Ray Brook stepped out from inside. Seeing the two of them hugging, he teased casually, "Still glued together?"
Derek let go of Bonnie and kicked him. Ray hissed softly, glanced at the bit of dust on his pant leg, and snorted, "I'll let it slide."
A dozen people got into the cars one after another, and the convoy set off grandly toward the destination.
Derek rested his hand on his forehead, leaning back in the quiet, comfortable car while Wade Banton and the others quacked away like a flock of ducks.
"There are tons of dart tournaments abroad. I swear Bonnie, Charlie, Derek, and me, we'd sweep every award."
Jim crossed his long legs and shot him a look. "Why would they need you on the team? Worried the results might be too good?"
Wade: "…"
He immediately grabbed Jim by the neck. "I swear nothing good ever comes out of that mouth of yours!"
Zavier Foster and Simon Braun laughed, filling the car with noise and energy.
