Victoria stood still for a moment before speaking.
"I want revenge on that son of a bitch father of mine."
The words left her mouth with quiet venom.
For a brief moment, silence filled the ruined battlefield.
Alex rubbed his chin as if he were seriously considering the matter.
Then he spoke in a low voice.
"So you've got daddy issues too, huh?"
He looked down toward the purple sword resting casually in his hand.
"Looks like I'm meeting more and more girls with daddy issues lately."
"Kaelith is one of them too."
The sword immediately began humming violently.
The purple energy surrounding the blade flickered and crackled as if the weapon itself was cursing him.
Alex sighed.
"Alright, alright."
He raised both hands slightly.
"Calm down."
Then he looked back toward Victoria.
"Just remember you're lucky to have such a generous master."
Victoria ignored the insult.
Her expression turned serious.
"The man I'm talking about is not someone ordinary."
