"No! You damn bastard, that's my power! It's mine!" As his body's strength gradually drained away, Conrad's voice became weaker and weaker.
"For thousands of years, you've been stealing and plundering resources from other planets to supply your own dimension." Aizen stared blankly at him as he twisted and struggled, his eyes calm. "So, this power doesn't really belong to you."
"You bastard, you still want to stand on moral high ground and condemn me?" Conrad roared as loud as he could, exerting all his strength. "Survival of the fittest, that's the law of the universe!"
"Ah, I agree with that statement." Aizen nodded and smiled. "So, it's only natural you end up like this."
Uh.
Conrad was stunned, not knowing what to say for a moment. If it's the law of the jungle, survival of the fittest, then it's normal for him to become the prey now, to be eaten, right?
But why did something feel off?
That last question popped into his head before his consciousness fell into eternal darkness.
"Why do I suddenly feel bad for this god?" Tony muttered, watching the scene before him. "Who exactly is the bad guy between the two of them?"
"Is the small fish automatically good just because it's eaten by the big fish?" Dr. Banner replied with a question. "Don't forget, they didn't think about whether they should eat the shrimp and smaller fish when they were eating them."
"So, survival of the fittest is essentially a paradox?" Tony seemed enlightened, his eyebrows furrowing deeply under his mask. "If that's the case, then how do we define what's truly good or bad?"
"Don't think too much about it. Don't forget you're a big business owner." Black Widow walked over and patted him on the shoulder. "If you didn't believe in survival of the fittest, your company would go bankrupt immediately."
"Hey, lady." Tony took a few steps back. "I'm not that familiar with you."
He still remembered that this woman had been a spy in his company. Tony hated being betrayed more than anything else in his life; he couldn't tolerate it.
"The city is returning to its original appearance." Captain America looked around and saw the blood-red sky gradually receding.
The mountains of skulls were visibly breaking down and disappearing. The blood-red roads returned to their original appearance, and the blue sky reappeared, with the sun shining softly.
Of course, the buildings that had turned into ruins couldn't be restored. Including the white presidential mansion, the entire area was a mess.
"Looks like it's finally over." Hawkeye breathed a deep sigh of relief.
Today's battle was the most tiring and despairing he'd ever fought. Neither the giant skeleton monster nor the dimension god could be defeated, no matter how hard he tried.
Facing such enemies, there was nothing but despair.
"Over? Isn't it a little early to make that conclusion?" Tony stared intently at Aizen in the field. "Don't forget, we don't know what that real big shark's position is."
Hawkeye's expression froze, and his eyes suddenly became serious. Damn it, if this big shark showed its teeth to them, they'd probably be swallowed up without a trace.
"Dr. Banner, can Hulk come out?" Black Widow walked to Banner's side and asked quietly.
Bruce Banner shook his head firmly. "I can't even feel my connection to him anymore."
Just as the Avengers all turned their wary eyes to Aizen, Aizen also turned his gaze to them.
Instantly.
All the Avengers tensed up, as if facing a great enemy.
However, Aizen didn't make any move towards them, only smiled slightly and softly said, "So that's it. You are the heroes of this world? Then, are you heroes of the few or heroes of the many?"
Before the Avengers could answer, a golden halo suddenly enveloped Aizen's entire body.
"I hope that next time we meet, you can give me a definite answer." After leaving those last words, he suddenly disappeared from the spot.
Uh.
The Avengers looked at each other, dumbfounded.
"Does anyone know what he meant by that?" Captain America couldn't help but ask.
"Don't ask me. I have no idea." Black Widow shrugged. She never considered such philosophical questions.
"The few versus the many?" Tony Starrk seemed to have some insight and fell into thought.
"Um, everyone." Bruce Banner coughed twice, interrupting. "Don't you think his last sentence was the really meaningful one? He'll come back?"
"Oh, damn it!" Hawkeye's mouth twitched, and he couldn't help but swear. "I'd rather go to the most brutal battlefield in the world than face those people again."
Everyone felt the same way and couldn't help but nod in agreement.
"Hehehe, guys!" Just then, a wisecracking voice suddenly rang out. "Even if you don't want to face it, you have to face the fact! As long as I'm in this world, my big brother will always stand behind me! Are you jealous? You bunch of idiots, are you jealous? Who told you not to have a good big brother? Hahahaha!"
Crack.
Before he could finish speaking, a pair of cold iron handcuffs were placed on Deadpool's wrists.
Before Deadpool could react or struggle, Captain America and Tony grabbed his arms on either side.
"Wade Winston Wilson, you are under arrest for obstructing official business, endangering public safety, and defaming the country." Black Widow pulled out a paper arrest warrant from her chest and waved it in front of him. "You have the right to defend yourself, but you'll probably be spending the rest of your life at our SHIELD headquarters."
"Oh, damn it! You can't do this!" Deadpool's smug tone instantly disappeared, and his entire face under the mask twisted. "I want to find my own lawyer! Don't sue you guys! You're violating human rights!"
Amid Deadpool's angry curses, he was pushed into a car sent over by SHIELD. This scene was seen by everyone in the chat group through the live broadcast.
