Chapter 316 - Chapter 314: Ōtsutsuki Genshiki Descends

Chapter 314: Ōtsutsuki Genshiki Descends

Willpower—

perhaps it really could resist the invasion of an Ōtsutsuki consciousness.

Would it work in the end?

Kitagawa Gen didn't know.

But during the second stage of a Kāma's awakening?

It clearly had an effect.

At the very least, Nagato was proving that now.

"Damn… you bastard!"

Nagato—already partially transformed into an Ōtsutsuki—roared in agony, struggling desperately against Momoshiki's encroaching will.

That corrosive spiritual pressure was terrifying.

He could feel himself slipping—

his identity, his memories, his voice…

Everything fading.

Something else was replacing him—

another will devouring him, erasing him until not even a trace remained in this world.

Nagato refused to accept such an ending.

He would never allow it.

"Tch… this one's will is stronger than I expected."

Momoshiki's expression twisted.

Nagato's resistance, combined with the "container" of Isshiki attacking from the outside, had bought just enough time for Nagato's consciousness to recoil back to the surface.

Annoying—but not dangerous.

At worst, it was… humiliating.

Being pushed back by a "lower creature" was disgraceful for an Ōtsutsuki.

"Still, with the Ten-Tails loose… this is becoming troublesome."

Momoshiki wasn't the only one on edge.

In the shared mindscape, Urashiki and Isshiki also looked grim.

"Damn it… Momoshiki got pushed back?!"

Urashiki's voice trembled with fury.

Isshiki's brows had knitted into a hard line.

"The Ten-Tails has appeared… which means Genshiki will show up soon."

At the name Ōtsutsuki Genshiki, even these three alien gods reacted like prey sensing a predator.

Because their current miserable state—

losing their bodies, relying on Kāma, living like ghosts—

was all thanks to him.

Isshiki had become the scapegoat of an entire clan.

Momoshiki and Urashiki had been crushed, stripped, and turned into materials for Genshiki's "Ascension Steps."

If Genshiki arrived now…

None of them dared imagine the result.

---

On the Battlefield:

"The… Ten-Tails! That's the Ten-Tails!"

Panic rippled through the shinobi ranks.

The battle had already pushed past what they believed possible, and now—

a calamity from myth stood before them.

A monstrous silhouette towered amid the dust clouds.

Its tail—each one thicker than any tailed beast—swung lazily.

BOOM—

One casual movement swept the smoke away.

The ground trembled.

A storm-force gust rolled outward, nearly toppling shinobi who stood hundreds of meters away.

When the dust finally cleared—

The full horror of the Ten-Tails was revealed.

That grotesque, twisted face.

That massive, blood-red Rinnegan with nine tomoe slowly rotating, surveying the battlefield.

"D-Damn…"

Wherever the nine-tomoe eye passed, shinobi felt something cold grip their souls—

fear, despair, and primal dread rose uncontrollably.

Even the reanimated shinobi felt it.

Some people had only one thought left:

"Run.

We're not meant to fight this thing."

---

Madara's face darkened.

"The Ten-Tails…? Then everything has already gone off track."

He didn't know what exactly had happened between Obito and Nagato, but since he had not yet been revived and the Ten-Tails had already appeared—

The situation was dire.

"Ten-Tails…"

Hashirama also halted.

His expression turned grave.

"Is this what you planned, Madara?!"

"My plan isn't that stupid."

Madara snorted, broke away from their fight, and headed straight for the Ten-Tails.

"Huh?! Hey—Madara!"

Hashirama shouted, but he followed immediately.

Sasuke and Naruto, fighting nearby, also turned toward the monstrous beast.

"Ten-Tails…"

Sasuke's Sharingan locked onto the distant colossus.

He slammed his blade down, pinning Itachi in place without even looking at him.

Naruto, however, was in trouble.

Inside his body—

Kurama was roaring in absolute terror.

"Hey—are you okay?" Sasuke asked.

Naruto grimaced.

"Kurama's acting weird—damn it, why now?!"

"You'd better deal with that fast," Sasuke warned, scanning the battlefield.

Even the reanimated shinobi had stopped moving.

Something colossal was approaching.

Something far beyond the Ten-Tails.

"Our problems… aren't ending anytime soon."

"I know. I'll hurry—!"

Naruto winced as a stabbing pain twisted through his stomach.

"Damn it, Kurama! What's wrong with you?!"

"You fool… do you even know what you're facing?!"

A flash—and Naruto found himself in his inner world.

Behind the new seal, Kurama's fur stood on end, trembling.

Those crimson fox eyes stared anxiously in one direction.

"That thing out there is the Ten-Tails.

Incomplete, yes—

but still the Ten-Tails. And that monster—"

"Yeah, I know."

Naruto nodded, eyes unshaken.

"But if I don't do something…

no one out there will survive."

His voice was firm.

"It doesn't matter if it's the Ten-Tails.

I'm going to protect everyone."

But Naruto's firm declaration didn't calm Kurama in the slightest.

If anything, the fox's fear only grew sharper.

"It's not just the Ten-Tails," Kurama growled, his voice trembling despite himself.

"You're about to face something far worse—

perhaps several beings far more terrifying."

As his words faded—

BOOM.

A thunderous shock rippled across the world.

The heavens trembled.

A moment later, a vast chakra suddenly welled up in the sky—

gathering, expanding, then descending like a tidal wave.

"W-What's happening?"

Countless shinobi looked up.

Only then did they realize the night sky had turned bright as day.

Moonlight, impossibly pure, poured down like a divine spotlight.

Clouds churned in a vortex, and a pillar of silver light touched the earth like a celestial ladder.

ROOOOAAAR—!

The Ten-Tails screamed—a hysterical, sky-shattering roar.

It crouched low to the ground, its massive Rinnegan glaring toward the heavens…

As if bracing for something it feared.

Shinobi quickly noticed—

The Ten-Tails was trembling.

"Is the… Ten-Tails afraid?"

Even Orochimaru's massive summoned serpent halted mid-strike, raising its head toward the sky.

The moonlight intensified, and within the descending beam—

a tall, white-clad figure slowly materialized.

"W-What kind of chakra is that…?

Does such a monster truly exist in our world?"

The Allied Shinobi Forces fell silent.

Many stood frozen, drenched in cold sweat.

Even veteran fighters felt fear—they had never seen a presence like this.

"Of course… it's him."

The members of the Akatsuki stared upward.

Many of them died because of that man.

Many were resurrected because of him.

"He really came…"

Madara's jaw clenched.

The memory of facing this man—of being utterly crushed—

flashed through his mind like a nightmare.

Behind him, Hashirama's expression hardened as well.

"This kind of monster…

No matter how many times I see it… he terrifies me."

Sasuke exhaled slowly.

He had expected Ōtsutsuki Genshiki to appear.

But the pressure radiating from him still made Sasuke's heart seize.

"That's… the legendary Ōtsutsuki Genshiki?"

Tobirama's face had turned the color of ash.

Beside him, Minato whispered:

"Incredible…

No wonder he's of the same clan as the 'Rabbit Goddess' Kaguya.

He even hunted his own kin."

"Tch. What an entrance."

Gen's God Tree clone muttered to himself.

His real body's arrival was no surprise.

The Ten-Tails had appeared.

It was time to wrap things up.

Compared to Gen's calmness, Obito, Nagato, and Kimimaro were pale with dread.

Especially Momoshiki—now partially taking over Nagato's body—whose expression twisted into pure hatred.

In the shared inner dimension of the three Ōtsutsuki—

Urashiki and Isshiki tensed, teeth clenched.

"The worst has happened…

He's really here."

---

Genshiki floated downward, bathed in moonlight.

He stopped just above the ground, weightless and serene.

His eyes briefly shifted toward Kitagawa Gen's clone—

a silent exchange passing between them—

Then he turned his gaze to Nagato and Obito.

And finally—

To the trembling Ten-Tails.

"Well… it's been a while, Momoshiki-senpai."

His voice drifted softly across the battlefield, gentle as a spring breeze.

"It seems you're not doing very well.

And I don't see Isshiki-senpai or Urashiki-senpai anywhere."

"You—!"

Momoshiki's stolen face twisted in rage.

But Genshiki only smiled lightly.

"Actually, perhaps I should call you… Ōtsutsuki Nagato."

His eyes slid to Obito.

"And you—

it's been even longer, hasn't it?"

A faint smile curled onto his lips.

"Ōtsutsuki Obito."
