Sitting in the car back to River City, Margaret looked gloomy. She held a big box of peanuts and kept rolling her eyes at the driver in front of her.
Julian was driving carefully. The two of them did not have much interaction along the way.
Passing by an intersection, Julian stopped the car. He slightly turned around and said, "You can sit in the front."
He wanted her to sit on the passenger seat?
Didn't that mean she had to be next to this man?
There wouldn't be anything good if she sat next to him.
Margaret's heart was full of silent criticism as she forcefully rejected it. "I think it's good."
"Don't you think it's too crowded?"
Julian looked at Margaret, who had shrunk behind him. Beside her were a few boxes full of peanuts and a few other boxes. Margaret's luggage filled the entire trunk. The bags of peanuts could only be put beside her.
Margaret held a big box in her embrace. Couldn't she feel uncomfortable with a box of peanuts on her?
