Bruce held Hilla in his arms as he looked up and saw Horton slowly walking over. Bruce said calmly, "Welcome back."
The trip didn't seem to go well. Bruce just tightened his arms around Hilla. "Are you hungry? Let's go home. Mother prepared your favorite dishes."
Bruce looked down and gently fiddled with Hilla's hair behind her ear with a gentle smile.
He hadn't seen her for many days. He missed her so much.
As his grip on her hand tightened, she smiled and nodded slightly.
Bruce looked up at Horton and greeted, "Come with us to have dinner."
Hilla and Halle got in the car first. After a long trip, they felt tired.
Sitting in the car, they found it more comfortable than usual.
It was hot in River City. The sunshine would do harm to their skins if they stood outside.
Horton and Bruce put down their luggage. Then, Horton turned around and said, "What I want is more than a meal, Bruce."
They fell silent, and Horton forced a smile.
