Chapter 58 - ☆Chapter 58: He Fell First, But She Fell Harder☆

---

"Peace Looks Good on You."

The first thing Seraphina noticed when she woke up was the warmth.

The second thing was Enzo.

---

He was still asleep, his breathing soft and steady. His dark lashes rested gently against his cheeks, and his lips were slightly parted.

Relaxed. Vulnerable.

A rare sight.

---

Enzo De Luca.

The embodiment of strength, discipline, and loyalty.

Yet here he was—completely at ease, beside her.

---

Seraphina stayed still, her head propped up by her arm as she watched him.

Her fingers gently brushed against his hair, now slightly tousled from sleep.

---

"You look… beautiful."

Her voice was barely above a whisper, but it didn't matter.

Enzo was still asleep.

---

Seraphina bit her lip, her heart doing that annoying flutter again.

---

Damn it.

She had fallen—hard.

---

Enzo fell first.

That was obvious.

The way he looked at her since they were kids…

The way he stood by her side, protected her, even when it hurt him.

He loved her long before she even realized.

---

But now…

Now, it was different.

---

Seraphina wasn't just falling.

---

She had already fallen.

---

And there was no getting up.

---

---

---

"Why Do You Have to Look Like That Even When You're Asleep?"

Her voice was soft, laced with affection she didn't even bother hiding anymore.

---

She traced a finger along his jaw, her touch featherlight.

"Unfair."

---

Her gaze drifted to his lips, her mind wandering for a split second before she caught herself.

---

Focus, Sera.

---

But it was impossible.

---

Because Enzo was too damn close.

And he was too damn perfect.

---

---

---

"I Love You."

The words left her lips before she could stop them.

But she didn't regret it.

Because it was the truth.

---

A truth she had been running from.

---

But not anymore.

---

Seraphina exhaled slowly, a small smile tugging at her lips.

"I love you so much, Enzo."

---

---

---

"You Could Say That Again."

---

Seraphina's heart stopped.

---

Her eyes widened as she froze.

---

Oh no.

---

Slowly—very slowly—her gaze shifted back to Enzo's face.

---

He was awake.

---

And he was smiling.

---

"How long… have you been awake?"

---

"Long enough."

---

Damn it.

---

---

---

"You're Awake and You Didn't Say Anything?"

Seraphina's tone was half-mortified, half-annoyed.

---

Enzo chuckled softly, his eyes still closed, but the corners of his lips curled up.

---

"Why would I?"

---

"Enzo…"

---

He opened one eye, and Seraphina immediately wished he hadn't.

Because that look—

---

Soft. Loving. Devastatingly intense.

---

"Because I like hearing you say it."**

---

Seraphina felt her face heat up.

"Shut up."

---

"Hmm." Enzo's smile grew wider, his hand reaching up to tuck a stray lock of her hair behind her ear.

"Make me."

---

Seraphina blinked.

"Enzo."

---

"Yes, Sera?"

---

"I will actually smother you with a pillow."

---

---

---

"You're Welcome to Try."

---

---

---

Her heart skipped a beat.

---

---

---

"Enzo."

---

He leaned in, brushing his lips lightly against her forehead.

"I love you too, you know."

---

Seraphina's breath caught in her throat.

---

"I always have."

---

---

---

"I Know."

Her voice was barely above a whisper, her lips curving into a smile.

---

Because she did know.

---

She just took too long to admit it.

---

---

---

"But You Fell First."

Seraphina teased softly, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

---

Enzo's smile was gentle but undeniably smug.

"Yeah."

---

"But You Fell Harder."

---

Seraphina couldn't even argue.

Because he was absolutely right.

---

And she wouldn't have it any other way.
