Erza reached the microphone.
She wrapped one hand around it before slowly looking across the thousands of kneeling soldiers before her. Every person in the War Hall waited for the mysterious Supreme Commander to speak, uncertain what kind of orders or words would come from someone capable of making their own Chief kneel.
Erza's violet eyes narrowed slightly.
She could smell their fear.
Not everyone inside the War Hall was frightened. Many of the veterans had already experienced enough battles to control themselves, while the captains, Elite Class agents and several experienced divisions possessed enough discipline to remain calm despite what was approaching.
But among the nearly ten thousand gathered here, there were still thousands whose fear remained painfully obvious to Erza's senses.
