Chapter 28 - Picky Breakfast

The sound of my soft alarm creeps into my ears. My body's been conditioned to wake up to this despite how groggy I am. At least it isn't grating or abrasive... New scents also help my brain wake up; this isn't my room. It feels feminine; this sweet scent is bright and faintly sweet. Mine is bolder and mintier to jolt my brain awake as fast as possible without straining it.

Regardless, it does its job, leading me to rise and look for the nearest blinds to let some sun in. Scanning the room, I don't find blinds; I find curtains. Parting it gives me more than just the warm sizzle of the sun on my chest; it also gives me a two-section glass door into a small veranda.

Pushing the locking knob up, I indulge in nature as warm air greets me first thing out of the small, two-person-sized space. The railings aren't as hot as I expected, which is welcome. A bunch of small potted plants and hanging racks decorate each side, not leaving the space completely barren.

Fresh nature and sea seep into my skin and nostrils. The idea of building a house in this type of location is getting better and better. I twist my torso and put my hands above my head, stretching my sides. Gripping the wooden tiling with my bare feet, I'd take a split and slowly loosen my joints with circular motions and gentle force.

Back then, I didn't think this would help with mood circulation, but now that I've settled into the routine, I'd feel like an old man if I stopped doing this for more than a few days. The relief and looseness first thing in the morning, soaking in the sun and nature, is pretty unbeatable.

Since I don't have my weights, bodyweight training it is. It's a little cramped, but I can do tucked planche and handstand pushups. Pistol and dragon squats go next. Planks are last to get my abs activated...

Fifteen minutes later, I've worked up a sweat. After a quick rinse in the shower, I'd put on my usual home cologne with a lingering scent, put on a shirt and some shorts, before exiting my room.

The hallway is empty, but I can hear faint shuffling across doors. I go downstairs and help myself to cold water before looking around for Lorette's room. Opposite the living room, away from the main door and kitchen, is a hallway with about three doors, one at the end.

I approach the dark brown door and smell floral incense leaking out. Shivers travel across my skin again. As much as I want to, I would prefer not to have sex this early in the morning after yesterday. A calmer day would be preferred.

I tentatively knock on the door, which is replied to with a click. The door opens with a small crack.

"Good morning, handsome." Lorette's silky voice is like satin sheets against my ears. My lungs feel tied to piano strings.

"Morning, Lorette. You said you wanted me here?" I say as my eyes freely explore what is given to me. Within my limited vision, Lorette's form is shrouded by a see-through nightrobe. Her breasts are as obscene as ever, but cleavage is all I see, alongside a tasteful peek at her chubby stomach.

"Mmm. Could you be a darling and cook us something? Any ingredients you need should be either in the fridge or the cupboards, just look for them." She'd open the door further, giving me a glimpse of everything. Her wavy caramel hair is down, and her body exudes such a strong, citrusy scent that keeps me from doing anything.

I bet I'm gawking like a horny idiot now.

"Thanks for the compliment, baby, but we'll talk about that later." Lorette giggles, tipping my chin up with a finger to look at her in the face. Her sharp eyes pierce across my skin, shortening my breath even further.

"Y-yeah. Is anyone allergic to anything?" I ask, feeling heat primarily rush to my face, trying hard to look her in the eyes, but her cleavage keeps staring at me.

"I'm a vegetarian, Yulia can't handle spicy foods, and Sky's pescatarian. Natasha eats almost everything as long as it's presented well." She'd list out with her fingers.

What a diverse cast. I'll have to make something that's filling too. Tofu comes to mind. A mapo tofu curry? It fits everything. I can add egg dishes as well.

"Can you do that for me, baby?" She'd ask again, booping me on the nose.

"Oh, yeah, sorry. I'll figure something out. Leave it to me." I give her a thumbs up, only to get pulled into a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek- the pressure of her breasts and the silky nightrobe spike my temperature to fire.

"Mmm. Good boy. You'll get a reward from me personally later." It's all Lorette says before closing the door behind her, leaving me in the hallway.

What a woman.

After standing there in a daze for a few minutes, I snap out of it and make my way back to the kitchen. Mapo tofu curry over some steaming hot rice is the play. I'd prep the tofu, chop what I need, and consult an online recipe for something on the milder, sweeter side.

I get into a trance in the middle of cooking, moving around the kitchen like the bachelor that I am, who treats himself to homemade cooked food because of healthy habits. By the end, I'm stirring the pot, then turn back to grab a serving bowl from the island, only to see all four women in morning outfits staring at me in the black apron I saw on a nearby rack.

"...good morning."

Sky looks away, her cheeks a little red. Lorette, Yulia, and Natasha all smile at me with such gazes of what I can only assume is judgment.

"Awww, there's no KISS THE CHEF print on your apron, ah well..." Yulia sighs dramatically, looking away from me as we lock eyes. Cheeky lady. Her cloudy blue pajamas with... cloud designs suit her very cutely.

"The food smells amaziiiiing!" Natasha wipes her lips with a kitchen towel, trying to appear ladylike as her ill-fitting tank top shows an indecent amount of cleavage. I'd say that's its own delectable meal.

"It looks pretty red... You sure Yulia can handle that spice?" Sky crosses her arms with a neutral yet soft glare- a confusing expression to parse.

Lorette looks at me with a face that says, "Good job."

"So, what did you make?" Natasha claps her hands, her baby-blue eyes sparkling as drool tries to escape from the corners of her mouth.

"Mapo tofu curry." As those words leave my mouth, all four express even more interest. "I made the spices mild, and the red is from saffron. It's on the sweeter side since I like oriental cuisine."

Yulia's eyes start shining.

"I made it out of mapo tofu since vegetarians and pescatarians can appreciate it without feeling guilty."

Lorette cocks an eyebrow while Sky perks up.

"And I made rice along with it since it pairs well with a blank canvas."

And finally, Natasha stood up, her heavy breasts bouncing so high that a flop resounded from beneath her shirt. Oh...

"Ahhh!" She sits back down, covering her underboobs.

Her shirt is a crop top, and she did not have a bra. Everything peaked out from the bottom.

"This early, Nat?" Lorette sets her own pair on the table to rest, framed by her elbows.

"Look, I forgot Jonathan's here- I wear nothing underneath during mornings, okay?" She wipes tears out of embarrassment.

As they banter, I put the giant multi-purpose rice cooker at the center of the table, then set deep plate bowls for everyone to serve themselves. Beside it is a giant dish containing one-fourth of the curry I made in a deep stew pot.

"I've made sure it's filling, fragrant, and satisfying." Which is my last guarantee, as I pour that sweet, deep-brown, and red sauce on the initial helpings of rice they took. I can practically hear their stomachs growling as they started eating almost immediately.

The sauce glistens with a salivating sheen against that steaming hot rice.

"Eat well," I say as I pour some over my own serving. Admittedly, my tower of rice is bigger, and as an avid chopstick user, I delicately shove rice and saucy tofu into my mouth, enjoying noisy but peaceful company amongst gorgeous and good-natured women.
