*Ding*
*Your concubine Christina Kelly has eliminated Rear Admiral Nakamura Yoichi, causing a positive change in the world*
*You have earned 10,000 SP*
Orion looked at the notification that had just appeared on the system screen and realized that Nakamura's death had granted him more SP than Grodiger's, which proved that the amount of harm a person could cause was not limited to their power or even their rank, even if those were important factors.
During this battle, Orion hadn't participated directly, yet he still received SP thanks to his wives' actions. Although the criminals and corrupt officers eliminated by his troops didn't grant him any SP, those defeated by his system-registered partners did.
This had been a pleasant surprise for Orion, who immediately understood the advantage of having more companions. If they could act independently in the future to eliminate criminals, he would be able to gain SP without having to intervene personally.
Even so, the number of companions he could register in the system was limited, so he couldn't simply go around taking thousands of women as concubines just to maximize the benefits—even if that had been a viable way to exploit the system's mechanics, he still wouldn't have done it.
After all, although Orion was extremely lustful and pragmatic, he was also deeply sentimental. He could never use his affection or relationships with his partners merely as a method to generate SP, since doing so would make him feel uncomfortable and would go against his own convictions.
Moreover, he had noticed that the amount of SP he could gain through his companions seemed to be influenced by the type of bond registered in the system. Secondary wives like Giolla and Olive clearly generated more SP, whereas Reira—who was registered as a "lover"—did not generate any SP at all.
Looking at the serious Christina, who was staring at Nakamura's decapitated body with a trace of sadness, Orion stepped forward and embraced her from behind, enveloping her slender yet alluring figure with his own body.
Christina rested against his chest for a few moments, feeling his heartbeat, and her emotions slowly settled. Then, with a beautiful smile, she stepped away from Orion and said,
"It's not time to rest yet. The battle isn't over."
Without waiting for his response, she rushed forward to continue fighting against the Nakamura forces, who were on the verge of total destruction.
Recalling the sadness on Christina's face, Orion sighed bitterly. It was clear that she wasn't mourning the rear admiral's death, but rather what he represented—the corruption within the Marines.
Even though she was no longer part of that vast organization and would never return to it, she couldn't help but think that without people like Nakamura, the Marines could have protected far more lives.
On the other hand, Orion remembered the words his wife had spoken to Nakamura in his final moments—about corruption and the role of the Marines in this world—and he had to admit that his own opinion of the organization was rather biased.
He knew that within such a massive structure there were countless people who genuinely wished to help the weak, but those individuals rarely managed to succeed within the Marines. They were either relegated to insignificant positions or trapped within a bureaucracy that prevented them from rising through the ranks.
The problem with a corrupt system was its ability to corrupt the new elements that entered it. Even those who hadn't been corrupt in the beginning would eventually have to "adapt" to the Marines' corruption at some point, perpetuating the cycle.
And the only solution for a corrupt system was intervention by an external force capable of purging that corruption. A closed system that had become corrupt had no means of salvation and was doomed to perpetuate its current state—which was precisely the case with the Marines.
This led Orion to consider that even the organizations he was building would inevitably become corrupt someday. It was simply unavoidable: wherever there were humans, there would be corruption.
So, how could he solve or prevent this problem? For now, he could keep things under control because his forces were still relatively small. But in the future, when his power grew enough to allow him to challenge the world itself, how could he prevent his own system from falling into the same decay as the Marines?
Orion didn't yet have a definitive answer, especially because he was thinking about the development of his forces even in a distant future where he might no longer exist in this world. Nevertheless, he concluded that the creation of a new oversight organization would be necessary.
This organization didn't need to be particularly large; its sole purpose would be to monitor the others groups under his command and prevent—as much as possible—the emergence of corrupt officials capable of tainting the entire system.
Of course, he would need someone highly capable and absolutely trustworthy to lead such an important institution. Remembering the skills and personalities of his main subordinates, Orion immediately thought of a couple of possible candidates for the role.
Still, just like the intelligence agency he planned to form, these things would take time to materialize. He decided he would think about it more carefully once he returned to Pacific Kingdom. For now, he still had to witness the end of the battle against the Nakamuras, who were about to disappear from the world altogether.
…
March 15, 1502, Age of the Sea Circle
Five days after the destruction of the Nakamura family, Orion's troops had immediately withdrawn before the Marine forces could arrive in large numbers and trigger another conflict.
After all, Nakamura had been a rear admiral who could be considered the second-in-command of the Marine branch in the South Blue. Moreover, the family that Orion and his troops had just destroyed was undoubtedly one of the most powerful in this sea, precisely because of the large number of its members within the Marines and the influence they could exert over the lives of the people of the South Blue.
When the Marine forces arrived at the place where the Nakamura family's great fortress had once stood, they found only ruins—the once-imposing stronghold had been reduced almost entirely to ashes. With no further information available, the Marines had no choice but to withdraw, unable to uncover anything of significance about the incident, leaving the place completely abandoned.
Finally, today, a small solitary ship approached the island. After mooring at the nearby port, a small group of sharply dressed individuals with an aggressive aura made their way toward the ruins of the Nakamura base. They were led by a bespectacled man whose gentle smile and graceful, elegant gait contrasted sharply with the hostility of his subordinates.
Upon reaching the ruins, the group began to inspect the area in search of clues about what had happened, much like the Marines had done days earlier. However, this team seemed considerably more professional in their work and was able to reconstruct part of the events of that day with relative ease.
Considering the massive footprints left by Lily and the traces of the various abilities used by Orion's subordinates and companions, it wasn't difficult to draw conclusions. The only possible explanation was that the Marines stationed in the South Blue either lacked the necessary skills to perform their duties properly or simply didn't have enough motivation to do so.
The man in glasses who led the group calmly took notes in a small notebook, writing down every relevant detail his subordinates reported, all while maintaining his refined and courteous smile.
However, without warning, a door opened in midair behind him, and Orion emerged like a specter, catching him completely off guard. Pressing his cutlass against the man's neck, he spoke in a cold, sharp tone:
"Where is Umit?"
Orion knew Umit was traveling to the Nakamura base—Grodiger had revealed it during the interrogation. He knew the man was coming to the South Blue with a "group of specialists" who would use some method to break Olive's mind and turn her into his slave.
Orion harbored a deep, irreconcilable hatred toward Umit, not only because he had captured his wife but also because his company had deceived Orion's uncle and grandfather, sending them to work as slaves on the great bridge Rum Wolf.
If Orion hadn't had the system to inform him of his relatives' situation, they might have suffered there for much longer.
It could be said that his enmity with Umit was beyond redemption, and Orion was already planning to completely destroy the magnate and seize control of his organization—an ambitious plan he had begun to outline with Dragon's help, after successfully convincing him to get involved.
Orion's idea was to take control of this global economic colossus and use it not only to fund the Revolutionary Army but also to assist it in its missions. Still, Umit Shipping would undoubtedly lose a large part of its influence under Orion's command, since a huge portion of its transactions involved slaves, drugs, and weapons—things Orion had no intention of dealing with, for obvious reasons.
If he, who possessed a system designed to improve the world as a whole, began trafficking such goods, everything he had worked for until now would lose all meaning.
Even so, the legal operations of Umit Shipping remained vast, and if he could seize control of the organization, it would become a powerful tool for his future plans. What interested Orion the most were its already-established trade routes and the massive flow of money generated by such a company.
Even if its income were reduced by nearly 50% after purging the illegal trade, it would still remain a colossal organization.
For that reason, Orion's ambitious plan wasn't something that could be accomplished in a short period of time; even now, he hadn't yet finalized every detail of it.
Nevertheless, knowing that Umit was personally coming to the South Blue to meet with Nakamura, Orion couldn't let the opportunity to strike directly at the corrupt magnate slip away. After all, someone like Umit was extremely difficult to find, and since he spent most of his time hidden from public view, the chance to surprise him with a sudden attack was far too tempting.
Unfortunately, Umit was not as careless as Orion would have liked. After all, there was a reason he had risen to his current position in the world, having experienced an explosive surge in influence over the past few years with the global expansion of his company, Umit Shipping.
The man with glasses maintained his smile, unfazed by Orion's aggressive move. Raising his hand, he revealed a small Den Den Mushi resting in his palm.
"Were you looking for me?" a voice echoed from the snail.
"Umit?" Orion asked, frowning.
"That's right, bastard! Did you really think I'd walk right into your trap like some fool? Not everyone has the brain of an insect like you!" the magnate sneered arrogantly.
"Heh. I didn't expect you to show up in person, but I knew you'd send someone to investigate one way or another. You can't resist your curiosity, can you? You want to know who I am—and why I killed your dogs, don't you?
Feeling a little nervous now? That strange chill running down your spine...
That's the feeling of death approaching."
Contrary to Umit's expectations, Orion's calm tone made the magnate's blood run cold, because he truly had been feeling uneasy ever since the deaths of his two important subordinates.
High-ranking Marines were difficult contacts to replace, as they facilitated the operations of his company. Even though he had many Marines—like Nakamura and Grodiger—under his control, or at least in business relationships where he held the dominant position, that didn't mean he didn't regret losing such corrupt yet useful officers.
Now he would have to spend money bribing new officials and go through the entire tedious process of setting new hooks to keep them under control. Yet what troubled him most was the speed and brutality with which those two had been eliminated while carrying out his orders.
Something about the situation unsettled him deeply, and like any intelligent man in this world, he knew that instincts like these should never be ignored.
"What do you want?" Umit finally asked, dropping his earlier arrogance.
"What I want? It's very simple. I want you to forget about Olive and behave yourself from now on. Otherwise, your head will be the next to roll," Orion's voice thundered, carrying a quiet, contained fury that made even Umit's subordinates at the scene tremble involuntarily.
Umit himself felt a pang of fear, but his pride wouldn't allow him to show it. Trying to sound tougher than he was, he sneered,
"And what if I don't feel like doing what you say? You should know that when I set my eyes on a woman, I don't rest until she becomes my property, hahaha!"
He burst into laughter like a stereotypical villain, clearly pleased with his own words, which he thought sounded impressive.
However, Orion's response wasn't what he expected at all.
"What you do now is your own business. I've said what needed to be said. Everyone must face the consequences of their own choices."
With that, Orion ended the call abruptly and, without wasting a moment, slaughtered Umit's subordinates. Though they were far stronger than ordinary soldiers, they stood no chance against him.
Aboard a massive vessel in the Grand Line, Umit stared at the Den Den Mushi, now asleep again after the call ended, and gritted his teeth in frustration. Since rising to the top of the commercial world through his company, no one had ever disrespected him like this.
Orion hadn't reacted with anger or outrage, nor had he lost control and resorted to insults. He had simply given him an ultimatum: If you dare plot against Olive, you will die.
It had been nothing more than a calm warning—and he had even said that whatever Umit did next was his own affair, as if he didn't take his power or influence seriously at all. It was like being slapped across the face while being told, "Do as I say, or you'll be punished."
There was a kind of arrogance and authority in Orion's words that Umit had only ever felt from the monstrous entities at the top of the world—and that terrified him even more.
Though a part of him wanted to lash out even harder at the beautiful pirate Olive, if only to defy Orion's words, the sweat on his palms and the tremor in his legs told him otherwise. It wasn't worth the risk.
Finally, trying to contain the humiliation burning inside him, he let out a deep sigh and made a call.
"Cancel all plans related to Olive," Umit said reluctantly, receiving a curt affirmative in response.
Then, after hesitating for a moment, he added,
"And limit our activities in the South Blue. Report any issues to me immediately."
Unlike other prominent figures of the Underworld, Umit didn't possess great combat power. What he had used to reach his current lofty position was intellect, craftiness, sharp intuition—and of course, a massive fortune inherited from his late father. And now, that intuition was telling him one thing: be careful of this mysterious man who had appeared out of nowhere.
Finally, Umit poured himself a glass of whiskey and drank it in one go, easing the unease that still lingered within him. Then he stepped out of his cabin and addressed the Cipher Pol agent waiting by the door.
"I want you to investigate the person behind the Nakamura incident—but do it as discreetly as possible."
The future conflict between Orion and one of the emperors of the Underworld had already begun to take shape at that very moment, and its outcome would undoubtedly send ripples across the world—changing the lives of millions.
…
Meanwhile, the man who had terrified Umit so much was now aboard Olive's pirate ship, which had remained close to the island, waiting to assist if necessary.
Orion had decided to spend some time with his beloved wife, Olive, as it had been several months since they had shared any intimacy due to his travels far from the South Blue. The idea was for the pirate to take him back home on her ship, allowing them to enjoy a couple of weeks together.
Regarding the wedding with Scarlett, it had been postponed since it was impossible for him to return to Dressrosa before March 21st—that is, in six days. He had contacted the beautiful princess, and she had told him not to worry, assuring him that she would discuss the matter with her father to choose another suitable and auspicious date for their wedding.
Now, Orion was in the beautiful pirate captain's private cabin, utterly engrossed in enjoying her sensual body, with nothing else on his mind.
Suddenly, Olive, who was being pressed against the soft bed by Orion's full body weight, turned over with great agility. Mounting her husband, she said with a mysterious smile,
"My love, I have a surprise for you."
Orion stretched out his hands and squeezed the pirate's enormous and beautiful breasts, which were openly displaying their beauty before him. As he revelled in the intoxicating sensation of his lover's body atop his, he asked with curiosity,
"A surprise? What kind of surprise? Do you have a new riding technique?"
Olive moved her plump ass over Orion, making her beloved tremble with pleasure and nearly start a new round of combat right then and there. But before he could, she leaned forward, lying completely flat upon Orion's body, and whispered in his ear,
"It's a big surprise, but you have to say, 'Please give me my surprise, Big Sis.'"
Orion felt his blood begin to boil, and without a second's hesitation, he uttered the magic words Olive had indicated. They often engaged in role-playing games during their lovemaking, and one of the pirate's favourites was adopting the role of "Big Sis," which was her actual position within her pirate crew.
Orion was not so inflexible as to always be the dominant one, and he enjoyed letting Olive take the initiative on occasion, especially because she worked with double the passion at those times, riding like a goddess and generating a pleasure difficult to describe with the words of mortals.
Hearing Orion's words, Olive smiled brightly, feeling her most private place grow even wetter. For her, having her beloved Orion—who was usually an imposing and assertive man—cooperate with her in this type of role-playing game was the best aphrodisiac.
Finally, glancing at the door of her private cabin, she said,
"You may come in!"
Then, under Orion's curious gaze, the door opened slowly, and Ginrummy timidly appeared.
The young pirate entered the room, and locking the door behind her, she approached the bed where the naked lovers lay in an intimate position.
Orion's mouth dropped open in surprise, as he had not at all expected this to be Olive's surprise! Gazing at the sensual pirate Ginrummy, who was dressed in black lingerie specially prepared for the occasion, and who looked at him with a timid but desire-filled expression, Orion couldn't help but react with great vigour, causing Olive to let out a small shriek as she felt Orion's immense excitement.
With a seductive smile, Olive moved her beautiful butt from side to side, teasing Orion, as she said,
"I see our king likes the gift I prepared."
Then, without waiting for Orion to reply, she jumped off, abandoning the intimate position with her beloved. Taking the timid Ginrummy's hand, she told her,
"Come on, Ginrummy, it's time for you to become a woman! Don't worry, your Big Sis will guide you!"
The young pirate nodded and allowed herself to be guided to the bed, where Orion was waiting with illuminated eyes and his manhood fully prepared for the wonderful experiences that were about to unfold.
Looking at the two beautiful pirates before him, Orion couldn't help but shout in his heart that Olive was truly a great wife, and he submerged himself in the world of pleasure along with the two beautiful women.
