Ren gripped the wheel tightly. Rain hammered the windshield, blurring the cliffside road. Choen's wrist pulsed faintly — the charm imprint glowing.
Mathew in the back whispered, "Almost there… stay sharp."
Sunwoo nodded, eyes scanning the storm.
Ahead, the Lighthouse at Sea Cliff loomed, faint and mysterious. Choen's jaw tightened. Every second counted.
Scene Shift – Seoul National University
The university was chaos. Broken chairs, shattered glass, and debris covered the floor. Shadows twisted along walls. Clicking and scraping noises came from everywhere.
"Over here!" Choen's brother shouted, grabbing Ari's arm. A spider-like creature lunged from the wall.
Ari swung a metal rod, cracking it mid-leap. "I've got this side!"
Another spider dropped from the ceiling. Choen's brother swung a pipe, smashing it against the wall. "Keep moving!"
"Too many…" Ari gasped, ducking under another leaping creature. "We need to find the stairwell!"
They ran. Around the corner, classmates appeared with broken chairs, fire extinguishers, and anything they could grab. The creatures advanced, clicking, crawling, leaping.
A spider leapt at Ari. She rolled and slammed her rod into its head. "Not today!"
Choen's brother swung, crushing another creature. "Watch your left!"
The hallway reeked of iron and decay. Every step was deadly. Cries echoed from other rooms as students fought for survival.
"Behind you!" Ari yelled, kicking a spider climbing the wall.
"Got it!" he replied, smashing it with a chair.
They moved fast, coordinated instinctively. Emergency lights flickered red and white, casting shadows that twisted like living things.
Another spider dropped from the ceiling. Ari ducked and swung her rod. "Take that!"
Choen's brother slammed a fire extinguisher onto one, spraying foam and broken exoskeleton across the floor.
They reached the wide staircase. "Go! Up!" he shouted, grabbing Ari's hand.
At the top, they paused for a heartbeat. The hall below was littered with destroyed creatures and debris. Breaths ragged, adrenaline pumping, hearts racing.
Ari looked down the staircase, pale but determined. "This… isn't over."
"No," he said, tightening his grip on the rod. "It's far from over."
Far away, the Lighthouse waited. The storm outside raged. The spider terror had already spread — cruel, relentless, and very much alive.
