Chapter 255 - The Sixth Door — Guardian of the Forgotten Light

The sacred hallway revealed by the fifth door was darker than night. Not because there was no light but because this darkness had meaning. It was ancient. Heavy. Alive. The Mandram Holders stepped forward with care, their feet trembling against the cold, whispering stone. The sixth door waited ahead. It was larger than all before it. Wider. Taller. Covered in markings no Thaliyola could translate, etched with the patience of gods.

"This isn't a seal," someone whispered behind trembling breath. "This is a guardian."

Far from the sacred chamber, hidden within the car, Rayyan watched Mirshad closely. His brother was still. His eyes unblinking. But his hands had begun to clench slowly, as if resisting something that moved within. He hadn't said a word, but something inside him had awakened. And then… a voice.

It didn't come from above. It didn't echo through the air. It rose from within. From the very core of him. The same voice that once warned him it must sleep. The voice that once called him beyond the realm of man.

"They're close," it said softly. "The next door… is mine to protect."

Mirshad's lips moved without sound, a quiet whisper brushing the edge of memory.

"I remember you…"

Rayyan didn't ask. He didn't interrupt. He just sat beside him in silence, knowing this was not a moment for questions. This was a moment only the soul could walk through.

Inside the temple, the chants began once again. Voices rose. Energy swirled. Light filled the chamber like rising mist. The Mandram Holders aligned in perfect rhythm, their formations flawless, their hearts steady. The sixth door responded.

Not with light.

Not with force.

But with resistance.

The air thickened, pressing against their lungs. The carved symbols began to glow, but not in welcome—only in warning. Then suddenly—

CRACK.

A violent wind surged through the chamber. The flames died. The lights shattered. The stone itself groaned—not as if it were being opened, but as if it were stepping aside.

The sixth door didn't open forward.

It slid sideways.

And what they saw next froze every breath in the room.

There it stood.

The seventh door.

But it wasn't waiting alone.

Between the sixth and seventh—stood a barrier.

Not of stone. Not of metal.

But of light.

Swirling. Living. Cosmic.

Stars spun within it. Moons hovered in orbit. Fragments of ancient time danced through the barrier like galaxies frozen in song.

The Mandram Holders fell to their knees.

One gasped.

"This isn't just energy. This is memory. Divine memory. Guarded by will."

Another's voice trembled.

"This… is a door back to the Creator."

Even the government officers, who had watched the temple with skeptical eyes, stepped away in reverence. They had seen miracles before—but this was beyond faith. This was beyond scripture.

This was cosmic.

Then, through the barrier of stars, something formed.

A shape.

Not a man. Not a god.

But something older.

Vast. Glowing.

The Guardian of Memory.

The same one Mirshad had seen in another time. In another place. The protector of forgotten light.

No words were spoken. But all of them heard the message clearly. Not with their ears—but in their bones.

"No one may pass. This door is not yours. This door… belongs to him."

Back in the car, Mirshad opened his eyes.

But they were no longer just eyes.

They shimmered. Flickered. Galaxies danced quietly behind them, like ancient constellations trapped in a mortal gaze. Then he blinked.

And the light vanished.

He turned to Rayyan and spoke quietly.

"Let them stop here. The next door… will come to me."

Rayyan nodded. Not because he understood. But because he felt it.

Whatever was behind that door…

Was already inside the man beside him.
