Since Thanos could not completely destroy Earth, he decided to do what he wanted to avoid at the beginning.
To use the beam enhanced by the Power Stone to destroy the shield and then, with normal output, annihilate Earth.
Although this made finding the stones incredibly difficult, even almost impossible, Thanos was willing to do it.
And so he did.
With all the beams of his fleet concentrated into a single one, the attack struck North America directly, exploding across hundreds of kilometers and expanding at an incredible speed.
In seconds, millions died.
"It is a madman."
Fury stared toward Earth.
Although the Avengers Watchtower is also in space, who knows how much technology it has to make it undetectable. Not only that, it possesses several magical spells that mean it is not actually in real space, but in a kind of pocket dimension located there.
As the Avengers' base, it is clearly the safest place that exists, even safer than Earth itself, with each member contributing the best of themselves, the smartest man on the planet, the King of Asgard, the Sorcerer Supreme, the King of the most technologically advanced nation on Earth, and many more, all giving their best to protect it.
And from that place, they watched as Thanos attacked Earth, leaving it completely destroyed.
"Fury, what is happening? You said this was impossible," Tony roared in rage.
Fury remained silent.
"Tony, calm down," Thor intervened.
"It is easy for you to say it, Asgard is safe."
With Tony as the trigger, chaos soon spread, with everyone angry, afraid, and many other emotions mixed together.
Strange observed everything in silence, without reacting. As someone who had used the Time Stone many times, he knew they were outside the natural causal flow. Someone was manipulating time.
Normally he would not be sure, but at that moment he forced himself to be.
Then they saw how Earth, which was already an absolute disaster, grew even worse. The entire planet dried out completely and began to crack.
A massive fiery energy rose from the surface, transforming into a gigantic phoenix that let out a mournful cry before splitting in two.
"Jean," Loki said with disbelief in his voice. Despite everything, knowing that they were still alive gave him some relief amid the disaster.
"S-she is fine," Wanda murmured, and the energy that threatened to explode inside her, which only Loki had noticed and tried to calm until moments ago, slowly subsided.
But at that moment, a SHIELD agent entered the room and the situation changed.
"Sir, the SHIELD branch, Black Room, which was deployed in advance, has been completely destroyed. There are no survivors."
Before anyone could react to the news, chaos magic spread throughout the place, shattering the barriers of the pocket dimension and returning the Watchtower to normal space.
Wanda went completely blank as her energy continued to expand and moved toward Earth.
Both phoenixes noticed this and tried to fight against it, but the magic ignored them and focused solely on the planet, completely surrounding it. All of Earth began to change, passing through multiple states, liquid, gaseous, solid, crystalline, becoming a drawing, and many other forms.
Earth did not stop changing endlessly, as if searching for the correct form without ever finding it.
Meanwhile, the phoenixes flew through space, destroying Earth again and again with their sorrowful cries, as if they were two girls who had just lost their mother.
Suddenly, Earth stopped, returning to its destroyed form. The phoenixes also fell silent, and both looked in the same direction, toward Thanos' ship.
Chaos magic moved there as well, and when the three forces reached the ship, everything exploded.
Space cracked like glass as the dimensional forces collided with each other. However, they did not attack at random, but concentrated on a single point right next to Thanos. Due to the side effects of the collision, Thanos died once again.
When he returned to the beginning, Thanos breathed heavily, frightened, having never imagined that forces of that level existed on Earth.
He looked at the place beside him, where both energies had concentrated, and raised his hand. There, hidden in space, was the Time Stone.
Thanos took it and observed it with surprise, but above all with fear, because the stone had a crack.
He did not take long to notice that he was no longer in a time loop, but in normal time.
His first idea was to try to recreate the loop, but he realized that he could not. Not because the stone lacked sufficient power, but because, although he felt he could do the same as always, simply doing that did not work, as if the stone had been forbidden from doing so.
Thanos laughed, not knowing what to do.
He decided to retreat.
He decided that it was impossible to win and that he had to flee from that place. Perhaps, in thousands of years, when everyone was dead, he could return and take the stones. He knew it was impossible at that moment, but at some point he would return to fulfill his purpose.
However, before he could give the order to retreat, his body moved on its own.
A subordinate entered the room.
"Lord Thanos, the energy of the beam does not expand or disperse upon impact. It seems to be transported to another place. In addition, the cracks in the shield are all exactly the same, which suggests that they actually form a pattern that appears when the beam is transported."
"The Mirror Dimension," Thanos' voice said.
But although he said it out loud, inside he was trying to understand what was happening.
As if he were being controlled, Thanos stood up on his own and charged the energy cannon with energy from the Mirror Dimension.
Immediately afterward, he sent the Outriders to Earth. After seeing them defeated and hearing his subordinate tell him that the Widows were so strong thanks to Cull Obsidian's body, Thanos ordered the landing.
Action after action, everything repeated identically to the first time Thanos arrived on Earth, and at the end of the day, he was once again standing before the Avengers, about to lose.
However, at that moment, he was finally able to move, avoiding having his arm cut off like last time.
"Who?" he asked furiously.
The group looked at him without understanding.
"Me, of course. You should have figured it out by now, right?" Leonardo said.
Thanos looked at the man in front of him, white-haired and blue-eyed, with an annoyed smile on his face and a gaze as if he knew everything.
"Laplace's Demon, what is your goal?" he asked with fury.
"My goal is simple, here," Leonardo said, extending his hand. In it were three stones of different colors.
"Leonardo?"
"What are you doing?"
"Are you an idiot?"
"Do not give him that."
The voices of the four echoed, but Leonardo ignored them and handed the stones to Thanos.
"Use them," Leonardo said, placing them directly in his hand and stepping back so Thanos would not think he was lying.
