When Kagami acts up in a few years, should I give him one too? But Kagami will only be around forty then, right? Would eating the fruit regress him back to infancy all at once? That would be quite alarming.
"Alright, alright. I see you don't have much going on here, so I'll head back. Honestly, I came to help and ended up getting annoyed."
Torifu was currently at a loss whether to laugh or cry. He repeatedly apologized to Kagami before finally easing his frustration.
However, Kagami truly had matters to attend to at home. He had only carved out some time today to talk with Torifu. As one of Konoha's great clans, the Uchiha Clan was practically a small village itself. The Uchiha Clan's population had already surpassed a thousand, and managing over a thousand people was no small challenge. Furthermore, as Konoha continuously expanded, the Uchiha Clan Compound had also expanded many times, buying up all the surrounding houses to build their Clan Compound.
Fortunately, Kagami had experience as a Hokage Secretary, which made handling the clan's affairs more comfortable for him. Although Torifu managed a large village of twenty to thirty thousand people, the ones actually handling the affairs were the Intelligent Puppets. After all, everything, big and small, was handed over to them, and Torifu was essentially the power-holder behind the scenes. Except for major issues, he was rarely seen at the Hokage Building. That earlier period was due to handling various post-war matters and the influence of some sad emotions he experienced. That's why he was constantly going to the office, to dispel his emotions.
Now that he was fully recovered, he naturally wouldn't spend all day in the office. To be honest, being Hokage was a job with very little freedom. Every word and action had to be proper, with no major mistakes, or the villagers' favorable image would shatter. Every now and then, he had to make a show of his power in public, making the villagers more in awe of the Hokage's strength. And then he had to deal with mountains of administrative work all day long. If it weren't for those puppets, Torifu didn't know how he would complete the Hokage's daily work.
Especially as the village continuously developed and expanded, more and more matters required the Hokage's approval. This was something Hashirama and Tobirama never experienced when they were Hokage. If Tobirama were to take over as Hokage again now, he really might not be able to adapt to the current workload. After all, the years Konoha was under Torifu's leadership were when it experienced high-speed development and rapid progress. Both Tobirama and Hashirama developed the village at a very slow pace. Torifu used electrical appliances to open up business cooperation with other villages, allowing various local products to be sold. The village's economy was getting better and better, and correspondingly, the work only increased.
After Kagami left, Torifu returned to basking in the sun by the door. However, the sun had already begun to set, and he had to move his rocking chair to follow the direction of the sunlight. Yahiko and Konan played for a while, then began training under Minato's supervision. Although today was a holiday, the two of them didn't have time to rest. They were going to school tomorrow, so they had to feel a sense of urgency.
But Torifu was very reassured by Yahiko and Konan. They knew what they wanted and weren't training aimlessly. Only with a goal would they have motivation.
"Train well. I'll take you to Grand-Sensei's house to eat delicious food at noon."
"Yay!"
Upon hearing this, Yahiko immediately closed his eyes and began training. Konan, seeing this, wasn't to be outdone and immediately closed her eyes as well. Minato said he was supervising, but he was actually just sitting beside them playing a game. The volume was low, so it wouldn't affect them.
Torifu occasionally invited Minato to play a round, but Minato was utterly crushed every time. Even though his strength was quite good in Konoha, he still couldn't beat Torifu. Was this the deterrent power of the server owner? Torifu lay on the rocking chair and easily claimed victory. The sunlight spilled onto the silver thread patterns on his clothes, reflecting rays of light.
The weather in the Land of Fire was always so sunny, with few cloudy periods. Even if the Land of Fire had them, Konoha definitely wouldn't. Because if Torifu woke up in the morning and didn't see the sun, he would forcibly separate the clouds in the sky. He wouldn't care even if it cost him a large amount of chakra. This was the secret to why he could always bask in the sun.
After about two or three hours passed, and it was approaching noon, Torifu told Yahiko and Konan to stop training. They sat on Torifu's White Cloud Cushions. Since they hadn't broken a sweat, there was no need to change clothes.
"It's almost time. Let's go now. Do you need to bring anything?"
Yahiko and Konan shook their heads upon hearing this. Their phones were in their pockets; they didn't need to bring anything else.
Since that was the case, Torifu left with them first. By the looks of it, Amado probably wouldn't wake up. He'd make up some excuse for him, or it wouldn't look too good.
"Sensei, is Grand-Sensei's Wife's cooking very delicious?" Konan asked curiously. Sensei had been very happy yesterday when he heard Grand-Sensei's Wife say she would cook a meal for them.
"Of course. I've been eating it since I was little, so naturally, it tastes excellent."
Konan nodded when she heard this. She was also interested in cooking, and perhaps she could ask Grand-Sensei's Wife to teach her later. This was because she had noticed that in all the time they had been living here, no one seemed to cook. Regardless of morning, noon, or night, they always ate out. She thought that if she learned to cook, she could save the family some money. What she didn't realize was that the family had more money than they could spend. However, if Konan brought up this idea, Torifu would be very supportive of her.
"There's also a Senior Apprentice at Grand-Sensei's house, but he's currently out on a mission. And there's a Big Sister too, but I don't know if she'll be home today." There were so many more people to meet. This was a huge shock for the two children who had only recently arrived in Konoha. They had just managed to meet everyone at the gathering last night.
"Understood, Sensei."
The four soon arrived at the Senju Clan Compound. Kushina was playing in the courtyard, all by herself. Ashina seemed to be gone too. When she saw Torifu and Minato arrive, she immediately ran over. "Big Brother Torifu, Minato! And hello to these two younger brother and sister."
"Hello, Big Sister Kushina," Yahiko and Konan said together.
Torifu smiled. "Hello to you too. Where is Elder Ashina? I don't see him."
Kushina spoke with a hint of helplessness. "Big Brother Torifu, you wouldn't believe it. Ever since my grandfather became young again, he's been constantly pestering my great-uncle to teach him to play games. He used to play with me sometimes, but now he's totally addicted to gaming." Kushina wore an expression of resenting her grandfather for not trying harder.
