The magical chains that had emerged from the depths of Ryndor's soul, like serpents made of shadow and curse, were wrapped around his body, devouring a part of his soul core with each pulse.
The air in the room had grown heavy, and even the mana around those chains collapsed unnaturally, as if the world itself feared getting close to them.
Daniel's eyes narrowed for a moment. This was a curse. A very powerful curse with only one goal: to kill its target.
Such curses were called Silence Curses. When placed on a target, if the person spoke words they shouldn't, the curse would activate and try with all its power to kill them.
The power of the curse depended on who had cast it, and this curse Daniel was seeing was terrifyingly powerful. Powerful enough to kill any S-rank Awakened.
And with a bit more pressure, it could even kill national awakened, or Heavenly Mages.
