"Have any other Vasto Lorde-class Hollows arrived?"
Neliel had also gathered this information and quietly made note of it. Following behind Sung-Sun, she entered the Hollow King's Palace.
Once they stepped inside, the entire sky brightened, as though they had stepped into another world.
Within the palace stood countless tall towers. The ones on the outer edges were generally shorter, while the closer to the center they got, the taller the towers rose.
At the very center stood a towering structure that reached into the heavens, it looked to be several thousand meters high.
"So amazing… this is almost like the human world," Pesche swallowed hard and looked around in awe, speaking as though he had never seen anything like it before.
To be fair, in the desolate Hueco Mundo, he really hadn't seen such a magnificent palace complex.
"All of this was Lord Rosse's design, but limited by the skill of the craftsmen, many parts couldn't be realized," Sung-Sun said softly, covering her mouth as she chuckled.
The blueprints Rosse had originally drawn were far grander than this.
But blueprints were one thing, getting that group of Arrancars to handle delicate craftsmanship was truly asking too much of them.
So in the end, they could only build it into this somewhat rough version of the design.
"What kind of person is Lord Rosse?", Neliel asked.
Since she was willing to come here, it already showed she had some intention of joining him.
But before doing so, she needed to understand Rosse's ideals.
If he turned out to be another tyrant like Barragan, she would turn around and leave immediately.
"Lord Rosse? He's a truly good person. To be honest, if not for him, Lady Harribel and I might have ended up enslaved by the Shinigami," A trace of nostalgia flickered in Sung-Sun's eyes, but more than that was respect for Rosse.
After countless reflections, she and the others had all come to the same conclusion: if not for Rosse, they might very well have fallen right into Aizen's trap.
If Aizen had been the one to 'save' them, they probably would've ended up being deceived to death.
"See? I knew it! Lord Rosse isn't like what Nnoitra said at all, he's a good person!", Pesche said indignantly.
This time, only he and Neliel had come; many of the Hollows who usually followed them hadn't.
They had only come to observe the situation. If something felt off, they would leave quickly.
But if things looked good, they didn't want to keep wandering aimlessly.
For now, at least, things didn't look bad.
"Of course Lord Rosse is a good person. He promised us that he'd create a world where all Hollows could live under the sunlight," Sung-Sun said with a light laugh.
At first, she had doubted such words, mostly because she couldn't imagine how that could ever be possible.
To live under sunlight, they would have to either take over the Soul Society or conquer the Human World.
But in these past two months, they had followed Rosse to his own world once.
Just from that brief trip, she already understood how Rosse planned to make it happen.
Hueco Mundo's Hollow King Palace wasn't their final destination.
Their goal was to dedicate this world to Rosse, and then live in that better world he would create.
"To create a world where Hollows can live under sunlight… what a noble ideal," Neliel murmured, moved.
She truly had never heard of such a dream before.
While everyone else fought and devoured one another to survive, there was already a Hollow with such a grand vision. It made her feel a bit ashamed.
She had always thought that protecting the weak around her was already something remarkable.
"We're here."
Small talk always ended quickly. With the power of several Adjuchas-level beings, they soon reached the central tower.
Under Sung-Sun's guidance, they arrived before a meeting hall.
As the doors slowly opened, the full scene within was revealed.
Neliel showed no fear. Following behind Sung-Sun, she stepped right in.
Pesche, however, stopped outside and went into a nearby waiting room.
Just from the auras he could feel inside, he knew this wasn't a place someone of his level could enter.
It would be best for him to stay put and not cause trouble.
"Neliel, welcome," Rosse sat upon the highest throne, clad in a black robe lined with gold. Smiling, he applauded her arrival.
Since becoming king, his demeanor was indeed very different from Barragan's.
Neliel was already the second Vasto Lorde-class Hollow to come to him of her own accord.
"Greetings! I'm Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck."
Neliel nodded to those seated around her, though she felt a bit awkward.
All the Hollows present were humanoid in form.
Placed among them, she seemed like the only one who hadn't yet fully evolved.
"Another new comrade! Looks like you really came to the right place. I'm Lilynette, and this here is my other half, Starrk," Lilynette giggled, waving cheerfully at Neliel. She was seated just below Harribel, and below her sat Starrk.
"Hey, hey, I'm the main body here," Starrk sighed helplessly. But after saying that one line, he leaned lazily back in his chair again.
He had to admit, this place was much better than where they'd been before, livelier, more comfortable. It really did feel like paradise.
"It's all the same! Don't ruin your own image," Lilynette said with a glare before turning back to Neliel.
"If you want to become like us, just find Rosse, he'll help you. See that blue-haired guy over there? With just a whoosh, he turned into what he is now."
As she spoke, Lilynette pointed toward Grimmjow, who sat below Starrk, his face dark and brooding.
"I am not blue-haired!", Grimmjow ground his teeth and glared furiously at Lilynette.
If he hadn't just tried to hit her earlier, only to get beaten half to death by Starrk, he definitely wouldn't have let this annoying brat off.
"Nuh! Uh! Your name's too awkward and hard to remember. From now on, you're just Blue-Hair," Lilynette ignored him completely.
If Rosse hadn't performed the Arrancar transformation for him, someone like Grimmjow wouldn't even be able to get within three meters of them without being crushed by their spiritual pressure.
But after becoming an Arrancar, at least he could stand beside them now. That barely made him one of their comrades.
"Can I ask something? Does Lord Rosse really give us Arrancar transformations for free?", Neliel asked quickly once the two finished their squabble.
She had a feeling that the people here weren't aggressive, but every single one of them had a very distinct personality.
In a group like this, things might actually turn out to be quite interesting.
"I don't know about that. I became an Arrancar on my own, only learned the name for it after I came here," Lilynette said with a shrug. She was still new, and didn't know much about the details.
"There's no cost at all, as long as you're willing to join us. Neliel, it's been a while," Harribel spoke up, nodding gently toward her.
They had met a few times before, though only as passing acquaintances.
As a fellow female Vasto Lorde, Harribel genuinely respected Neliel's way of doing things.
"I'm willing to join you all."
Neliel nodded lightly, her agreement clear and straightforward.
For now, the new Hollow King's side seemed far more comfortable. She decided to stay and see for herself.
If it turned out not to be right, she could always leave later.
