He hadn't gotten the result he wanted.
The ideal ending would have been for King Aetherion and his Dragon Queen to annihilate the invaders.
And that wish didn't come to pass.
The two uninvited guests he couldn't kick out of his domain had intervened at the last moment, overturning the Hermit's grand plan. One he had spent decades carefully preparing.
The people from Reverse Arcana had managed to escape their fate because of that.
Fortunately, it would no longer be possible for these invaders to return to Hy-Brasil, let alone turn it into their base of operations.
The Hermit then shifted his attention toward Alex's friends, who also remained frozen in time.
Hy-Brasil had already served its purpose.
There was no longer any reason for him to keep them trapped on the island.
