Sophie thought that between Eva and Luke, it was a case of willing engagement—Eva was willing to scold, and Luke was willing to be scolded. What more was there for her to say?
"Since you won't tell her, should I go talk to her myself next time?" It seemed like Asher still 'felt bad' for his brother.
