Chapter 321 - Chapter 321: Temporal Disturbance!

Chapter 321: Temporal Disturbance!

The Abyssal Overlord persona was only 8% complete. After temporarily loading this incomplete persona's power, Ye Cheng could use 8% of its abilities.

However, it was important to note that this 8% didn't represent 8% of a full fledged Overlord's power. Since the persona was still incomplete, its strength and abilities were fragmented.

If the Abyssal Overlord persona were 100% complete, then 8% of that power would be an entirely different concept.

If a full Overlord's strength was considered infinite, then even 1% or 8% would still be infinite making no difference at all from 100%.

But since the incomplete Abyssal Overlord lacked true infinite power, the 8% Ye Cheng currently wielded was far weaker than what a true Overlord's 8% would be.

Right now, his capabilities were limited.

For example, merely nudging the flow of time within the Divine Realm Galaxy creating a temporary temporal disturbance was already his limit.

To fully manipulate time at will, he would likely need to reach 100% completion and wield the full power of an Overlord.

After causing a temporary time disruption across the Divine Realm Galaxy, Ye Cheng ceased his interference.

Soon, the universe's self correcting mechanism began restoring the timeline.

However, the memories of the temporal chaos remained ingrained in the minds of all who experienced it.

And that was exactly what he wanted.

After all, without a massive disturbance, Keli's time travel wouldn't be convincing enough.

Only by making everyone witness an unexplainable time anomaly could the concept of time travel be accepted as logical.

As an added touch, Ye Cheng figured why limit the time travel phenomenon to just people?

If objects could also cross through time, wouldn't that make the event feel even more natural?

Having only Keli travel through time would be too simple.

Divine Realm – The Divine Committee

A vast octagonal hall stood at the heart of the Divine Committee's headquarters.

The walls bore no decoration, but were lined with countless glowing panels, each displaying ever shifting visions of various worlds under Divine Realm jurisdiction.

Each panel represented a different planet, realm, or dimension.

This was where the Divine Committee monitored all worlds within their domain.

At the center of the hall was a round table, where five God Kings sat with grim expressions, their eyes locked onto the flickering displays.

"What… just happened?"

The God of Destruction broke the silence. His voice was hoarse and dry.

"The entire universe's time was thrown into chaos…"

The God of Evil spoke with a heavy tone. "Every world under Divine Realm jurisdiction experienced a simultaneous time anomaly."

"It wasn't just mortal realms even we were affected…"

The Goddess of Life looked pale.

"What kind of power could possibly interfere with time on such a scale?"

The God of Asura found it unbelievable. Yet beneath his shock was a deeper emotion fear.

Fear of the unknown.

Of course, they didn't realize that the disturbance was only within their controlled galaxy the rest of the universe was unaffected.

It was far from true universal time control but they didn't know that.

"Perhaps we should summon the God of Time?"

The God of Kindness suggested.

"Agreed."

The other four God Kings exchanged glances and nodded.

Although the Divine Realm had a Time God, he wasn't a God King only a First Class Deity.

That alone made it clear his control over time was limited.

Only an Overlord level being could truly command time itself.

Arrival of the God of Time

A ripple of space time energy distorted the hall, and moments later, a man stepped forward.

His face was ever shifting cycling through youth, adulthood, old age, infancy, then back again, in an endless loop.

A truly bizarre sight.

"You must have sensed the disturbance," the God of Asura spoke first. "Tell us what do you know?"

The other God Kings all stared intensely at the God of Time, eager for an answer.

However, under their pressuring gazes, the God of Time… smiled bitterly.

"I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you all," he sighed.

"I have no idea what just happened."

Stunned Silence

"WHAT?!"

The God Kings' expressions darkened.

"You are the God of Time!"

"How could you not sense anything?"

"Do you not even know where this anomaly originated?"

They refused to believe that the God of Time had no answers.

Yet, the God of Time himself felt helpless.

He may have held the title of "God of Time," but that didn't mean he actually controlled time itself.

At best, he had some temporal abilities but nothing that could compare to what had just occurred.

If he truly had control over time…

Then he would be sitting in a God King's throne, not these five.

Though he was furious internally, he knew better than to anger his superiors.

So, he patiently explained to them

The temporal disturbance they had just witnessed was beyond imagination.

If it had been caused by a person, that individual's power would be unfathomable far beyond their comprehension.

Such a being would be the true "God of Time."

Compared to that entity, he himself was nothing more than a child playing with a sundial.

Even if he tried to investigate, he feared it would invite disaster not just for him, but for the entire Divine Realm.

A Chilling Realization

After hearing his explanation, the five God Kings finally understood.

At first, they had been grasping at straws, thinking that their Time God could offer insight.

But when they truly considered the situation, they realized

Even they had no clue what had just happened.

So how could a mere First Class Deity know more than them?

In the end, his ignorance was reasonable.

If he had known anything… that would have been far more terrifying.
