For Jeff, Ryuji's actions were nothing short of a nightmare. The poisons and magic he relied on for survival were utterly useless against Ryuji. Moreover, Ryuji's greatsword sliced through their bodies as if it were a beam of light.
Screams of fear and agony continuously erupted from his mouth. Watching Ryuji effortlessly slaughter all his followers amplified this terror to an extreme degree.
He didn't want to die. He absolutely did not want to die. Even now, limbless, he clung to life. So, while a part of him seethed with the desire to make Ryuji pay, to make him watch his women wail beneath Jeff, his mouth very honestly begged for mercy.
"Please! My lord, forgive me! I was wrong! I shouldn't have oppressed the commoners like that! Please spare me! I beg you!"
As long as I live, there are endless possibilities!I still have money, I can still find mages to heal me!
Jeff endured the pain and kept begging for mercy, but Ryuji's expression remained indifferent.
"I don't want to hear any more nonsense."
The steel wires gleamed faintly in his hand. The next moment, Jeff's body was easily entangled by Ryuji's wires. The wires, anchored firmly in the air, sank effortlessly into Jeff's flesh, drawing thin rivulets of blood as Ryuji spoke again.
"Is there a mercenary group called Black Dog Mercenary in this world?"
Although he had already confirmed the existence of the Seven Shields Alliance, Ryuji still wanted to confirm this.
"Yes! Yes, My lord! Aahhh... My lord!, could you please stop the bleeding? I feel..." Jeff responded with a scream but he couldn't help asking for treatment.
Ryuji didn't respond. He simply slowly lowered his titanium-alloy greatsword. The steel wires wrapped around Jeff immediately tightened, pressing into the man's body and continuously sinking deeper into his flesh.
Jeff could clearly feel these wires slowly penetrating his flesh, and then...
He felt unparalleled pain.
The moment the first piece of skin was cut open by the steel wires released by Ryuji, his flesh seemed to bloom like a flower, instantly bursting open and splattering countless droplets of blood.
"AAAAHHHH!!!"
Intense pain instantly swept through his entire body. He could feel the steel wires wrapped around him madly advancing into the depths of his body, sliding under his skin, scraping against his ribs!
Even parts of his bones were being shaved off!
Ryuji noticed this and quickly activated his gauntlet, violently retracting the wires from the man's body. They came out bringing a shower of blood and shredded flesh. Simultaneously, Ryuji tossed a ball of dragon fire onto him.
"Apologies. It's my first time doing something like this, so I'm a bit unfamiliar. But it can't be helped. Who told you to keep saying things I didn't want to hear?"
His tone was quite cold. Logically, these guys had no prior grudge against him, but they had wanted to kill him, loot him and even massacre the village.
Although he vaguely sensed that this village might not be entirely innocent either, Jeff's intention to eliminate him along with everyone else in this village was far too obvious.
As the flames burned, the man let out screams akin to a slaughtered pig. If it were purely for healing, although painful, it would be bearable. The reason he screamed so miserably was entirely because Ryuji intentionally made it so.
He deliberately increased the temperature and retained some of the fire's destructive properties, which was why the man suffered and screamed so intensely.
This human stump finally began begging frantically for mercy after Ryuji extinguished the flames.
"I was wrong! I was wrong! I won't say anything unnecessary!"
Jeff was truly on the verge of going crazy. He now completely dared not disobey Ryuji's words, but the venomous hatred in his heart hadn't disappeared. He was still scheming about how to turn the tables and kill Ryuji.
"Do you have any recent information on the Black Dog mercenary group?"
Ryuji shot out the steel wires again. Their projection speed was extremely fast, basically matching his full sprint speed, so an inattentive person would definitely not see them.
But obviously, Jeff, who was entangled once more, was acutely aware of them.
"Yes! Yes! Recently, the high-ups of the Seven Shields Alliance wanted to hire them to deal with the monsters, but because their actions are too despicable, so..."
Hearing this, Ryuji sharply pressed down his greatsword. The wires once again began pressing into Jeff's flesh.
"How does your mercenary group's depravity compare to that of the Black Dog mercenary group?"
Ryuji was curious about this. After all, the hentai mainly depicted various sexual encounters; he hadn't learned much about other aspects.
But the feeling he got from these people, both the villagers and the mercenaries, was terrible.
Ryuji could sense the malice from both the villagers and these mercenaries.
"We... we can't compare to those big shots in the Black Dog. They are the vilest of the vile, stopping at nothing to complete their missions. If you can't afford their hiring fee, your entire family gets slaughtered. Rumor has it they even experiment on people and feed them to monsters within their ranks. I don't know the specifics, I'm just a member of a third-rate mercenary group."
Jeff answered immediately and what he said was the truth. He was just a low-level mercenary, doing dirty jobs and hard labor for the nobles to make money.
He was in no way comparable to those in the Black Dog Mercenary.
"I see."
Ryuji nodded and asked his final question.
"Where is the nearest city? If you answer well, I can reattach your limbs right now."
Jeff was stunned for a moment, then spoke in a sincere tone.
"To the north."
Ryuji sighed, then lowed his sword. Watching Jeff's disbelieving eyes, Ryuji spoke calmly.
"I came from the north."
After speaking, Ryuji sharply pressed down his sword edge. The wires were pulled taut completely. Jeff's body instantly turned into a bloody mess, countless pieces of flesh and blood splattering out, revealing stark white bones.
Ryuji retracted his wires and released dragon fire, completely burning Jeff to ashes.
Then, he looked at the trembling village chief and asked.
"Where is the nearest city?"
He looked at the chief, sensing the power of another type of drug mixed in the air, and the dangerous feeling emanating from the two women slowly approaching. Ryuji was giving them one last chance.
But the chief looked at Ryuji happily.
"Where would you like to go, sir?"
The drug had taken effect, and...
The two girls' faces showed expressions of successful scheming. The moment the chief raised his staff, daggers stained with some kind of agent appeared in their hands!
Ryuji didn't speak. He simply silently pressed down his sword blade.
In an instant, everyone who had closed in was surrounded by countless wires. Even the little girl holding the rag doll was no exception.
The chief's smile instantly turned ugly, becoming a sheepish grin.
"Benefactor, what are you..."
Ryuji let out a soft sigh. He felt this world was utterly rotten. Because even from that little girl, he sensed murderous intent towards him.
Not necessarily because of hatred for him, probably just for the equipment and money on him.
"I'm very sensitive to scents. These so-called maidens carry the scent of other men, men not from your village. Many of them. And there's a smell of decay. But if you hadn't attacked me, I could have pretended not to know."
After saying this, Ryuji pressed down the greatsword in his hand. The steel wires anchored in the air instantly exerted force, cutting all the villagers who had vaguely surrounded him into pieces.
"This world... really leaves me speechless."
Retracting his blood-stained greatsword, Ryuji felt truly awful. These villagers, whom he had saved twice, just moments after he rescued them, were preparing to ambush and kill him. It was truly outrageous how honest and simple the local customs were.
It forced him, the one who was trying to save people, to kill everyone.
"My intention was genuinely to do a good deed..."
Without looking at the corpses, flames quickly appeared in Ryuji's hand. Rampant dragon fire instantly devoured everything around, burning the village clean.
Ryuji then went to a few corpses of people who seemed relatively clean, took some coins from them, and quickly headed in the direction from which the mercenaries had come.
Because his Magic cloak was burned and now was on cooldown, Ryuji could only travel by constantly swinging through the air using the steel wires. However, after witnessing the 'simplicity' of the local natives, and without the Magic cloak, Ryuji didn't dare fly too high. Instead, he leaped continuously across the treetops of the forest, stopping on large trees from time to time to observe the surroundings.
"But if the Seven Shields Alliance is already considering hiring the Black Dog mercenary group, that means the plot is about to start. The Black Dog mercenary group is about to turn against them."
Ryuji pondered this as he moved swiftly.
"Earlier, when fighting those self-proclaimed third-rate mercenaries, I could clearly feel that their eyes could actually track my movements. It was just that their bodies weren't trained enough to keep up. So, the power level of this world probably isn't too low."
When he moved earlier, although Jeff couldn't see his movements clearly, a few guys who looked like thieves had still discerned his trajectory. Clearly, this world wasn't without its experts. And if there really are gods here, the number of experts probably wasn't small.
"That makes things a bit more troublesome. And the malice in this world is just too strong."
Thinking about the two groups of people he encountered earlier, Ryuji couldn't help but feel disgusted. He finally tried to do a good deed, but ended up facing such situations.
"I hope the rest of the people in this world aren't like this. Otherwise, I'll probably just leave."
Ryuji wasn't incapable of enduring harsh environments; he could treat it purely as an experience.
But the feeling of being betrayed by those he saved was just too unpleasant.
"Guess it's just typical of an Hentai world."
Leaping to the top of a large tree, Ryuji paused for a moment, leaning against the trunk as he gazed into the distance.
His luck was quite good; he had indeed found a town, or more precisely, a massive castle.
In the distance was a typical medieval city, surrounded by huge walls. Outside the walls were fields, villages, and some areas that were clearly slums.
"I still need to get used to the language here. I should have asked clearly where this place is earlier..."
Ryuji felt a bit frustrated. He'd been so disgusted earlier that he forgot to ask which fortress city this was.
But that was a minor issue. He could ask after entering the city.
So, Ryuji jumped down from the tree and began walking towards the fortress city.
Nothing much happened along the way. The people in the surrounding villages showed no interest in him, despite the two greatswords on his back. In fact, they would keep their distance when they saw him, commenting on his clothes.
Ryuji knew his modern clothing was conspicuous, but he didn't pay it much mind. He planned to find a cloak to wear after entering, just to cover his clothes.
However, he still underestimated the danger of this world.
Just as he approached the massive city wall, strange shrieks suddenly sounded from the sky, followed by the sound of something cutting through the air.
Ryuji immediately looked up and saw some large, round dots rapidly approaching. The people around him also looked up in panic, and upon seeing the black dots in the sky, they frantically rushed towards the huge city wall.
Soon, horn blasts echoed. Ryuji saw countless soldiers in knight's armor appear on the distant city wall.
These soldiers were armed to the teeth. They quickly manned the ballista, adjusting their positions. Someone near Ryuji screamed in terror, naming these monsters.
"Run! Wyverns are attacking!"
