I hope you've had your fill of battle. Even though this was my first time writing a full battlefield scene, I had a lot of fun with it—hopefully you liked my style as well.
Now it's time to truly return to the main character. In the next chapter, we might spend about half a chapter checking in on the Red Archers, but there isn't much to tell there—just a group of elves who were tortured and enslaved. Since it will be in first person, it probably won't even take up half a chapter.
After that, we'll focus on Igris's storyline for a while, and I'll mostly stay on that path. From time to time, we might briefly switch to Leon's side for half a chapter, or later on I might write a flashback-style chapter.
Anyway, I hope you're enjoying the story. It seems some people couldn't stick with it and dropped it because I strayed too far from the main character, but I don't see side characters as unimportant. I tend to focus more on the overall plot, though now I really need to focus properly on Igris.
