POV Narrator
In an underground laboratory somewhere in Chernobog, around a sarcophagus more advanced than many current technologies, there are four people: Guard, Medic, Amiya, and Shielder.
"Finally, Doctor, we're about to see each other again." Amiya said, lovingly touching the lid of the sarcophagus, which from the outside looks like a large, human-sized metal rectangle.
Amiya is a 15-year-old teenage girl, 142 cm tall, and belongs to the Cautus race, which means she has two long rabbit ears on top of her head and a small, fluffy rabbit tail.
Amiya is a 15-year-old teenage girl, 142 cm tall, with fair skin, blue eyes, and long brown hair.
Amiya is of the Cautus breed, which means she has two long rabbit ears on top of her head and a small, fluffy rabbit tail.
The girl wears a short white one-piece dress, complemented by a dark blue-black tie with ruffles, a blue plaid miniskirt, black leggings, and blue shoes with white soles.
Amiya's unique piece of clothing is an old black coat from Rhodes Island, which is too big for the Cautus girl's small body. However, the meticulous repairs she's made make it look as good as new.
Amiya wears unique accessories, an anklet on her right ankle, a bracelet on her left thigh, a choker and ten rings on her fingers, all of them blue in color.
Finally, on his left wrist he wears a personalized Infection monitor.
Guard, being the Senior Operator, tasked with protecting Amiya and Medic, remains near the entrance door, sword in hand, not knowing what might happen.
Chernobog is a city belonging to the Ursus, famous for being the country in the world with the most hatred towards Oripathy sufferers, treating them as the source of all evil in society.
Therefore people like Guard, Medic and Amiya are found will end up in bitter trouble.
The other two women in the group, Medic and Shielder, approach Amiya.
"Amiya, I don't want to ruin your dream of hugging Doctor again, but he's been in this for a long time, I can't say what will happen when he's released." Medic said, trying to keep the bunny girl from getting false hopes.
Medic, real name Maria, is a young woman in her twenties, 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a petite build, pale skin, shoulder-length brown hair, and brown eyes. She is a Terran of the Feline race, which means she has two cat-like ears on top of her head and a tail that extends from her coccyx.
She wears dark green shoes, an Infection monitor on her left ankle, a blue miniskirt, a dark gray sweatshirt with a blue winter collar, and light gray medical gloves.
Over the sweatshirt he wears a black short-sleeved hooded jacket, a Rhodes Island paramilitary model.
On top of his head he wears a black bow with a small white cross-shaped symbol in the center.
For her role as the team's healer, Medic Maria carries a dark green shoulder bag with an orange medical cross on it.
Amiya nods at Medic Maria's words, trying to show that she is prepared for the worst possible outcome.
But Amiya's blue eyes look terribly fragile.
Doctor Maria would like to offer a word of support to Amiya, but she can't.
As a doctor, Maria must be objective and focus on the task at hand: caring for a patient who has been kept alive by machines for years and will need to be disconnected from them.
Luckily for Amiya, she has a friend who's good at comforting and never loses sight of hope.
"Amiya, no matter what happens, I'll be with you every step of the way." Shielder said, as she squeezes Amiya's hand in support.
Shielder, True Name, Mash Kyrielight.
Mash is a young woman in her early twenties, but she looks younger than she should, as if she were only slightly older than Amiya.
Mash is 158 cm tall, has smooth, white skin, lilac/pink hair, her hairstyle is a simple bob with short bangs that cover her left eye.
Her figure is quite athletic and her breasts have provoked comments from many men and women about her physique, so much so that she was given the nickname "Mashmallow".
Mash wears a paramilitary uniform in the colours of Rhodes Island, i.e. black and blue.
Mash's uniform was customized so that her abdomen and lower back were on full display.
His ears are covered by high-tech, military-style headphones.
On his back, he carries a large black backpack, which contains various supplies and surprises.
On Mash's utility belt, she keeps a personalized first aid kit on the left, and a holster with a semi-automatic pistol and a retractable sword for emergencies on the right.
Mash's main weapon is a riot shield, with an elaborate coat of arms painted in white on it, divided into two parts: on the left a white crescent surrounded by a C of leaves, on the right an intimidating and master-looking black dragon, the two parts are held apart by a large purple/pink cross.
"Thanks, Mash, I'm glad you wanted to come with me here, even though you didn't have to." Amiya said, smiling at her pink/lavender-haired friend.
"What are friends for, if not to help in times of need?" Mash said sincerely.
Amiya's blue eyes, once full of fragility, fill with joy and reassurance.
Mash's presence and touch can do wonders for someone's mood.
Someone in the group noticed Amiya's change of mood.
"I have nothing against this friendship-intimacy bordering on yuri, but can we hurry up, I have a bad feeling," Guard said, starting to feel restless.
Guard, Real Name Gabi, is an adult male of the Perro race, medium height, with a robust physique and light brown skin.
Guard's clothing covers him completely, leaving no identifying features visible except for his short brown dog tail.
He wears a black hat, sunglasses, a tube scarf that covers the lower part of his face, a gray T-shirt, black fingerless gloves, blue winter pants, and black shoes with blue soles.
Over his T-shirt he wears a Rhodes Island paramilitary jacket, a shoulder backpack, and a communications radio.
Guard's weapon is a simple sword.
Amiya's face suddenly turns red, her mind pure as snow filled with scenes of close "friendship" between her and Mash.
The lavender-haired woman, no longer as pure as she once was, does not turn into a red chili pepper, but her cheeks do turn slightly red.
'I should say Guard is a pervert. But within Rhodes Island, there's a small fan club dedicated to Amiya and Mash, especially Mash.' Medic Maria thinks, trying not to have any strange thoughts, which is more difficult than it should be because of Mash.
The lavender-haired woman unwittingly managed to become extremely popular among the people of Rhodes Island thanks to a combination of attractive physical appearance, high intelligence, a pleasant personality, and various talents.
"Mash and I are just friends, close friends, but just friends!" Amiya exclaims, trying to clarify the matter.
"Look, don't fantasize too much and concentrate on guarding the entrance." Mash said in a calm voice, having been through much more awkward situations.
"I agree with Shielder. Guard, don't rush us, I'm about to begin a long and delicate medical procedure." Medic Maria said, approaching the sarcophagus's control panel.
"I'll help you however I can, Medic." Mash said, putting down her shield and backpack, which were useless items at the moment.
"I'm not a trained doctor, but I'm perfectly capable of providing assistance to a doctor." Mash said, zipping up her medical kit and checking to see what supplies were available.
"Your presence will make my job easier, and it's a relief not to be the only person in the group with medical experience," Medic Maria said, appreciating Mash's presence and expertise.
"Do your best, girls," Amiya exclaims, crossing her fingers, hoping everything will be okay.
Medic Maria pressed a button, starting the opening of the sarcophagus.

Half an hour later, Medic and Shield are working to save a certain Doctor, while Amiya watches from the edge.
"We're losing him! Give me the adrenaline!" Medic Maria shouts, while performing CPR.
"His heart might not be able to handle an adrenaline shot, so it's better to use the X-67 drug." Mash replies, holding out a futuristic-looking syringe with a fluorescent blue substance inside.
"Isn't this experimental?" asks Doctor Maria, knowing very little about this drug, only that it has been tested by the Medical Department for the past few months.
"Rhodes Island hasn't finished its tests, but my friends who created it and deem it safe." Mash replies, holding the syringe with the X-67 drug in front of Medic Maria.
The Feline woman continues to perform CPR on the patient, but her eyes flicker between the patient who needs help and the experimental drug.
She is clearly undecided whether to use adrenaline, which could be risky, or try something unknown
"Do something!" Amiya shouts as she approaches the two women, losing control for a moment.
Medic Maria's moment of uncertainty was broken by Amiya's scream.
"If he dies, Mash, you'll have to explain yourself to Kal'tsit." Medic Maria said, stopping CPR and grabbing the syringe.
"I won't have to do anything because that medicine will save him." Mash said confidently, fully trusting in the medicine her friends and Senpai had created.
Taking a small breath, Medic Maria injects the experimental drug into the doctor's body.
Amiya holds her breath, unsure whether she is about to be struck by hope or despair.
"Yes, he's stabilizing." Medic Maria states in a surprised voice, starting to check his vital signs.
The Doctor is moaning and slowly moving his fingers and toes, a sign that he is waking up.
Amiya threw herself at the Doctor's side without thinking, wanting to be close to him.
Mash approaches the bunny girl and puts a hand on her shoulder, trying to calm her down. Easier said than done.
The Doctor began to show signs of consciousness, his right hand began to move.
"Doctor, take my hand!" Amiya shouts, reaching out to the man in the sarcophagus.
The Doctor grabs Amiya's hand, an emotion of pure happiness appears on the bunny girl's face.
Unfortunately, the moment didn't last long; what little consciousness the Doctor had shown suddenly disappeared. The Doctor passed out.
"Maria, Mash, I need help!" Amiya exclaims in a frightened voice.
Mash pulled Amiya away so she couldn't get in the way of Medic Maria's intervention.
"Doctor, Doctor!" Amiya cries, trying to stay by her beloved Doctor's side.
But Mash is much stronger than Amiya, he can easily drag her away from the sarcophagus.
With the field clear, Medic Maria returns to her work, checking on the Doctor's physical condition.
"Maria, how is the Doctor?" Amiya asks, struggling in Mash's grip.
"Just a moment ago, we were holding hands. So why hasn't the Doctor woken up yet?" Amiya asks, proving that all her emotional preparation was for nothing.
"Amiya! Calm down! You're keeping us from working!" Mash scolds Amiya, no longer able to tolerate her hysterical behavior.
Amiya finally realizes the outrage she's making. She lowers her gaze in shame, even her ears drooping with emotion.
"A thousand apologies, girls, I don't know what happened to me," Amiya said, trying to apologize for her behavior earlier.
"I'm not judging you, Amiya. You're young and you care so much about the Doctor. If I were your age and my Senpai was in that sarcophagus, I'd do the same to you." Mash said, stroking Amiya's head like a big sister.
"You always get so nervous when it comes to the Doctor. But, Amiya, if the worst happens... what would you do then?" asks Medic Maria, concerned about Amiya's mental state.
"I'm already mentally prepared for this. We'll continue to follow the plan," Amiya said, clearly lying about being prepared for the worst-case scenario.
"I understand. Anyway, I'll do what you asked." Medic Maria said, focusing on her patient.
"Preparing for loss and suffering loss are two completely different things. I hope the Doctor recovers, I don't want to see Amiya's heart break," Mash thinks, remembering some particularly painful moments.
"I really appreciate what you're doing." Amiya said, feeling compelled to thank Medic Maria for her actions.
"Speaking of Doctor, how's his condition?" Amiya asks, her ears drooping slightly.
Mash can't help but move her arm and pet Amiya's head, she's too adorable for her own good.
"Don't worry, Amiya. All the Doctor's vital signs are stable, the X-67 drug is working better than expected," Medic Maria said, admitting that the experimental stuff Mash offered was of excellent quality.
"Great news," Amiya exclaims, her voice filled with relief.
"Amiya, you shouldn't stress yourself out so much, or you'll risk getting gray hairs sooner than expected," Mash said, jokingly.
The lavender-haired girl wants to cheer up her friend with bunny ears.
"Breathing is slightly shallow, but blood pressure is normal. There should be no cause for concern," Doctor Maria mutters, continuing to examine her patient's physical condition.
"I'm going to help Medic Maria, stay calm and don't get too excited." Mash said, stopping holding Amiya.

Before long, the person, known only as the Doctor, wakes up.
Amiya's ears stand up straight like radio antennas, as she covers her mouth in emotion.
"Am I awake?" asks Doctor Maria, keeping an eye on her patient's pupils and eyes.
The Doctor blinks, his pupils narrowing in the light, his gaze shifting to the three women before him.
"Amiya, great news! The Doctor's awake!" Mash exclaims, being able to read the signs that the patient is aware of his surroundings.
"I'm so happy... Doctor." Amiya exclaims, almost crying tears of joy.
The Doctor tries to get up, but is stopped by Medic Maria and Mash.
"No sudden movements, Doctor. You've been hooked up to life support for so long, your body is weakened." Mash said, placing a hand on the Doctor's shoulder and chest, helping him stabilize.
"I agree with Mash, you shouldn't try to move yet. I need to run some tests to make sure you can stand up without breaking something or having a heart attack or stroke." Medic Maria said, worrying about possible sudden complications.
Amiya looks at the Doctor, comparing the man before her with her memories of him. Physically, the Doctor hasn't changed a bit.
The Doctor remains a Bishōnen, a handsome, slightly effeminate boy with snow-white hair, dark gray eyes, and an androgynous voice. He's a bit thin, with little muscle. He stands 178 centimeters tall.
But Amiya noticed a difference in the Doctor's gaze, in her memory his eyes had a certain weight, now those gray eyes seemed empty and confused.
"Doctor?" Amiya said, approaching the white-haired man.
The patient places a hand on his neck, as if he felt a slight pain or discomfort.
The Doctor suddenly starts coughing, Medic Maria and Mash waste no time in helping him expel secretions from his lungs.
The Doctor finally stops coughing, takes a deep breath, and manages to say his first words in a low voice: "Who... are you?"
These two almost whispered words were a near-fatal attack for Amiya.
"Doctor... It's me... It's me, Amiya." Amiya said, hoping that her beloved Doctor wouldn't recognize her due to the effects of puberty.
"I've grown a lot since we last saw each other, but I'm Amiya. Me, Mash, and many others have come to save you," Amiya said, hoping these words would be enough to solve the problem.
The Doctor's expression shows only confusion.
'This isn't a good sign.' Mash thinks, getting an idea of what the Doctor might be suffering from.
"Who... am I...?" asks the Doctor, hoping to get an answer from the little girl with the bunny ears.
Amiya bites her lip, realizing that the passing of time and her growth aren't the real reason her Doctor doesn't recognize her.
Mash lets Medic Maria take care of the Doctor, she puts a hand on Amiya's shoulder, trying to help her even a little.
"You... are a member of Rhodes Island, just like us... ...as is my partner... Doctor Lelouch." Amiya said, barely managing to finish her sentence.
"You're the most important person to me. Doctor... don't you remember?" Amiya asks, hoping that by some miracle, Doctor Lelouch's mind will instantly recover.
"I understand." The Doctor replies, his expression less confused and more thoughtful.
For a moment nothing happens, Medic Maria and Mash don't want to interfere, not being able to make any kind of promise to Amiya.
"Nice to meet you, Amiya." Doctor Lelouch said in a friendly tone, offering his hand to Amiya with a lethargic motion.
"Ah, um, hi." Amiya said with an awkward expression, not knowing how to react to the whole situation.
Mash offers an encouraging smile, hoping that Doctor Lelouch's heart has remained the same, even if his memory may be impaired.
"I, I don't know how to say this, but so many things have changed since before. And that goes for me too." Amiya confesses, as she grabs Doctor Lelouch's hand.
"Anyway, you'll always be the most important person to me, Doctor Lelouch. No matter what happens, this will never happen, that's why, please... give me a little more time." Amiya said, letting go, letting Medic Maria take care of Doctor Lelouch.
Mash follows her bunny-eared female friend to a corner of the room, obviously needing to talk to her.

Author's Note:
If anyone is wondering I'm a huge Code Geass fan.
Am I the only one who sees a certain similarity between Kal'tsit and CC?
I admit this story is shorter than expected, but I think it could work as a prologue/introduction.
