"Alexander, have you missed us?"
Sophie used "us."
"Of course, I miss Mommy a lot."
Sophie exchanged a cautious glance with Alexander, signaling that there was someone else behind.
Alexander, a bit belatedly, took small steps toward Asher Land.
"Uncle, are you feeling better?"
Before going to the United States, Sophie had told Alexander that Asher Land was sick and she needed to take care of him.
Seeing Alexander begin to "engage" with Asher Land, Sophie's mood relaxed a bit.
"Hey, Asher Land, Alexander is talking to you, at least show some response..." Sophie couldn't help but tug on his sleeve when she saw Asher Land standing there with a frosty expression. Sophie realized she would have to teach him how to interact with kids, though it seemed like a daunting task.
Asher Land's stiff mouth curled slightly.
"Much better, thank you."
