"Sister Wei, look, this is what a wild bird egg looks like!" Jin Xin eagerly opened her hand.
Ji Wei noticed a pale green speckled egg in her palm, larger than a chicken egg.
"Why did you steal a bird egg? Put it back!" Jin Qichuan frowned and lightly reprimanded.
"I just wanted to show it to Sister Wei, I'm not taking it away, hmph!" Jin Xin protested defiantly. "Calling your little sister a thief—how heartless!"
"You're not a child anymore. Stop doing such childish things," Jin Qichuan said with a serious expression.
"Mom says I'll always be her little darling. I think you're just jealous!" Jin Xin fired back, sticking out her tongue provocatively.
Having a sister like this, Jin Qichuan felt a headache brewing.
Jin Xin, feeling triumphant, hummed a little tune as she went back to return the bird egg.
Ji Wei stood to the side, watching the sibling banter, and couldn't help but smile.
Having siblings is truly a blessing.
