Back inside the tower… on floor 95.
Scarlet stood in the middle of dozens of vampire corpses, her blade dripping with blood and merging with the puddle beneath her feet as it slowly flowed downward.
Behind her were her guildmates—Brunt, Lilly, Alice, and a few others who didn't look like they could put up any real fight anymore. They were drenched in sweat, their breaths heavy and shaky.
Even though their will and determination were strong, their bodies were clearly weak.
Because of this weakness, the other three guilds had advanced forward, leaving them behind.
"Sister…" Alice called out softly. "Can we sti—"
"We can't," Sophie replied in a cold and calm voice.
Some of those who still wanted to continue had their eyes widen. They wanted to protest, but they knew she was telling the truth.
They really couldn't. The others were already on Floor 99, probably battling the bosses to gain access to the final room.
Meanwhile, they weren't even done with the monsters on this floor.
