A hint of surprise appeared on Nita's face as she saw the photo of an old man from the plant. But on a photo he was much more younger. Surprise were quicly replaced by confusion as news continued to go even futher, digging even deeper into Nita's unknown feeling.
TV - ... It is yet to be discovered the reason of why, this incident occured. Wheather or not this explosion is connected to others explosions throughout Odesa is not known. Martin - Didn't you said that you placed them to a safer places?
In a roadside cafe near the downtown, Martin and Nita took a seat at the corner table. While they were waiting, both of them were looking at a TV screen nearby.
Nita - I did...Martin - Bloody hell... What happened there?
Waitress - Here's your order!
Like out of nowhere, a soft lady in apron appeared, placed a plate with sandwiches in front of Martin and a cup of tea. Then that waitress turned around to look at the news too.
Waitress - That old man... Some of these people, I swear, they are worst of the worst!
Martin - What do you mean?
Waitress - What I mean is... It is a romantic that someone is willing to follow their loved ones even in death. But why would you take others with you? That is a disgusting!
Martin - Well... Lady, the police barely started investigation! It is to early to judge someone...
Waitress - It's been four days! My father works at the police, and he said, that such cases get the most information in first seventy two hours, and the rest is just work with details.
Martin - Oh... Well... Maybe you right. | Waitress - Well then, would you like anything else?
Martin - That would be it for now. And here, a little bonus for the insight!
A small piece of paper were handed to the waitress, who gave Martin a little show, by putting that piece of money into back poket on her uniform and walking away swaying her hips.
Martin - At least everyone is letting us off the hook.Nita - Yeah... *sigh*
Wiping his hands with a napkin, Martin admired sandwitch in front of him for a moment, before finaly taking a bite. With satisfied face, he noded once and took another bite.
Nita - Do you think I am a monster?
Sudden question caught Martin off guard. He stopped chewing for a moment, then took a sip of tea and gulped down whatever was left. But the answer didn't come outright. Martin satered at the plate with sandwitches.
Martin - Don't think too much about that Nita. Stuff like that... It just happens. You didn't want to... well... I mean... you tried, right? But it's the way it is... *Sigh* no, I'm not good at this.
Nita - No... It's ok... I get it... | Martin - Bottom line is, you are not a monster, Nita!
Awkward silence followed. Martin wanted say something else, but didn't found any words to say anything. So he continued to stare at the sandwitches in front of him.
Martin - Yeah. I better leave that to Kilmure. He is much more better at that...
Duval - How does the young members of elite team doing out there?
Sudden voice disturbed any and every thought process that Nita and Martin had. Martin instantly looked up, and saw Duval coming closer, while taking off his coat. Without any word, Martin moved himself a bit closer to a window, letting Duval sit down on a spot where Martin were a moment ago.
Martin - Oh, Uncle! I am doing fine. But I thought that...
Duval - Yeah, unfortunatly your big brother is rather busy, so I wanted to visit you two. Besides, I haven't seen you for a long time! And I have a business with your doll over here.
Martin - Oh. That's fine I guess... Wait... Doll?
In confusion, Martin looked at Nita, who were sitting at the other side of a table.
Duval - Yes. Immagine my surprise when I found out that someone were walking and asking around about all kind of things. Who is this Maria, who you trying to find out?
Nita - Uh... I was just... Just trying to find out who she was? Even I don't really know anything about her. She used to be someone who cared for me... Maybe even created me... I wanted to know...
While this wasn't a confrontation, Nita felt terrible. She would have preffered to fight ELIDs bare handed, rather than feel herself like that ever again. And Dival wasn't doing anything, just talking with a nonchalant voice and smiling with his usual inviting smile. For some reason, Nita felt scared.
Duval - Oh. Well, I guess we all tend to try and pry into our own past from time to time. But now I got intrested in a whole story, and more importantly, how did it come to the point that you are running around and using both mine and... Big brother's list of friends?
For a moment, Martin was confused. But once he looked at Nita, he understood the situation.
Martin - Where did you get money from?
Nita - Ki... Big brother pay's me a small cut for every job. Last few jobs had a nice profit...
Duval - Quick at catching up... I like that! So, tell me, what did you found out?
Nita - I... This is kind of a personal matter.Duval - You don't say? Thought I came here for fun?
Soft smile were replaced by an playfull one on Duval's face. Then he raised his hand!
Duval - Cup of coffee please!Waitress - One minute please!
It wasn't even apperent, but once again, Duval had that soft smile and his gaze fixed on Nita.
Duval - Unfortunatly for you, 'not so little' doll. I came here a little more prepeared than you thought. Since you used my list of friends, and I still don't understand how did you found out about that, I was caught in by surprise, when I was the one who recieved the answer on a question I didn't asked. And even more, I was warned to stay away from this, because 'your friends' are still looking for someone tied to your 'Maria'.
Nita - I get it. I won't do that again.Martin - Nita...
Duval - I'm not saying that you shouldn't be doing that. But if you are going to do something like this, at the very least, warn us about that. Or something like this, could have ended up in dire state!
Martin - I never knew that Kil... Big bro arranged a cut for a dolls in his shift.
Duval - What can I say? Always found him strange, he is an doll lover. Never get why though...
An Waitress came around with a cup of coffee, placing it in front of Duval. Without even paying any attention to waitress, Duval pulled out some money and handed it to waitress. Meanwhile, Martin returned to eating his sandwiches

Taking a sip from a cup, Duval looked around for a moment. There wasn't many visitors in this cafe so early in the morning, but the few that were, sat far away. And most of the noise in this comfy cafe was from the kitchen and from the multiple TV installed around the cafe.
Duval - As I said, I recieved the answers for your requests. Here they are.
A file with few pages and photos dropped on a table. Nita slowly grabbed it and opened it. What awaited her was both disturbing and saddening. This was 'her' Maria, but from the begining, it didn't sounded like the preson she remembered. First few lines of words on a very first page started with a Maria's photo and her full name. A name that she never really knew.

Born in a family with wealth slightly below average. She had two sisters and a brother, being the youngest among everyone else, she had to be cared by only by a father. Her mother left the family slightly after her birth.
It was noted that father was war veteran and an acoholic, but records shows that nobody from his family beside a oldest son (Yura) even knew about that, to which he left to take care for family most of the time, since most of the time father were busy taking all kinds of construction jobs. Due to that, their family managed to get enough money to sustain themselves and even save some.
After that happened Frankfurt incident, Maria's whole family besides the oldest brother were wiped out. Father took children who felt sick to visit a hospital. Maria and Yura were not present, and Maria fell into a hard depression, while her brother dropped colledge and took a job at car workshop, which gave him opportunity to pay rent and for Maria's education.
It is unknown at what moment, but at some point Yura got addicted to drugs and then started buying and reseling cheap drugs to his friends, even making a small profit.
This would continue until Maria graduated from school of ■■■■■■■ in ■■■■ of 20■■
Then proceeded to apply to university of ■■■■■. Where she would become a top student.
Somewhere around that time, Yura were caught selling high ammount of drugs and sentenced to a prison time. He was moved to ■■■■ prison where he is currently serving his sentence untill a may of 2078. Maria were caught in shock by such event, Maria would then change her surname from "Vaselisa" to "Valder" and would go even deeper into a studies. The money that were made by selling drugs ended up in Maria's hands, but ultimatly, she would give away those money to an orphanage as 'anonymous donation'
After graduating Maria would join the ■■■■■ and climb her way up to a position of leading scientist. Her hands went through a projects [DELETED] and ■■■■■■ as well as ■■■■ and ■■■■■■■■■. Some parts of these projects are still active and in duty.
The sudden success of ■■■■■ company caught URNC eye, and after few months, the company were entirely bought out by URNC and went through many changes. Once Directors Committee was changed, Maria used the opportunity and managed to get approval on her own project known as [DELETED], under condition that this project would be her seccondary objective. Aftrer all, URNC had diffrent approach to a opened possibilities.
While managing multiple projects, Maria managed to slowly work on [DELETED], even though this project wasn't really all that successful. Project [DELETED] was deemed to be a failiure, to the point that the whole lab responsible for project [DELETED] was moved out and then set at the outskirts. Directors though that since the time it takes to travel between main lab and lab of project [DELETED] is quite high, at some point Maria would loose her intrest in that project, but that didn't stopped her.

Hands shaking. Mind numb. What did she just read? Who is this? This doesn't sound like Maria at all. But even then did she realy knew Maria? Nita closed the file and kept staring at it.
Duval - Puting two and two together... You are an unique doll, lost in unique group.

Duval - Of course I did? How could I miss out on information at our age?
Another sip of coffee. Duval looked at Nita, as if trying to understand a behaviour of an animal. Martin kept taking a bite after a bite of his sandwiches, his tea was long gone by now. And only Nita was barely moving.
Nita - Girard group... Not the first time I hear that. Who are they?
Duval - Someone who are good at business... Wait... Don't tell me you are going to approach them in attempt to... *HeH* I guess that's why big brother likes you. But that has to wait. First, we finish the job, and only then you are free to roam around and ask about. Do you understand that?
Nita - I... *sigh* yes, I understand.
Duval - Good! I don't wanna ask around about that once again. And since I am here, Nita! I need you to follow me around for a next few days.
Nita - Why?Duval - Would you look at that! She even asks back. I feel like your brother spoiled you and other dolls too. I like you Nita, but you should be carefull. There is a thin line between bravery and arrogance. Bravery will get you far, but arrogance would stop you fast! Do you get what I mean?
Nita - I do.Duval - Neat.
Satisfied, Duval raised his cup, drinking nearly full cup of coffee in one go. Once it was empty, he carefuly placed the cup at the middle of a table, stood up and looked around once again.
Duval - I will give Martin a call when and where you will be needed. And on that note, have a nice day my friends. There is a hard week in front of us.
Saying so, Duval put on his coat and headed outside. And Martin finaly managed to finish his sandwiches and wiped his hands with a napkin. Once he was done, the two of them continued to sit in silence, not realy knowing what else to say.
