Ryuji's question instantly left Touka speechless. She froze in place, and this also made her stop doubting whether Ryuji truly liked her.
"Damn it, he really likes me! Finally, he's showing his true colors!" Touka inwardly cursed, but she didn't have the intention of letting the misunderstanding turn real. Instead, she was more determined not to let Ryuji's scheme succeed.
"I will never let you succeed!" Touka said firmly.
In the clothing store, Ryuji picked out three sets of the cheapest clothes, then asked Touka to pay.
While paying, the cashier couldn't help but ask curiously, "Are you guys married?"
The reason for this question was that typically, only married couples have the financial control over their household expenses. If they were just dating, they would usually split the costs equally (AA system).
So, the cashier was curious because Touka was paying for Ryuji.
Of course, the cashier also thought that maybe Ryuji was a handsome young man being supported or pampered by a wealthy girl like Touka, since Ryuji's looks were indeed very handsome—so much so that the cashier thought he could be a star in the entertainment industry.

Hearing this, the cashier immediately apologized, "Sorry for the offense!"
Then, Ryuji and Touka left the clothing store. At this moment, Touka asked him, "You said explanations are useless, so why did you explain again? According to your previous logic, if you're innocent, then you don't need to explain at all. If someone misunderstands, that's their business, and it doesn't affect us at all."
