Frank's eyes darkened. "What about absorbing their powers?"
His voice was sharp. "If the crystal is removed from a human's head, can the power be taken?"
Cain shook his head slowly, regret evident in his posture.
"Compared to zombie crystals, human ones are far less effective." He sighed. "Worse still, if Hazel's research is correct, we'd need a medium, a proper medium, to transfer those powers."
Frank studied him for a long moment before nodding. "You've uncovered something valuable."
A faint smile crept onto his face. "Keep bringing me information like this, and you'll never regret choosing my side."
Cain rolled his eyes, unimpressed. "I'm not here for empty promises or shiny gold." He lifted his head. "I want something in return."
Frank frowned slightly. "And what would that be?"
Cain didn't hesitate. "Firearms." His voice was calm but firm.
"Enough to loot more people." His gaze hardened.
