Chapter 440 - Chapter 440: A Sudden Accident

"The first skill of the 100,000-year soul ring is Nine Treasures Divine Light Protection… The second skill is Nine Treasures Invincible Divine Light."

Ning Rongrong was utterly stunned.

All the skills she didn't have were inherited by Ning Fengzhi.

Was this bloodline inheritance?

Wait, something felt off about that.

Listening to Ning Fengzhi's explanation, Ning Rongrong was speechless.

Well, it was fine. These were exactly the skills from her eighth and ninth soul rings in the original story.

However, this greatly enhanced Ning Fengzhi's survival and support capabilities.

With two 100,000-year soul bones, even against an average Title Douluo, surviving wouldn't be an issue.

As an auxiliary soul master, who needs a motorcycle?

"Girl, both skills are pretty good, especially Nine Treasures Invincible Divine Light. It can be used not only on yourself but also on allies," Ning Fengzhi said.

The invincibility lasts only one second, but sometimes one second is the key to victory.

"Indeed, they're very practical skills," Ning Rongrong nodded. "Speaking of which, want to test their effects?"

"Uh…" Ning Fengzhi's temple twitched. "Let's not, shall we?"

Ning Rongrong's expression looked like she was gearing up for some "father-daughter bonding."

Testing it might lead to his demise.

"Alright then," Ning Rongrong said with a hint of regret, though she understood. "It's been pretty exhausting today. Maybe we can try in a couple of days."

She, Gu Yuena, and Bi Ji had essentially been able to "reload" continuously, but fatigue still accumulated.

"After a few days of recovery, we'll test Ning Fengzhi's mettle," Ning Rongrong thought to herself.

Over the next two days, Ning Rongrong asked Xue Ke about her thoughts on Xue Qinghe.

Xue Ke's response left Ning Rongrong at a loss for words.

"I don't want to be enemies with Qian Renxue, but my father and brother's deaths were caused by her."

She didn't know what to do.

Was this truly the continent of love?

To let go of such a grudge.

Ning Rongrong didn't know what Xue Ke would do in the future, but she noticed a mark left by Gu Yuena on Xue Ke's soul. From the information revealed by the mark, it concerned Xue Ke's life.

If Xue Ke became an enemy of Qian Renxue, the soul bones in her body would instantly explode, leading to her death.

Whether Qian Renxue knew about this was unclear. It was possible Gu Yuena had acted independently to prevent leaks.

Either way, it had nothing to do with Ning Rongrong.

Ning Rongrong, along with Sword Douluo, Bone Douluo, and her father Ning Fengzhi, arrived at the training ground.

Ning Fengzhi's breakthrough to Title Douluo hadn't been announced yet, and the past two days had been spent stabilizing his realm.

Now, they planned to test the strength of his two soul skills, with Ning Rongrong acting as the attacker for some "father-daughter bonding."

Tokisaki Kurumi stood at the edge of the training ground, yawning.

Ning Rongrong summoned her Nine Treasures Glazed Tower, gently shaking it, and an imitation Angel Holy Sword quickly materialized.

Her ability to manifest objects was quite useful—much more stylish than smashing people with the tower.

"I'll go all out, so please don't die!" Ning Rongrong flicked her sword gracefully, positioning it in front of her.

Seeing her sharp gaze, Ning Fengzhi swallowed hard.

He had a bad feeling about the stability of his soul skills!

Honestly, Ning Fengzhi thought training with Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo would be better.

But those two wanted to see Ning Rongrong's strength, and this two-birds-one-stone opportunity led both pillars of the sect to opt out.

Damn it, didn't anyone consider the shadow cast on him, the sect leader, by his unscientific daughter?

What if he ended up dead?

Where would they find another sect leader this big to pay their salaries?

Ning Rongrong wasn't as experienced as him!

However, as the sect leader of the Nine Treasures Glazed Sect and Ning Rongrong's father, even if he was nervous, he couldn't show it in front of his daughter.

Patting his chest, Ning Fengzhi raised his Nine Treasures Glazed Tower.

As his soul power surged, the tower emitted a radiant glow.

"Ninth Soul Skill—Nine Treasures Divine Light Protection."

Specks of light fell like snowflakes, enveloping Ning Fengzhi's body. The Nine Treasures Glazed Tower trembled slightly, as if emitting a low hum.

Ning Fengzhi felt as though he was cloaked in soft yet incredibly secure armor.

He patted his chest again and said, "Come on, Rongrong!"

"Let your father see the strength you've cultivated, the power that even Tang Hao couldn't handle."

"Don't worry!"

Seeing Ning Fengzhi's confidence, Ning Rongrong couldn't let him underestimate her.

Faint flames condensed on the manifested Angel Holy Sword, her aura climbing higher.

"Boom—"

A deafening roar echoed through the sky, and Ning Rongrong, along with the others, turned toward the source of the sound.

"What… what is that?" Sword Douluo's face showed shock.

A crack stretched across the sky, its edges impossible to see.

Even from within the Nine Treasures Glazed Sect, they could faintly sense the terrifying killing intent emanating from the rift.

"A battle between Limit Douluo?" Bone Douluo exclaimed instinctively. "No, it might far surpass Qian Daoliu's level."

As they spoke, Shui Cangyue and Dugu Bo, who were still at the Nine Treasures Glazed Sect, rushed over.

"Sect Leader, what's happening over there?" Both arrived together, and since Dugu Bo was familiar, he asked.

"I don't know," Ning Fengzhi said, his voice tinged with shock. "The pressure leaking from that spatial rift probably exceeds Qian Daoliu's level."

Dugu Bo and Shui Cangyue noticed Ning Fengzhi's ninth soul ring but didn't ask about it.

Instead, they were more concerned about the terrifying scene caused by the massive crack in the sky.

A sudden voice echoed.

"One of them is Gu Yuena. The other, I don't know yet."

Ning Rongrong sheathed her weapon and walked over with Tokisaki Kurumi.

"Gu Yuena!?"

Ning Fengzhi knew full well that Gu Yuena was a first-level god.

Though she was here in a clone, unable to unleash her full power, she was likely more than just a Limit Douluo.

"Rongrong, you can sense what's happening over there?" Sword Douluo was surprised.

"Yes, my cultivation method is different from yours," Ning Rongrong said without elaborating. "The auras over there… both sides are using power beyond the quasi-god level."

"Beyond quasi-god, that means…"

Bone Douluo and the others' pupils contracted sharply.

"I don't know the specifics. Kurumi and I will go check it out."

"You all stay here."

"Is that okay?" Ning Fengzhi asked, worried. "Maybe we can help."

"I'm just going to take a look. Too many people will make it easier to be noticed."

"When it comes to gods, you have to stay vigilant at all times."

Ning Rongrong and Tokisaki Kurumi's figures grew smaller as they left.

Ning Fengzhi let out a long sigh. "Even after breaking through to Title Douluo, do we still feel so weak?"

As a father, being looked down on by his own daughter.

That was quite a blow.

"Fengzhi, listen to Rongrong," Bone Douluo said, patting his shoulder.

"She might understand becoming a god at level 100 better than we do."

Ning Fengzhi clenched his fists, sighing after a long pause. "That's all we can do. I just hope Rongrong comes back safely, without any trouble."
