Cherreads

Chapter 63 - Chapter 13 (part 2)

As when Aikari said that, Hikari wanted to stop him from thinking about something like that. He walked to Aikari and said.

"The path that you walked on might be painful. But get the victory that you and your friends achieve, don't you want to cheer it up?"

When Aikari heard that, he then considered it as his inner voice. So he then said by himself, "Is this even a win? A win where I am alone? I thought the win is what we gain to have fun but this..." Of course, Hikari also have that kind of past. So he understands it. But he still wanted to cheer Aikari up, and he then walked next to Aikari and said.

"That is what life is. This world is where you gain and lose. Not everything will stay by your side. Because everything in this world will keep on walking forward. I believe that everyone has their own tale. Even me, myself."

As when did Aikari think about that, he then began to stand up and say "Won't it be better if I just kill myself at this point?" As Hikari heard that, he then quickly stood before Aikari and said out loud, "YOU DUMB! Did you even think that would give you an answer for everything? what makes you think the reason why they let you live now?" Hearing that. Aikari then just continued to walk on. He said what his inner voice said was true. But for some reason. He couldn't think of anything. All he was thinking now is that everything that he does now is all pointless.

He couldn't think of anything worse than dying. He then began to thought by himself "All those blood on the battlefield. was that all because of me?" Aikari then lost his balance and held to the nearby wall as he was crying.

Hikari, who just saw all of that, couldn't think of the right word to say, and he then just watched Aikari. Hikari feels like he should do something. But he couldn't think of anything.

Aikari continued to walk ahead while he was unsure where to go and what he should do next. Leaving himself all questioning over himself.

Then Hikari's view changed and he passed through several memories and what he saw after that is just about how Aikari enjoyed his own life even though with all that kind of past. He just ignores everything and acts normally.

After that tragedy, all Hikari saw. Aikari was actually still trying to create a world where the war won't happen again. But it was all impossible. Aikari met with a new people, new friends. He tried to find a place where he could find people whom he could call a 'family'. But, while doing so, he realized that there was no such place as a place to be called home.

Everyone who is dear to him, everyone who is close to him has been taken away from him time by time.

When Hikari saw all of that, he had no idea about how hurt Aikari was. But he couldn't do anything. But to bear such hurt, is it a cost to create such peace in this world? Of course, Hikari understands it as he also loses some of his comrades. But ever since he became a True Immortal, he never loses anyone from that.

However, the reality that Aikari lives in, that kind of miracle won't happen. Everything that they do, they need to plan it out precisely. If not, then they will lose everything or die. No magic or miracle could save them. To know that kind of reality that Aikari has been through, Hikari just couldn't imagine how much pain he has been through.

Finally, Hikari walked on the memory of where he saw Aikari face someone who wore a really thick black coat. When Hikari looked at it, that person is not really a person. But it's more like a humanoid. Hikari stood behind Aikari and he then saw that Aikari was wearing a white coat. On that coat somehow have a lot of people's names written on it. Hikari just couldn't believe it and he then saw that the humanoid charged towards Aikari and Aikari dodged and returned the attack back.

That attack from that humanoid left a scar on Aikari's jacket and it then revealed the armor part that Aikari was wearing underneath that. That humanoid was so impressed by it and both of them then continued to fight with each other.

As Hikari was looking at Aikari, he could see that his thoughts were filled with hatred. But he somehow didn't let it overcome him, and he then just continued to fight. So that he could keep on living. So that no one will need to die anymore. Hikari watched over Aikari's fight and he could see how much Aikari had grown than before in a fight. But all he could say is, it was impressive for him as Aikari could just watch the movement and then adapt it easily. He never trained much ever since the last tragedy, but he did fight something on his way there. He must have learned from all of those battles.

As from what Hikari saw, that humanoid could read every move that Aikari makes and that makes his chance to win zero. But Aikari then just kept on fighting and tried to make a new style and somehow was able to land a hit on the humanoid. As soon as the humanoid was unable to focus on his attack pattern, Aikari then quickly began to attack on the humanoid with all of his. Leaving it no chance for the humanoid to take a stance or even counter him. Aikari just keeps on going with all of his strength. His desire to win there, to end everything there was too high. He has been through the betrayal and suffered. All that he wished for is that no one would face the same thing as him, which gives him strength to stand and fight more for his life. For others' sake and for the future that is awaiting all of them.

Hikari could hear the sound of their weapon clashing into each other. Their gun shot and even a punch. But even though with all of that, Aikari is still standing and fighting for his life. Looking at that, Hikari just wondered if the things that Aikari and his comrades wanted to achieve here are as important as what they wanted to achieve before.

In Atrium City, they all gather together and fight against the dark world entities. But in Aikari's world, everything just feels different than what he has seen before. It has more conflict and much worse tragedy than what he has seen before.

It's clearly unfair about the firepower that the enemy has and what the people on Hikari's side have. But even with that kind of gap, they all still keep on fighting and do their best to win.

Their strength alone is not enough to win this battle. But their bonds and spirit are what have bought them this far. But more than that, it was their brilliant strategy that brought them this far. Not the entirety of that plan was coming from Aikari. But Aikari seems to have done a lot of things regarding the plan that people are entrusting him to.

Hikari was thinking of moving on to the other memory, but for some reason, he wanted to see the outcome of that battle. Because it looks important to him. So he then just watched it.

Aikari and the enemy are exchanging blows until Aikari somehow was able to weaken the armor of that humanoid and he then took that chance to grab the nearest weapon and attack it more.

Aikari kept on attacking it until the armor of that humanoid began to rip off and Aikari's weapon broke. Aikari was so shocked by it and at that time, the humanoid quickly kicked Aikari away and returned to his stance.

Aikari managed to hold himself from falling to the ground. Looking at the humanoid, all he needs now is to destroy the core. But unfortunately he was barehanded right now. There's no way he could destroy it barehanded. Aikari then began to look around to search for any object he could use to do so.

But as he saw nothing that could be used there, he saw that the humanoids were charging at him and seeing that, Aikari quickly prepared to brace the attack. He didn't think that fighting it barehand could destroy it. So Aikari began to search for any object he could grab to.

Aikari got pushed away.

"Argh!"

The blood began to come out of his arm and he didn't even realize he had a scratch there. But he didn't even feel hurt at it. Aikari then began to have a thought if this is what it feels like to die. But he didn't want to die yet. At least not until he was able to avenge everyone who had died for him.

Aikari keeps on dodging until his hand grabs onto something.

Aikari looked at it for a while and he saw it was a sharp rod. Maybe it was a part of something that was apart. So Aikari then grabbed it and he dodged the attack from the humanoid, then quickly stabbed the rod in the humanoid's core.

It doesn't go through the core and then the humanoid pushed its body to Aikari and Aikari got moved a bit by it. He continued to hold the rod on his arm and he then began to push the humanoid down to the floor as he thought it might be easier for him to destroy the core. But somehow it was harder than he thought.

Aikari then kept on fighting but when Hikari was watching it all, he could see that Aikari began to weaken down. For some reason, he feels worried. He was thinking that it must be good if he could help Aikari. But he couldn't because he doesn't know how. All he can do is just watch the whole scene before him.

Aikari continued to fight with the humanoid even when he felt like he couldn't feel any damage anymore. He doesn't know why, but it feels like it doesn't matter anymore. But the blood continued to spill on the floor, and yet he kept on fighting. Waiting for a chance that the humanoid might fall to the floor, and he was able to pin it down. Giving him a chance to finish it off.

But as he continued to fight, he didn't even see that kind of chance yet. He saw just how brilliant that humanoid was. But he couldn't just give up because of that.

"SCRATCH!"

"TANG"

They both keep on blowing an attack on each other. But that's until Aikari jumped into the humanoid and lost his balance in his fall. Causing his body to be heavier.

That was when did the humanoid began to hold Aikari up, but he didn't fall yet, as it was holding onto Aikari. Aikari then quickly held up the rod and aimed it right into it's core and just proceeded to stab it while pushing himself further.

With that, the core of that humanoid was destroyed and it fell to the ground. With that, Aikari then fell to the ground and suddenly everything turned black.

When Hikari saw that, he then just began to wonder what was happening to Aikari. But as he went further, he then saw Aikari silhouette in front of him.

Looking at that, it then just makes Hikari wonder if Aikari is dead. But the proof that he and Aikari are there now is clearly a proof that Hikari is alive. So he then began to chase after that silhouette. But all he could see was a bright white space ahead of them. Hikari began to walk normally to investigate.

But on the other side, Aikari, who was exploring the same thing, couldn't even understand what that place is. All he could think of is.

"Is this Quantum Memory? But how and why am I here?"

Aikari kept on walking and he then saw something. He finally saw everyone who was working for the Quantum World once again and what was happening outside there.
