Chapter 254 - Chapter 253: Flying Thunder God Technique—Second Step: Guiding Thunder!

The moment the giant, whirlpool-like water spear pierced the chest of the super-sized lightning dragon, the entire world seemed to be plunged into a static silence.

At least that's what it felt like from Seimei's point of view.

The experience was similar to when you suddenly slip and fall or face great danger. To those facing such a predicament, the world around them seemed to slow down to the point of halting.

Of course, the world didn't actually slow down. They just experienced such a moment because of a combination of adrenaline rush, high-speed neural network firing, and your body's emergency mechanism that opened up your mind.

Your brain, your thoughts, moved so fast that the world seemed to move too slow in comparison.

And right now, Seimei was feeling the same sensation, even without trying.

His ocean-blue eyes turned crimson. Three pitch-black, slowly spinning magatama emerged from the depths of his red, glowing irises.

The rush of adrenaline and the fear of missing even a single detail caused Seimei to activate his mature, three-tomoe Sharingan involuntarily.

Seimei understood one thing. Although Tenseigan was as legendary as the Rinnegan, when it came to copying techniques, insight, learning capabilities, and attention to detail, his LV3 Tenseigan couldn't hold up against the almost peak-level three-tomoe Sharinhan.

After all, copying techniques, mind-numbing insights, weakness detection, learning enhancement, and attention to detail were never the core focus or features of Tenseigan.

Instead, the main attributes or powers of early-stage Tenseigan always revolved around X-ray vision, farsight, chakra manipulation, tenketsu control, 360-degree perception, overwhelming dynamic vision, chakra flow perception, and chakra pathway detection.

After leveling up its proficiency to LV3, Seimei had unlocked one of its gravity-related ocular techniques, which he was still fine-tuning.

Once he grew up, his physique became stronger, and his spirit crossed a certain threshold; his rate of proficiency accumulation with Tenseigan would skyrocket.

At that time, he could finally unlock the key features, including superior gravity control, flight, enhanced bodily enhancement like Tenseigan chakra mode, world energy perception, energy golems, cosmic energy manipulation, energy absorption, truth-seeking orbs, and other fearsome techniques.

Only then would it truly live up to its fearsome reputation as one of the most destructive Dojutsu of the Otsutsuki clan.

If Rinnegan signified creation, then Tenseigan embodied destruction.

But this was a topic for another time.

Right now, most of Seimei's attention was on the collision of two powerful S-rank Ninjutsu—Lightning Release: Kirin and Water Release: Hard Whirlpool Water Blade.

His pair of crimson Sharingan witnessed every detail.

The world seemed to freeze around him.

But the moment didn't last long.

Because even before a millisecond had passed, the two fearsome Ninjutsu finally erupted in the sky.

The water spear that had been plunged into the lightning dragon construct suddenly expanded and burst like a balloon, unleashing enough destructive power to bring ruin to everything situated within a couple of hundred meters around it.

The power was devastating enough to blow everything, including trees, rocks, buildings, and humans, to smithereens, leaving nothing behind.

And the lightning dragon had also detonated with equal explosive power.

Thunder clashed with the detonating water, trying to tear through its momentum and vaporize the very water with the sheer heat generated by the thunderous explosion.

The exploding thunder and water clashed with each other, forming a giant, purplish-white orb made of thunder and water. It looked like the water and thunder had reached some sort of harmony.

Swish! Swish! Crackle! Crackle!

But that illusion didn't last long, either.

Because in the blink of an eye, the seemingly stabilized giant orb of thunder and water expanded uncontrollably and exploded for one final time.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

The loud, ear-shattering explosion, carrying power equivalent to several kilotons of TNT, took place in the sky, releasing blinding light and an enormous shockwave imbued with deadly lightning arcs, heavy water particles, and intense heat high enough to vaporize every creature within its blast zone into nothingness.

Since the dark, stormy clouds spanning several kilometers were less than 1.5 kilometers away from the point of detonation, it was the first to bear the brunt.

The shockwave tore through the clouds, creating a large hole in the middle of the cloud formation, allowing the linear rays of the sun to reach the ground below.

But at the next moment, the accompanying wind pressure, lightning arcs, water particles, and heat completely dispersed the clouds, revealing a cloudless, blue sky.

"This…we messed up big time, didn't we?" asked Seimei as his pitch-black tomoe spun furiously in his crimson irises. His expression was grave.

Tobirama's expression also tightened. His eyes sharpened. "Yes, we did."

Tobirama and Seimei both knew that thousands of thunderbolts with the power to obliterate everything, hard water particles as fast as bullets with enough momentum to shatter stones, and the residual shockwaves would reach the training ground within a few seconds.

They would be safe. But the entire training ground would be ruined—reduced to dust. Even several Senju clan residences and ninjas near the training ground would be implicated.

The houses would be blown apart. And the unsuspecting ninjas could suffer from heavy injuries, even if they didn't die outright.

This was something neither Seimei nor Tobirama wanted. They couldn't let it happen, especially when they were at fault for going too far in their sparring match.

It was my fault for getting carried away. Now the people around here are in danger. I need to do something.

Seimei thought inwardly, and he was about to step forward and unleash another large-scale Ninjutsu to prevent the thunderbolts, hard water particles, and the shockwaves from reaching the ground.

But Tobirama was faster.

He stepped forward while making a few hand seals.

"It's a good thing that I have marked several places outside of Konoha with my Flying Thunder God Mark."

Making one final hand seal, Tobirama pushed both of his hands to the sky as if he were trying to push something heavy to defend against the incoming disaster.

His chakra flared. It traveled from his chakra pool, followed through specific chakra pathways, and came out of the tenketsu in his palm.

"You have already mastered the Guiding Thunder Technique after mastering the second step of the Flying Thunder God Technique. I couldn't be prouder of you."

"But today, let me demonstrate how to use this technique properly and on a large scale."

Countless pitch-black sealing runes, glowing in a faint blue light, appeared several meters above Tobirama and covered the entire training ground, forming a complex, large-scale Fuinjutsu Seal.

"So, watch closely."

With that, Tobirama stopped speaking. But his actions and sealing techniques completely captured Seimei's attention.

Seimei's Sharingan glowed red as he watched the technique unfold, which affected the very fabric of space.

A technique that could only be wielded by those who had exceptional space-time talent.

A technique that could change the course of the battlefield in a single moment.

A technique that Seimei found even more impressive than his uncle's era-defining Wood Release.

Crackle! Crackle!

The thunderbolts and shockwaves inched closer with every passing millisecond.

But Seimei knew that his father had everything under control.

Indeed, he did.

The moment when the destructive thunderbolts, heat, and the shockwave were just a few tens of meters away from the ground, Tobirama activated the Jutsu with an expression of utter calm.

He only spoke in his mind.

Flying Thunder God Technique—Second Step: Guiding Thunder

Soon, every single rune of the wide-scale Flying Thunder God Seal in the air glowed brightly in a blue light.
