"Sister Zi Mi, don't feel sad over the past anymore. After everything you've endured, sweetness has finally followed the bitterness. We know all about your past, and from now on, sorrow will stay far away—because happiness is right in front of you," Enis consoled her.
"Thank you for your concern, Sister Enis~" Zi Mi wiped away her tear traces with a beaming smile.
"Alright. Tomorrow, whether it's the Guangyue Star of the past or the present, let's go check out both. Only by daring to face the past can we walk toward a new future," I decided with a smile.
The next morning, we woke up, washed up, and had breakfast as usual. Once everything was ready, we teleported to the Guangyue Star of several hundred years ago. "We've arrived, everyone." We entered the capital of Guangyue Star in an invisible state.
"This place really brings back memories," I sighed, looking around.
"Back when you were going through your trial, Hubby, we kept a close eye on you from the Realm of Gods, you know," Suōshā said with a gentle smile. Hearing that, I thought, Good grief, so they really were monitoring me all along. Fortunately, I hadn't done anything out of line during those two years, and I couldn't help but break into a silent cold sweat.
"Oh well, let's go to the government hall and see Kuiyi at this point in time," I greeted everyone to set off.
The whole family flew over the capital's government hall. The massive, spired building below was once Zi Mi's workplace. "Go meet the you of the past," I led the family down with a smile. Because of our invisibility, we moved around as if no one were there. Along the way, we saw some girls who used to work in the same building; they were all busy coming and going, so we silently passed by them without disturbing anyone.
We passed through the Queen's door and entered the office. Sure enough, we saw Kuiyi sitting upright at the desk reviewing documents, while Luoya beside her was organizing miscellaneous items. Looking at her former self, Zi Mi's eyes were filled with emotion and nostalgia. "Do you want to reveal yourself and say hello?" I asked her.
Zi Mi shook her head slightly. "No need. It's enough just to have seen her. Let's go."
Respecting her decision, I was naturally about to leave when—
"I want to play with that sphere too!" Off to the side, Sumei, Ximei, and Dimei began squabbling over a nearby planetarium globe.
"Hmm? Who's in the room?!" The noise alerted Kuiyi.
Damn it, these kids are useless at everything except ruining plans!
"Nobody, you misheard~" I blurted out with an utter lapse of judgment.
"Hubby, honestly..." Suōshā shook her head repeatedly.
"This voice?! Is that Mr. Bai?! Are you here?!" Kuiyi instantly recognized my voice.
"Looks like we have no choice but to reveal ourselves now, Hubby," Enis chuckled helplessly.
"It's all my fault for having a brain fart..."
We had no choice but to deactivate our invisibility and appear before Kuiyi's eyes.
"It really is... Mr. Bai~" She threw down her documents in excitement and ran forward.
"It's Mr. Bai!" Luoya exclaimed in shock as well.
Disregarding the setting, she rushed up, wanting to hug me, only to notice her future self standing right beside me. "You are... me?" Kuiyi looked at her in astonishment.
"Mhm, that's right. Hello, former me," Zi Mi greeted her placidly.
"Sorry, we're from the future. We came to secretly visit Guangyue Star today, but the kids ended up ruining things, haha," I explained helplessly.
"It seems the future me can still accompany Mr. Bai~" Kuiyi looked at Zi Mi and smiled at me.
"Alright, since you've already seen us, we won't interrupt your work any further. Let's head out first," I prepared to lead the group away.
"Wait! Are you just going to abandon me like this?"
"Hmm? Is there something else you haven't said?" I asked, confused.
"Luoya, cancel all my appointments for today." With that, Kuiyi put on her coat with a smile, intending to step out with us.
"Queen, what about...?" Luoya was completely bewildered.
"Hee-hee, I'm going out to play for a bit, so I'll leave things here to you!" After saying that, she pulled my hand and crossed through the doorway.
"Sigh, things are getting more and more complicated," Suōshā shook her head helplessly.
Our group had no choice but to accept Kuiyi as our tour guide and explore the sights of the capital. Not only were Enis and Suōshā displeased on the side, but even Zi Mi, her future self, was frowning. I was somewhat helpless against this behavior of being jealous of oneself.
Having finally endured until nightfall, we shared a meal together on Guangyue Star and prepared to return. "Thank you for taking the time to accompany us today. Let's see each other again in a few hundred years. Take care, Kuiyi," I held her hand and said.
"Mhm, I was so pleasantly surprised that Mr. Bai could come see me today. I hope the next meeting won't take too long~"
"Goodbye, past me. Although you'll cause some trouble in the future, perhaps that will be your ticket to meeting Hubby again," Zi Mi hugged her and said.
"Hubby? You mean...?!" Hearing that word, Kuiyi's eyes flickered with anticipation. "I will wait for you with full expectation~" Kuiyi turned her head and smiled at me.
"Alright. By the way, now that you've entered the realm of immortality, you need to prepare a successor going forward. Otherwise, you'll eventually be discovered one day," I replied earnestly.

And so, catching the night wind, we took our leave from the Kuiyi and Guangyue Star of the past, flying toward the future.
