The crowd was so terrified that some of them had wet themselves. This was supposed to be nothing more than a secret underground fighting club, but now someone was dead.

For many of them, it was the first time they had witnessed someone being killed so gruesomely.

They were terrified. Why wouldn't they be? Every single one of them was an Emberkind. Their strength lay in wealth, not in their fists.

And they had every reason to be afraid.

At that moment, Victor was under the influence of one of the legendary beasts—the Infernal Behemoth Dragon.

'Hmm... I feel strange.'

'Of course you do. Your body isn't used to this. Although the Behemoth can't seize complete control of your body the way I can, its influence will still cloud your judgment.'

Borack continued.

'That bastard once reached the heavens. A terrifying creature. Like me, he specializes in overwhelming brute strength and an insatiable desire for destruction.'

'Fortunately, Overdrive only grants you one-tenth of his power. Had you been using even half...'

'The entire human school would've been reduced to ashes instead of merely punching a hole through one human. Hahaha.'

Victor could only imagine the devastation these legendary creatures were capable of unleashing. And if one day he truly wielded such power...

He would be free to do whatever he wanted.

"Ha... ha... ha. That's nice to hear," Victor replied aloud, his voice deep and sonorous.

Almost immediately, a thunderous clap shook the air. The ground trembled as a violent shockwave burst outward, sending a cloud of dust across the arena and blinding everyone present. Just as quickly as it appeared, the dust settled.

Victor was gone.

"It seems the test was a failure," a voice whispered from behind Samuel. "Humans simply aren't durable enough."

Samuel remained silent for a moment before speaking.

"It seems we'll have to use more of that monster's blood. And this time, without any foreign substances. It appears they interfered with the blood's fusion."

"You sure?" the other man asked skeptically.

Samuel shot him a cold glance.

The man immediately lowered his head.

"Right away, Vice Principal."

Time: 5:03

"The night's almost over. Finally... I can get some sleep," the guard at the front gate muttered excitedly.

He bent down to gather his belongings when an unfamiliar sound made him freeze.

The next instant, the door exploded open.

Victor stepped out.

The guard's eyes widened at Victor's appearance, and he instinctively staggered backward.

He wasn't even given a moment to react.

Victor's figure distorted for a split second before disappearing completely.

That was simply how fast he could move in the Behemoth state. After all, this was a creature that had once reached the heavens and possessed enough strength to shatter mountains. Now imagine that same power compressed into a human-sized body, freed from the burden of its colossal weight.

Weaving carefully between the trees, Victor controlled his incredible speed with surprising precision, as though his body already knew exactly how to move.

It didn't take long before he reached the dormitory.

Tilting his head upward, he leaped silently toward the building.

His claws briefly dug into the wall, just enough to support his weight before he launched himself upward again. He repeated the motion until he reached his room's window.

He climbed this way to avoid leaving deep claw marks that might attract unwanted attention later.

Slipping inside, Victor quietly scanned the room.

His roommate was fast asleep in the corner, his loud snoring making that obvious.

As Victor walked toward his bed, a thought crossed his mind.

'Killing a human doesn't really affect me anymore... does it?'

"Skill Deactivated"

The pressure weighing on his body instantly vanished.

Victor lay down on his bed and pulled the blanket over himself.

'I don't really care anymore...

Anything is worth it for my revenge.'

.

The morning sun climbed into the sky, bathing the room in warm golden light. Its rays fell across the face of a certain young man, causing him to wince slightly.

"Ugh... my head..."

Caleb slowly pushed himself upright, still dazed. One hand clutched his throbbing head as he struggled to stand.

His vision remained blurred for a few moments, and a sharp ringing echoed in his ears. Even so, he quickly regained his composure.

As he surveyed the room, his memories came flooding back. His expression gradually darkened, his face becoming cold and emotionless.

I'm going to kill that guy. Where is he?!

As though some god had answered his silent prayer, Victor stepped out of the bathroom at that exact moment, a towel wrapped around his waist and a toothbrush hanging from the corner of his mouth.

"You..."

Caleb possessed a unique crimson aura. Without warning, it flared to life before erupting into blazing flames.

The flames burned with terrifying intensity, laying bare the fury he held toward the protagonist. In the next instant, Caleb launched himself forward, unleashing a flying side kick.

His objective was simple: drive his heel straight into Victor's jaw.

However, Victor was no novice. As a trained martial artist, he reacted instantly, raising his elbow to intercept the kick.

But what Victor hadn't anticipated was the sheer force behind the attack.

The impact hurled him across the room, slamming him into the wall with a thunderous crash. Yet he didn't fall. He remained firmly on his feet, enduring the blow through sheer determination.

"He's strong... An Elementalis, perhaps?"

He was right.

Caleb was an Elementalis—a Level 3 human, the same rank as Victor, and the first person of equal strength Victor had crossed fists with since transmigrating.

Caleb raised an eyebrow. He hadn't expected someone who looked so frail to react to his speed, let alone withstand a kick powered by more than half of his strength.

Not many people in the academy could.

"How can a first-year..." he muttered.

"Hah... hah... hah..."

Victor answered with a laugh.

He ran a hand through his hair, a wide grin spreading across his face. His arms stretched out to his sides, and excitement gleamed in his eyes.

"Wanna go?!"
