Chapter 15: The Space Princes

Year 762 (DB Calendar) — One Year Later

The sky above the rocky badlands cracked open like glass. Two spherical space pods slammed into the earth, kicking up a colossal mushroom cloud of dust and debris.

As the smoke cleared, Prince Vegeta and Nappa stepped out onto the scorched ground.

"So this is the planet Kakarot was sent to," Nappa grunted, cracking his massive knuckles while tapping his Scouter. "Hey, Vegeta... Raditz wasn't lying. There are a few strange power readings over in that city."

Vegeta sneered, crossing his arms. "Hmph. It doesn't matter what tricks these earthlings have up their sleeves. A lower-class Saiyan and a bunch of backwater primitives are nothing to elite warriors."

BOOM!

Before Nappa could even step forward, three sonic booms echoed through the clouds.

Landing smoothly in front of the Saiyans were Goku, Tony Brief in his gleaming gold-and-silver Mark X Nanotech Armor, and nine-year-old Gojo Brief, who was floating lazily with his hands behind his head.

And sitting on a comfortable lawn chair perched high on a nearby cliff, holding an umbrella and a cold glass of lemonade, was Ron.

The Dilemma of an Overpowered Dad

Up on the cliff, Ron took a sip of his lemonade, leaning back as he adjusted his sunglasses.

With his newly integrated Lloyd Saloum Template nearing 80% Synchronization, Ron's internal magic engine was getting absurdly ridiculous. He had spent the last few days realizing that if he kept pulling out new god-tier power systems every time a villain showed up—from Haki to Dark Auras, Lightning, Gravitational Force, Cursed Energy, Gourmet Flames, and now Lloyd's Multi-Layered Compound Magic—his family and friends were going to start asking some serious questions.

I mean, how do I even explain Lloyd's magic to Roshi or Bulma? Ron thought, cracking a subtle smile as a tiny, 50-layer compressed Fireball spell circle spun invisibly on his pinky finger. "Oh yeah, guys, I just woke up Tuesday and decided to become an ancient arch-mage"? Yeah, no. Time to play it low-key.

Ron decided right then and there: he wasn't going to raise a single finger during this fight.

His kids were more than strong enough to handle this, Goku was itching for a brawl, and Ron was perfectly content being the peanut gallery.

The Battle Begins (and Ron's Commentary)

Down in the crater, Nappa glared up at the cliff, tapping his Scouter aggressively as it beeped.

"Hey! Who's the guy sitting on the lawn chair up there?!" Nappa barked, pointing a thick finger at Ron. "Is he disrespecting us?!"

Ron pulled down a microphone he had rigged to a floating Capsule speaker and amplified his voice across the valley.

"Hey! Big guy! Chrome-dome!" Ron's voice echoed with high-definition clarity. "First of all, nice armor, very 90s wrestling villain. Second, I'm just the snack coordinator today! Don't mind me, carry on with your alien invasion!"

Vegeta's eyebrow twitched violently. "Insolent scum..."

"I'll crush him first!" Nappa roared, charging a massive blast of Ki in his mouth and firing a devasting beam straight at Ron's cliff.

Ron didn't even move. He didn't use Haki, he didn't use Gojo's Infinity, and he didn't use Lloyd's barrier magic. He simply took a slow sip of lemonade through his bendy straw.

Before Nappa's beam could reach the cliff, nine-year-old Gojo Brief flicked his wrist. The Infinity Barrier intercepted the blast mid-air, causing Nappa's ultimate attack to flatten harmlessly into a tiny, glowing green pancake before fizzling into static.

"Missed me!" Ron called out over the speaker, popping a gourmet chip into his mouth. "Solid 3/10 on the aim, big guy! You might wanna get your eyes checked, or maybe buy a Scouter that actually works!"

The Next Generation Steps Up

Nappa stared in absolute, jaw-dropping shock as a nine-year-old boy brushed off his blast like it was a minor inconvenience.

"WHAT IS THIS PLANET?!" Nappa screamed, grabbing his head in frustration. "Raditz said there was a fat cat, a guy in iron, and a blindfolded kid—why is EVERYTHING HERE BROKEN?!"

Tony Brief stepped forward, his Mark X suit humming with golden Force Control lightning as two massive plasma cannons extended from his shoulders.

"Alright, space prince," Tony smirked behind his faceplate, aiming straight at Vegeta. "My dad's on union break, which means you're dealing with the Brief family B-team. Who wants to get vaporized first?"

Goku stepped beside him, dropping into his Turtle School stance with a huge, ecstatic grin. "I get the big guy!"

Up on the cliff, Ron leaned back in his chair, putting his feet up on a cooler. He tossed a wave over to Goku and his sons, looking like the ultimate relaxed dad on a Sunday afternoon.

"Go get 'em, boys!" Ron cheered, adjusting his sunglasses. "Remember: whoever leaves a crater bigger than Grand Canyon has to clean the garage on weekend!"
