Prince Asta had given Valentina two orders.
First, investigate Fran's lover.
Second, investigate the lady they had encountered in the hallway.
Valentina decided to look for Fran's lover first. It wasn't hard. After all, no one would refuse to talk with a beautiful lady.
In fact, she was Prince Asta's first woman.
Before Prince Asta became the Crown Prince, Valentina was already serving him.
They first met when the Prince was just ten years old.
Many noble households would send their third or fourth daughters to train as maids, hoping they'd be chosen to serve the princes of the Aetherion Empire.
This was one of the many ways they could strengthen their family's relationship with the Royal Family.
It also gave them many benefits, even more so if their daughter became a mistress of the future king of the empire.
