Yale turned around and left.
"Mr. Nathan, the Yanceys will always welcome you," said Zoey.
Yale slowed down his footsteps upon hearing that, but he did not reply, and he proceeded to walk away.
"Kayden, Kayla, it's up to you now. You know what to do, right?" Zoey said as she patted their heads.
They nodded and responded in unison. "Mommy, we will win Mr. Nathan's favor."
They didn't know what had transpired, but they roughly guessed that Leo had upset Yale.
"Good, now go."
"Okay, Mommy," they said before running toward Yale.
Zoey grinned as she watched them leave. "It appears, Leo, that having a pair of clever children is quite useful."
Leo wrapped his arms around her shoulders and said instead, "Darling, you have become really good at dealing with people. I'll leave it to you the next time I can't do so myself."
"Are you not worried about them beating me up?" Zoey joked.
