Chapter 38 - Chapter 37 — A Knight.

Hours later, Scathach stirred from her brief nap, the cool ground beneath her a stark contrast to the warmth of Sirzechs's body beside her.

She stretched languidly, feeling the pleasant ache in her muscles from their vigorous activities. A sly smile played on her lips as she watched him sleep, his chest rising and falling steadily.

Deciding he'd rested long enough in the grass filled ground, she leaned over and gently bit his shoulder. "Wake up," she whispered, her voice husky with renewed desire. "Let's go to my castle and rest."

After some time, Sirzechs and Scathach awoke with refreshed expressions on their faces. Scathach, in particular, seemed radiant, a satisfied smile lingering on her lips. Her crimson eyes glowed brightly, filled with renewed vigor.

They shared a shower before spending another half hour relaxing together in the bathtub. This time, however, they refrained from any further intimacy. Both were already thoroughly satisfied, and more importantly, they had an important matter to attend to.

Since Scathach would be accompanying him from now on, they would have plenty of opportunities in the future to enjoy each other's company.

After leaving the bathroom, Scathach stood before Sirzechs, completely naked and unashamed, ready to receive an Evil Piece and be reincarnated as a Devil.

Sirzechs carefully drew the intricate magic circle required for the reincarnation ritual. The piece he had chosen for her was the Knight Piece, as it suited her abilities and nature the best. Had his Queen Piece not already been used, he would have chosen that instead.

The crimson Knight Piece floated toward Scathach and merged into her chest. Instantly, the magic circle expanded, bathing her body in a brilliant crimson-red glow. She curled slightly as her feet left the ground, levitating several feet into the air with her eyes closed.

Moments later, a pair of Devil wings emerged from her back.

Her eyes snapped open, glowing a vivid scarlet as immense demonic power surged from her body. The sheer force of the energy caused the room to tremble under its pressure. Having only just transformed into a Devil, her control over her newfound power was not yet perfect.

However, that lack of control lasted only for a moment.

Drawing upon centuries of experience and mastery, Scathach swiftly reined in the overflowing demonic energy, expertly suppressing it and pulling it back into her body. Within seconds, the overwhelming pressure vanished, leaving behind only the unmistakable aura of a newly reborn Devil.

Though little of her essence was visible, she still commanded the presence of a war goddess. She appeared stunning and exquisitely beautiful, yet undeniably provocative.

Her purple cascaded like liquid fire down her bare back, contrasting with the pale perfection of her skin.

Each curve of her body was sculpted as if by divine hands, yet it was the defiant glint in her red eyes that truly captured her warrior spirit.

Despite her attempt to project dignity and regality, the effect was undermined by her completely naked body, exposed for any observer to gaze upon and savor.

Her shoulders were squared back in an effort at composure, but the way her breasts rose and fell with each breath betrayed the vulnerability beneath her warrior facade.

The soft light filtering through the chamber windows traced the contours of her form, highlighting the slight tremor in her thighs as she stood before him.

For one particular individual, this image of Scathach—her regal expression contrasting with her unclothed form—became permanently etched in his memory, serving as perfect material for his private fantasies.

He found himself mesmerized by the dichotomy before him: the legendary teacher of warriors reduced to her most primal state, yet somehow more powerful than ever.

The image would replay in his mind during the darkest hours, fueling desires he dared not speak aloud.

Fortunately for him, there was no need for such fantasies, as the woman herself was prepared to bend over and present her shapely, firm backside, offering herself for his pleasure whenever he desired.

With a slight shift of her weight, she turned slowly, allowing him to appreciate every angle of her perfect form.

Scathach gazed at Sirzechs and found him looking back at her with a mesmerized expression.

The admiration in his eyes made her feel unexpectedly giddy. A small smile formed on her lips as she practically floated toward him, a light spring in her step.

Standing on her tiptoes, she wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed a gentle, affectionate kiss against his lips.

After that, they simply remained in each other's embrace, enjoying the quiet comfort of one another's presence.

They spent the next while cuddling and talking about mundane things. For the most part, Sirzechs did the talking, asking her questions about her past experiences and various subjects that piqued his curiosity.

During their conversation, he mentioned that his daughter had recently developed an interest in rune magic and wondered whether Scathach would be willing to teach her. To his delight, she readily agreed.

Since she would be staying with him from now on, she intended to make a genuine effort to get along with his family.

While she had never been particularly concerned with social niceties in the past, things were different now.

Sirzechs was the one who had brought her into his household and offered her a place by his side.

The last thing she wanted was to create unnecessary tension or place him in an awkward position before his family.

As a member of his peerage, her actions would inevitably reflect upon him.

The thought of causing him embarrassment through her own behavior left a sour taste in her mouth.

For that reason, she resolved to do her best to maintain a good relationship with those closest to him.

It was a small effort to make for the man who had given her a new beginning.

After making the necessary preparations, Scathach gathered the few belongings she considered important and stored them within a ring engraved with spatial runes.

The ring was one of her own creations. Through her mastery of runic magic, she had successfully developed a spatial storage artifact capable of holding a considerable number of items. Sirzechs was capable of creating similar treasures himself and had long since provided spatial rings to his family for their convenience.

With everything ready, the two prepared to depart.

Sirzechs drew a teleportation circle that would take them directly to the Gremory Estate. As the current Lucifer, he had delegated most of his administrative responsibilities to the competent officials of the Underworld rather than personally wasting countless hours buried beneath mountains of paperwork.

While he occasionally handled such duties himself when the mood struck him, he generally reserved his direct involvement for matters of great importance—issues that affected the entirety of the Underworld.

The teleportation circle began to glow with crimson light as magical energy flowed through its intricate patterns.

A moment later, it activated.

The space around them distorted, and their figures vanished from the Realm of Shadows.

Together, they departed toward the Underworld, where a new chapter of Scathach's life awaited her—a future alongside the Gremory Family and the Devil King Lucifer himself.
