But I believe we should research both at the same time. The former is useful for now, but it will eventually become obsolete. The latter is the true future," Huo Yuhao explained.
His goal was to create something akin to the Soul Spirit Orbs from the third Douluo series.
In the original story, Tang Wulin's first Soul Spirit had come from a Soul Spirit Orb crafted by the Spirit Pagoda.
As for the soul ring storage device, that was Xuan Ziwen's domain. In the original storyline, he was the inventor of that very tool.
Such a device could be extremely valuable in an era where soul beasts were still plentiful like the current time period.
But once soul beast numbers dwindled, and Soul Spirit Orbs became mainstream, the utility of soul ring storage devices would diminish significantly.
After all, to store a soul ring, one first needed a soul beast to kill.
And in the third era of Douluo, most land based soul beasts had already been driven to extinction by soul masters.
