Chapter 304 - Chapter 6: Would This Be Uncomfortable?

With a single interview, Tendou made sure the audience would remember him.

The viewers now knew that besides the protagonist, Isagi Yoichi, there was another character who was unbelievably arrogant, yet incredibly talented and ridiculously handsome.

Tendou looked at the bullet comments and nodded with satisfaction.

A public persona is something that needs to be built up slowly. Even the protagonist is the same; it's impossible to win over the audience right from the start. The first thing Tendou had to do was make the audience remember him, and then he could gradually craft his persona.

Returning home...

Right, he didn't have a home here.

The useless system had only arranged an identity for him; it wasn't responsible for any other aspect of his daily life. Fortunately, he could still return to the world of Kuroko's Basketball, otherwise he wouldn't even have a place to live. How could he, a magnificent transmigrator, a "Brother Chuan," possibly sleep on the streets?

And so.

After finishing the match, Tendou directly crossed back to the world of Kuroko's Basketball and had a long sleep.

When he woke up the next day, he washed his face and walked out into the living room, and the doorbell rang again.

He opened the door and, sure enough, it was Satsuki.

As time went by, Satsuki, who was gradually approaching adulthood, had developed even more beautifully. She was truly a goddess descended from heaven. The last traces of her youthful innocence hadn't completely faded, but she had become more mature, possessing a different kind of charm. That pink long hair... you couldn't get that effect even with dye.

"Satsuki, why are you here so early?"

"Because I want to watch you act, Ten-kun."

Tendou walked over and sat on the sofa, pouring a glass of water for Satsuki and himself.

"Watch me act?"

Tendou then remembered that he still had a cheesy idol drama to finish filming here.

"What's so interesting about watching me act? Are you planning to get into the entertainment industry in the future?"

"No, I just want to see you, Ten-kun. Besides, I'm bored at home anyway."

Satsuki said with a cheerful smile, her eyes crinkling.

Over the past year, she had become much bolder in her speech. If she wasn't bold, Tendou would be even less responsive. She had thought that this time, too, Tendou would brush it off lightly.

But unexpectedly, after hearing her words, Tendou suddenly reached out, wrapped an arm around her waist, and with a gentle tug, pulled her onto his lap.

"T-Ten-kun?!"

The sudden intimate contact made the young woman blush beet red. Her face heated up at a visible rate, turning as red as if it had been roasted. She had fantasized about such a scene countless times, but when it actually happened, she lost her nerve. For a moment, she could only sit stiffly on Tendou's lap, not knowing what to do.

Tendou looked at her, pressed his forehead directly against hers, and forced her to meet his gaze. He could see Satsuki's eyelashes trembling.

...

After an unknown amount of time.

Tendou chuckled and, holding her, said, "Want to go on a date later?"

"Don't you have to film?" Satsuki didn't even dare to lift her head.

"Not filming. It won't make a difference to miss a day or so. I'll just say I'm tired from playing a game and need to rest for a day."

"Okay."

Only then did Satsuki lift her head, speaking in a soft and gentle voice, before going out to have fun with Tendou.

...

"Women will only slow down the speed at which I draw my sword!"

Two days later.

Tendou returned once more to the world of Blue Lock.

He had spent the last two days with Satsuki. He hadn't trained for two consecutive days, a truly heinous crime. And so, after staying for two days, he returned to the world of Blue Lock. Since this world hadn't been "cleared" yet, time would not stop just because he left.

"I should figure out this soccer thing first."

Time to draw!

Training is necessary, and hard work is essential. But facts prove that choices are often more important than effort. Tendou had tested it before; when he used the lottery in the world of Kuroko's Basketball, the rewards were all basketball-related. So, he specifically returned to Blue Lock to use the lottery.

"Congratulations Host for obtaining attribute points: Long Pass +1, Dribbling +1, Shooting +1..."

He had saved up a lot of popularity points before. Originally, he had planned to use them to resurrect Riko, but who knew that even after Kuroko's Basketball finished airing, he still hadn't gathered enough. So, he could only improve his own attributes first, then work hard to earn more popularity points to resurrect his dear wife. He believed Riko wouldn't blame him; after all, Tang San's rabbit waited much longer.

After he finished, his personal panel had changed.

Physical attributes like speed and strength didn't need improvement; they were immovably maxed out at 99 points. The other attributes, however, had undergone a dramatic change.

Shooting: 60 (83), Ball Control: 51 (79), Passing: 45 (84). Offense: 70 (86), Heading: 42 (80), Set Pieces: 38 (80). Curve, Tackling, Defense, Physical Contact, etc....

Compared to when he played against Kokuo, his improvement was more than just a little bit.

"The average is above 80. With my physical attributes, this should be enough." Tendou didn't blindly max out his stats. His advantage in physical talent was too obvious. As long as his technique was sufficient and didn't hold his physical talent back, he could be an extremely strong force. Besides, the attribute point lottery was random. If he really tried to get so many attributes to 99, he had no idea if he could accomplish it even after exhausting all his popularity points.

And.

"Let me see, has the Blue Lock project started yet?"

Tendou stretched his back, took the cash he had brought from the world of Kuroko's Basketball, and walked into a random cafe to look for a television.

...

After the disappointment at the 2018 World Cup, the Japanese fans' dissatisfaction with the national team and even the Football Association had reached its peak. The Blue Lock project was an incredibly vast talent development plan, and the results were naturally discussed at the national level.

However, there was no news about Blue Lock on television.

"Hasn't it started yet?" Tendou sat for about half an hour. There were no reports on TV, and no one around him was talking about it. That "experiment" probably hadn't begun.

Meanwhile.

At the Japan Football Union, an important meeting was taking place. A woman in her early twenties was speaking eloquently in front of a group of JFU bigwigs. Her name was Anri Teieri, and she was a recently hired member of the association.

She stood before all the top brass of the JFU without a trace of stage fright, placing her hands on the conference table and saying, "I'll be direct. If things continue like this, Japanese football will never win the World Cup!"

...

Anri Teieri, 22 years old, was a young member of the Football Association. How did she attain such a high position at such a young age? She had a father with powerful connections and a wide network! A youth with lofty ambitions!

Shortly after taking office, Anri Teieri was eager to make a change.

Regarding Japanese football, there was no questioning this aspect: from being a third-tier team in Asia, they progressed to second-tier, and then became a first-tier, even the strongest team in Asia. They went from considering China's national team a formidable rival to now not giving them a second thought.

Compared to China's national team, Japanese football was at the opposite extreme. One generation was worse than the last, while the other was stronger with each new generation.

Today's Japanese football no longer focused on Asia, but set its sights on the world stage.

The 2018 World Cup was over. The Japanese national team fell in the Round of 16, eliminated by Belgium's golden generation with a score of 2:3. Compared to the previous World Cup in Brazil where they failed to advance from the group stage, reaching the Round of 16 this time was a small breakthrough. The problem was, the Japanese national team had fallen in the Round of 16 many times, consistently unable to break through that barrier.
