Torifu sat on the sofa, clutching his hair, having thought through almost every possibility.
But he still couldn't think of a reliable, stable, and permanent way to advance to the Six Paths level.
"This is infuriating! Can this damn system not give me something useful for once!"
Torifu couldn't help but shout a curse. Just as he was about to continue his rant, he suddenly froze, his expression caught between anger and astonishment.
[Ding! Host achieves SSS rating for completing the Chaos Event!!! Reward: Six Paths Yin-Yang Release Power (Upon use, permanently advances to Six Paths level)]
"This... I didn't mishear that, did I?"
Torifu was now seriously doubting whether he wanted to advance to the Six Paths level so much that he was hallucinating.
But when he saw the two profound Yin-Yang energies (Yin-Yang Release) floating in his ring, Torifu immediately froze.
It took him a long time to recover his senses. "Well, I wrongly accused the system. It turns out the biggest reward was for completing the Chaos Event, not for those two missions."
Faced with the opportunity to advance to the Six Paths level, Torifu's heart pounded uncontrollably! This was what he had dreamed of, what he had been searching for for several years.
Now, it was quietly floating in his space ring.
This Six Paths Yin-Yang Release Power looked like two swimming fish, intertwining and moving back and forth.
Just by looking at it, Torifu could feel its immense power. This was definitely the real deal.
The sheer pressure emanating from it made Torifu struggle to breathe.
It was important to remember that his strength was already the closest to the Six Paths level among the ninja in the current ninja world, yet he still felt tiny in the face of true Six Paths power.
This showed just how enormous the gap between the Kage level and the Six Paths level was.
Without a special opportunity or bloodline, an ordinary person would probably never be able to break through that boundary and would never be able to reach the Six Paths level in their lifetime.
But Torifu was no longer among them. As long as he fused with this Six Paths Yin-Yang Release Power, Torifu could directly advance to the Six Paths level! From then on, even if he didn't live forever, his life would not be in danger easily.
After all, even after his physical death, the Sage of Six Paths' soul still strategized throughout the ninja world and could even manage the souls of the deceased in the Pure Land.
This was the might of the Six Paths, whose power could be said to completely transcend this world.
Just as members of the Ōtsutsuki Clan could traverse the universe and freely extract the source energy of other planets to convert into their own Chakra Fruits.
Torifu could finally reach such a state.
"This is great! I've waited for this day for too long. As long as I become Six Paths level, I'll be one step closer to my goal!"
Although he was only one step away from the Six Paths level, Torifu did not let his head get carried away and chose to advance to Six Paths directly in the Center City.
After all, strong ninja from other villages were gathered here.
If they discovered something, there was no guarantee they wouldn't harbor ill intentions. Of the Kage-level strength in Konoha, only Jiraiya and Naori were here.
If a conflict truly occurred while Torifu was absorbing the power, the two of them alone would struggle to protect Torifu.
So, to be safe, he would try to absorb it after returning to Konoha. His own territory was much safer than this place.
After his heart settled down, Torifu was able to look at the two rewards the system had given him earlier.
A map whose destination was unknown, and a Chakra Coagulation Orb.
Torifu didn't yet know how to use them, so he decided to take them out and look.
With a thought, they appeared in Torifu's hand. Torifu first set the map aside and inspected the Chakra Coagulation Orb in his hand.
The item looked like a sapphire gem, and it seemed to have liquid flowing inside.
It would be quite beautiful if used as a decoration, but that was clearly not its real purpose.
"Blaze absorbed this to gain a huge amount of chakra, but I don't know the secret method. This thing is useless to me."
Torifu shook his head helplessly, then picked up the map.
The material seemed to be made of some kind of animal hide and appeared to be quite old.
Although the ink on it was faded, the marked location was still clear.
"This seems to point to a valley? It looks like it's within the Land of Fire."
Torifu was certain that he had never been to this valley, which was strange.
There was a place within the Land of Fire that Torifu had never been to. During missions when he was younger, he had searched almost every corner of the Land of Fire.
How could he have no impression of this valley?
Torifu took out the map of the Land of Fire he had commissioned someone to re-draw a few years ago for comparison.
He found that the new version of the map did not include this valley. "That's odd. Could this map be hundreds of years old? Otherwise, a valley couldn't just vanish into thin air, could it?"
These discoveries made Torifu increasingly curious about the valley marked on the map. He felt that he absolutely had to go there.
Moreover, a voice seemed to be subtly guiding him to this place.
Torifu shook his head to clear his mind. "Alright, alright. I'll go once I get back to the village and stabilize things. A reward from the system can't be something utterly nonsensical."
Torifu thought it might be a treasure map that could lead to the legacy of a great figure from the Warring States period.
Although more wealth was no longer useful to the current Torifu.
But an item from a hundred years ago could certainly be a collectible and was worth a trip.
Torifu carefully put the map away, planning to go explore in a couple of days. As for the Chakra Coagulation Orb, Torifu planned to try and develop a use for it.
If it turned out to be useless, Torifu would toss it to Akihara as a toy.
Just as he finished inspecting all the rewards, Naori returned from her shopping trip, carrying two bags of items.
The bags were packed full of various things.
"Did you rob someone's stall?"
Naori rolled her eyes at Torifu. "What nonsense. I just wanted to bring some souvenirs back for my friends in the village and Master."
"So I bought a few extra things. They're mainly specialties from Sunagakure and Iwagakure. Just for a bit of novelty."
Torifu wanted to say that these things were not rare anymore and buying them was a waste of money, but he didn't dare.
Because Naori's eyes were already locked on him. If he said anything else disagreeable, he would probably be disciplined.
"Mhm, good, that's great. Everyone should be happy."
Sure enough, after he said that, Naori smiled. "I thought so too. Everyone will definitely like the gifts I picked out. I spent a long time carefully selecting them, otherwise I would have returned sooner."
Torifu looked at the heap of colorful items in the bags. Sometimes, he really had to question Naori's aesthetic sense.
