I was limited by my time and my power didn't give me a path to surpass it.

Inspired Inventor was barely a cheat as it grew too slowly. I was a genius of all time but I can't surpass material and societal requirements.

Even so, I wanted to make sure that even if, no, when I died of old age. That society would continue to advance. I couldn't care less about destroying the Naruto Canon.

[Psychology] gave me the blueprint to create a religion of science. So I made an Adeptus Mechanicus equivalent. I transformed the scientific method and advancement of civilization into a religion.

I introduced the Kardashev Scale and made it th goal to advance higher upon that scale. It was the holy mission I decreed. As for me, I became the messiah of this religion. They named me the Future King.

It represents how I am the king of the future creating and paving the way towards it. Representing the pinnacle of scientific enlightenment.

I managed to advance society extremely fast with all of these things.

By the time I was 100 years old the Land of Ancestors had already nearly reached the modern era. It was only then that I felt that Inspired Inventor really was a cheat.

There were still so many problems to be taken care of. The generational gap I created was wider than the grand canyon because of my advancement. It was supplemented by the religion I created. Kagaku.

I had reached a truly advanced age. When I was on my deathbed [Genetics] finally figured out immortality. But it was too late.

"How will we go on without you!" My disciples, most were young. Were crying as I approached the end of my life.

I smiled. Though I yearned to live longer and keep reach a higher stage on the kardashev scale my body had failed.

"I have all my arrangements set. Kagaku will endure even after I'm done. Trust me."

My best disciple, Mitsuo, the Riku Tensai of Kagaku, like the pope of christianity. Was silently crying. His face was hovered in tears and his expression was ugly.

I never had children but Mitsuo basically was my adopted child. He was the one who spearheaded Kagaku into existence while I did a lot of the science. Without him we would be decades behind on civilization.

sniff "Can you- at least leave us your last words." Mitsuo was now barely holding back his tears as was the many other people in the room with me.

I snorted. "Just as planned."

My last words were half joke and half true. If my plan succeeded I would become Immortal and I could truly claim to be an Aizen-like figure.

And so I died at the ripe old age of 162 years old. Leaving behind an ever advancing society in my wake.
