The Keeper remained seated upon the dark throne, his hidden face still concealed beneath the heavy veil of shadow that had followed him since his escape from the Underworld, while Ken and the other usurpers stood before him in silence, waiting for whatever command their master would give.
The atmosphere inside the chamber had changed completely. What had once been a place where plans were whispered from behind closed doors now felt like the final room before a storm, because the Keeper could sense that the balance of the world had shifted.
