Evening had already settled over Yuno City by the time Yuuta finally returned to his apartment building.
He stood outside the entrance for several seconds without moving, staring blankly toward the third floor. His clothes were damp with sweat, his breathing remained uneven, and exhaustion weighed heavily upon every part of his body after spending hours moving from one place to another without allowing himself any proper rest.
He had searched everywhere he could think of.
Street after street, building after building, Yuuta had continued searching with only one desperate hope keeping his exhausted legs moving. He hadn't expected Erza to forgive him immediately, nor had he imagined that everything between them could somehow return to normal with a few words.
He only wanted to see her.
Even a glimpse would have been enough.
