Dante walked in first, quietly scanning the small home with a calm but thoughtful expression. Sable followed closely, keeping his hands clasped behind his back. Lucien entered last, eyes bright with curiosity.
Alina's heart fluttered wildly, but she forced herself to smile, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear as she closed the door gently behind them.
She offered them seats with a gentle gesture, and the three of them settled onto her small couch. Dante sat with quiet composure, Lucien perched neatly beside him with bright curious eyes, and Sable sat stiffly at the edge, trying not to swing his feet even though he clearly wanted to. Alina sat across from them, her knees lightly brushing the coffee table, and she smiled softly at Dante, still unable to believe these three had shown up at her home so early in the morning.
"So what brings you to my doorstep, sir?" she asked, trying to sound composed even though her heart was still fluttering from the surprise.
