Kayla pursed her lips. "You're so silly, Mr. Middleton. Ms. Chappelle feels inferior to you. She's afraid that the Middleton family will turn her away if she secretly marries you. What she wants is for you to court her before becoming an official couple. After you have dated for a while, take her to meet your family and seek their blessings. Only then should you talk about getting married."
Then she continued, "Even a child like me understands what she meant, so how is it that you don't? No wonder you still haven't won her over after so long. You have so much to learn from Daddy. It didn't take him long to win Mommy's heart."
Isaac raised his eyebrows.
