Warmth bloomed in Alex's chest, bringing a smile upon his lips as he woke up and saw Fran's sleeping face beside him. He didn't want to wake her, so he just looked at her.
This was his first time seeing Fran asleep. She looked so at peace that he didn't dare make a sound or sudden movement.
Had he wanted to wake her, his lips would've already made their way to her cheeks. For now, he could only observe and enjoy the sweet sight.
Thirty minutes later, the young lady showed signs of waking up. Upon opening her eyes, she was met with Alex's tender gaze.
"Good morning," Alex said with a smile. "you slept extremely well."
"Good morning," Fran replied before ducking under the blanket, seemingly embarrassed about something.
Alex waited until the young lady peeked out of the blanket and looked at him.
"How long have you been staring at my face?" Fran asked. "Don't tell me you've been doing it for hours?"
