When Torifu contacted Kakuzu this morning, Kakuzu said that they would arrive in the Land of Fire tomorrow. Torifu had also used this time to clean up two empty rooms in the compound.
In a way, the Kumotsuru clan compound was becoming a shelter for the ninja world's homeless children. But Torifu didn't mind. The lonely compound had become much more lively.
"Big Brother, are we getting new people at our house again?" Minato asked curiously, watching the servants bustling around cleaning the rooms.
Torifu nodded, admitting it. "Yes, two children. After they arrive, they will only be my apprentices."
Minato understood. It meant that these two children would not be his big brother's adopted siblings, just his apprentices. That made him his big brother's last little brother. He felt very happy about that. He was also quite excited about the two children who were about to move into the Kumotsuru clan compound.
In Torifu's impression, these two children were quite well-behaved, but they had been wandering for a while. They might be a bit wild and needed to be observed before he figured out how to deal with them. But since they weren't arriving in Konoha today, Torifu didn't need to keep an eye on things here. This entire period had left him feeling a bit dizzy, and he hadn't had a chance to study the rewards the system had given him.
It was not what he had expected. His Chaos Points didn't increase, but it seemed to have been offset by his Peace Points, so he didn't get any Peace Points as a reward either. And Torifu didn't understand the reward the system gave him. It was just a door that looked very ordinary, and he had no idea what it was for. These past few days, Torifu had repeatedly asked the system what this thing was for, but the system always said that it wasn't time to use it yet. This frustrated Torifu. He had received a reward that was completely useless. Was it just going to sit in a corner and collect dust? He had been studying it for a long time, but he still didn't know what it was for. He figured he might as well just give it to Amado to see if he could figure anything out.
This was the first time Torifu couldn't understand the reward the system gave him. He got angry every time he looked at this broken door, so he decided that out of sight was out of mind. He threw it into the experimental area and let Amado study it on his own.
"Minato, watch the house. I'm going out for a bit."
Minato nodded. "Okay, Big Brother. Go ahead."
Naori had an appointment with him to meet at the ramen shop at ten o'clock this morning. It was already nine-thirty, so he had to go. Leaving the house to Minato was more than enough.
"Torifu, I'm over here."
Naori waved her hands and jumped up high.
Torifu smiled when he saw her. "I was almost late. It's a good thing the streets aren't crowded today."
Naori took Torifu's arm. "You've been so busy these past few days that you haven't had time to spend with me. Today, we can go shopping together."
Torifu nodded. It wasn't just these past few days. For the past month or two during the war, Torifu had been personally training ninja, interrogating prisoners, and so on. He rarely saw Naori. Most of their meetings were when he summoned the village's Kage-level ninja, and he had to talk to her as the Hokage. This made Naori feel a little sad. Fortunately, now that the war was over, they had more time, and their relationship had gone back to normal.
"You took over the Rain Province from the feudal lord, didn't you? What do you plan to do with it?"
Torifu didn't plan on keeping it a secret from Naori and told her directly. "Actually, I established an organization a long time ago. They've been running all over the world for me all these years, doing my bidding, so I plan to let them build a base in the Rain Province."
Naori was a little surprised, but she understood. And with this connection, it was easier to explain where Amado and Minato came from. Otherwise, he would have to keep saying that he found them at the village gate, and it was always a genius child. Who would believe that? Everyone was suspicious, but since Minato and Amado had already settled down in Konoha, no one had bothered to look into it.
"When you put it that way, it does make sense that they need a base. They need to have a home."
Torifu smiled. "You're right. I will provide all the materials they need unconditionally, and I hope they can manage that place well."
"Speaking of which, I've picked up two more children. They should arrive at the Konoha gate tomorrow."
Naori sighed. "More genius children, right? You're unbelievable."
"Where are they going to stay? At your house again?"
Torifu nodded. "Of course. They are a pair of homeless children who have been relying on each other, so they can't be separated."
"Where are they from?"
"The Land of Rain. The organization searched the entire Land of Rain to find them."
Torifu must have some kind of special ability because he was always able to find genius children. Even if he hadn't picked them up outside of Konoha, it was still ridiculous. How much effort would it take to gather these few children from all over the world? It seemed like it was a necessary task for the mysterious organization supporting Torifu to build a base. Otherwise, it would be a bit unfair to them.
"Speaking of which, with two more kids, do you really think you can teach them all?"
Torifu was a little confused. They were just two children. It wasn't difficult. Jiraiya had managed to teach three kids. He only had two, or three if you included Minato.
"Do you want me to help you? My ninjutsu isn't bad either."
Torifu smiled slightly. So that's what she was thinking. "Of course, you can. If you help me, it'll save me a lot of effort. Thank you."
Naori was also very happy to hear that. She then said nonchalantly, "You're too polite. What's there to thank between us?"
She was right. They were going to be a family soon. Torifu was also thinking about how to bring up the subject with Naori at the right time. After all, marriage was a very important matter, and it had to be taken seriously. Otherwise, it would be disrespectful to both Naori and himself.
After walking around for a while, they were a little tired. The two of them went back to the place where they had started, Ichiraku Ramen. They each ordered a bowl of deluxe ramen and started eating.
"Sometimes I can't help but admire your judgment. You even managed to find a ramen shop. What else do I not know about you?"
Ever since Torifu invested in Ichiraku Ramen and Teuchi moved to a new shop, Ichiraku Ramen had become very popular in Konoha. It was almost always full. And Teuchi kept developing new ramen flavors so that customers wouldn't get tired of them and stop coming. So, he was quite business-savvy. And Torifu's decision to invest in him was a very good one. The monthly profits were a very considerable amount, but Torifu didn't really need the money.
