Chapter 212 - What Do you give?

As night fell, Medusa carried the ointment and the meal in her hands and entered the room as usual to attend to the sick patient.

The delicacies that Hestia had carefully cooked maintained their consistently high standard.

The special snacks supplied by the great temple not only possessed the primitive flavor of Crete Island but also carried a sweet and novel taste.

It seemed like honey had been added inside.

Tasting the lusciousness, Lorne could not help but devour a few more pieces.

Only then did he obediently lie down on the bed and wait for the medicine to be applied.

Medusa sat in front of the bed, reached out to scoop the red-pink ointment from the box, and evenly smeared it across the bruises on Lorne's back and chest.

The soft fingertips slid over the newly grown tender flesh at the wounds, bringing a wonderful sensation.

The slightly cool body temperature of the snake species further heightened the sensory stimulation.

'Feels so damn good.'

Feeling her gentle movements, the young man let out a heartfelt sigh of pure physical and mental pleasure in his heart.

Then comfortably stretched every muscle and tendon in his body and allowed the medicinal power to penetrate the skin, spreading to every part of his body along with the flow of his blood and qi.

The treated areas soon transmitted a tingling, itchy feeling, as if the flesh and blood were actively growing and healing.

'Is this... almost healed already?'

While Lorne muttered to himself, the numbness and itch on his body grew fiercer and fiercer, as if countless tiny ants were gently gnawing at the wounds and skin.

At the same time, the blood and qi inside his body began to accelerate, and the strange, burning heat gradually grew stronger.

No, this...!

Feeling somewhat strange,

Lorne twisted his body uncomfortably and turned his head to look at Medusa before he frowned and asked, "Hey, is this medicine expired?"

"It shouldn't be. Big sister and second sister only got it from Asclepius this afternoon." Medusa answered instinctively, then added, "They said the newly formulated medicine works even better and leaves no scars."

Hearing Medusa's explanation,

Lorne's heartbeat slowed by half a beat, and his throat suddenly felt dry.

"You actually believed them?"

"..."

Hearing his words, Medusa froze for a moment.

Then she seemed to realize something. Her face turned dark, and she stood up in fury. "I am going to find them right now."

However, Lorne pressed down on her rising shoulders and revealed a cold, sinister smile toward the door outside. "No need. I will handle this myself."

A moment later, the luminescent stone lamp inside the room suddenly went out.

The entire courtyard was swallowed by darkness and dead silence.

"Why is there no sound at all?"

"Strange. The windows are covered up too."

On top of the wall,

Not hearing the sounds they had expected, the two sneaky little figures could not help but poke their heads out, staring at the pitch-black courtyard with puzzled faces.

"No. Was the dosage not enough?"

"It must have been."

"Then let us add a little more for them."

After a quick whispered discussion, the two revealed wicked, mischievous grins.

Immediately afterward, Euryale drew her bow and nocked an arrow while Stheno hung a small crystal bottle on the arrowhead.

"Whoosh."

The bowstring vibrated.

The sharp whistle cut through the night air. The delicate arrow carrying the little medicine bottle shot forward through the darkness straight toward the blacked-out bedroom.

Yet before the arrow could land, one hand firmly caught the shaft.

A pair of purple eyes instantly locked onto the two sneaky figures on the wall, accompanied by a sinister, predatory grin.

"Found you."

"Run."

Realizing the situation had turned bad, Stheno and Euryale abandoned any thought of watching the show and frantically flipped off the wall, trying to flee the crime scene.

But a violent gust of wind swept past them, and the next moment, two iron-clamp hands instantly clamped down on their shoulders.

"Think you can run? Get back here."

Lorne, who had activated his Goat Godspeed, gave a cold snort and directly dragged the two little female imps from the wall straight into the room.

Beside him, Medusa efficiently closed the door and coldly cast a binding curse on the two restless older sisters.

With his hands now free, Lorne did not hold back at all as he demanded, "Where is the antidote? Hand it over."

"What antidote?"

The two sisters blinked, faces full of innocence.

However, Lorne ruthlessly exposed their little act, as he raised the small pink medicine bottle in his hand and questioned them with a cold snort.

"Then what is this?"

"A tonic."

Stheno and Euryale answered with absolute confidence, clearly having rehearsed their story in advance.

"I see..."

Heh.

Hearing this, Lorne gave a slight smile, seemingly believing their words.

Then his smile vanished in an instant as he shot his hands out at lightning speed, opened both of their jaws, uncorked the bottle, and poured the remaining half-bottle of the suspicious pink medicine straight down Stheno's and Euryale's throats.

"Cough, cough."

Once their jaws were reset, the two girls, now coughing violently, tasted the strange sweet flavor in their mouths before their faces changed drastically and their voices began to tremble.

"Y-you... what the hell did you just do?"

"You all said this was a tonic, right? Such a good thing, how could I bear to enjoy it all by myself?

Of course I have to let you two supplement yourselves as well, at least loosen up the soil in the house for me."

As he spoke, Lorne glanced at the rather flat chests of Stheno and Euryale.

The disdain in his eyes made the two opposite him so furious that smoke almost poured from their seven nostrils.

At this moment, they wanted nothing more than to bite this bastard to death right there for the utter humiliation he was forcing on them.

However, their younger sister Medusa showed zero mercy as she firmly pinned both older sisters' shoulders down, openly choosing to help the tyrant.

After sweeping his gaze across the resentment burning in Stheno's and Euryale's eyes, Lorne waved his hand with a cold sneer.

"Enough. Stop pretending. We are all poisoned now. Hurry up and hand over the antidote so we can all drink it together. That way it will be good for you, good for me, and good for everyone."

"There really is no antidote.…"

Stheno and Euryale wore faces full of grief and grievance.

Finally, under Lorne's suspicious stare, they stammered out the truth about this so-called tonic.

"Aphrodisiac?!"
