Orochimaru exclaimed. "But that kid is ruthless, killing those Kusagakure ninja without hesitation."
"Hehe, why waste time with probing? Starting with a powerful attack is more efficient," Kai said, landing on the ground.
Hearing this, Orochimaru was momentarily stunned, then recalled Kai's battle with Madara Uchiha.
In his eyes, Kai was a walking arsenal of ultimate attacks.
Starting with a meteor shower, and launching three at once.

"I…I don't know where she ran off to. We were ordered by the lord of Hōzuki Castle to find her," the Kusagakure ninja said, pleading. "Please don't kill me! I really don't know anything."
"The lord of Hōzuki Castle?" Kai raised an eyebrow, surprised.
In the original story, Kusagakure produced even fewer notable ninja than Takigakure.
The lord of Hōzuki Castle, if Kai remembered correctly, was a ruthless character.
Seeing the ninja's ignorance, Kai sighed and activated his Nine-Tomoe Rinnegan, launching a powerful genjutsu.
The Kusagakure ninja's expression changed drastically, as if he had seen a ghost.
They were low-ranking ninja, but they knew the trends in the ninja world.
They knew all about Kai's Nine-Tomoe Rinnegan.
Before he could react, his eyes glazed over, and he fell into a deep hypnotic state.
After a moment, Kai frowned.
After his battle with Madara, Kusagakure had been devastated.
The village's strength had plummeted.

The two main factions were led by the former village head, Akihiko Kusano, and the lord of Hōzuki Castle.
"Kai, did you destroy Kusagakure?" Orochimaru asked, unable to contain himself.
He was immediately met with a murderous glare from Kimimaro.
Orochimaru didn't care about this little brat, but one had to respect Kai.
"Let's go. Tell me where the lab is," Kai said, ignoring Orochimaru. He tossed the unconscious ninja aside. "But first, I need to retrieve a certain brat."
Seeing Kai's determined expression, Orochimaru swallowed his words.
He didn't care about Kusagakure's internal conflict.
He was more curious about why Kai was going to such lengths for a child.
He wondered what was so special about the kid that Kai was willing to offend Kusagakure.
Outside Kusagakure, within a hastily constructed building, a black shadow slipped in like a ghost, entering the central structure.
As the shadow entered, a raspy voice echoed.
"You're finally back. I thought you'd abandoned me with this mess." A figure wearing a black cloak, his eyes glowing green, emerged from the shadows.
Lights flickered on, revealing the intruder.
"Mujō, I just went out to take care of something. Do I need to report to you?" Black Zetsu said coldly.
He and Madara had left behind other plans.
The ambitious but weak Mujō was his target.
With a few words, Black Zetsu had stirred up a rebellion in the already chaotic Kusagakure.
Black Zetsu knew that Kai was too powerful.
But he could plant seeds of darkness to gradually increase his influence and eventually confront Kai.
The failed alliance led by Danzo had made him value Mujō even more.
If the alliance had succeeded, Black Zetsu wouldn't have returned to this dump.
"Hmph, Black Zetsu, now that you're back, I don't need to waste time talking to you," Mujō said coldly.
He had grown stronger under Black Zetsu's guidance.
He had been a jonin in charge of Hōzuki Castle.
After gaining power, he had seized control of the prison, releasing the inmates to bolster his forces.
This had its advantages and disadvantages.
Most of the prisoners had submitted to him, but many had escaped.
He was especially concerned about the parents of the red-haired brat who could heal any wound with a bite.
